I came by this Starbucks located in Lake Forest for a quick pick me up. I typically go to another coffee store now, but used to go to Starbucks. This time I got their Pumpkin Spice Latte, which is my go to always for Fall season. It is quite sweet, rich, comforting, and perfectly captures the cozy flavors of autumn. However, I did ask for less sweetness but it wasn't done right. Still too sweet. The good thing about Starbucks is that if you don't feel that the drink is made right, they will remake it for you. Beyond seasonal offerings, Starbucks provides a wide range of tea drinks and iced refreshers as well. There are also sandwhiches, pastries, and cake pops. Though I do see that these items are trucked in and in plastic wrap and then the staff unwraps them and put them in their display box. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, this store location is somewhat clean. The tables and chairs can be sticky as some previous customers didn't clean up after themselves[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There's always something wrong with my drink, (Specifically, watery drinks, too hot drinks) they are a small location and only ever have two baristas making drinks and they need 4 - understaffed. They are too rushed and that realistically isn't the baristas fault but corporate and management. Awful service. I came in around 7:30AM, about two hours after they opened. All the employees behind the counter looked like they were still setting up for the day. Nobody greeted me, even after I went up the counter and said "hello" the staff continued to ignore me until they were finished doing whatever they were doing, without acknowledging my presence whatsoever. I can understand that employees might be busy with a task when walking in - but they deliberately ignored me - not even a quick glance to say they would help me in a moment. They were not making other people's orders, just doing back of house stuff. When an employee finally came to the register they still did not greet me, or even ask what I want to order - they just stared at me blankly, as if I was being a huge nuisance and wanted me to leave. So I did. There's no way I'm ever spending money at this business. The cafe is pretty much the same as other Starbucks - clean, organized, and modern look. Debating between Summer Skies Drink and Summer-Berry Lemonade since they are the new Starbucks Refreshers beverages, the barista, Lindzey was a great help choosing Summer-Berry Lemonade since it's nice to start with basic. The popping boba has a fun texture but the drink itself wasn't that special. I was expecting more berry flavor and sweeter boba whenever I pop it but it all together, it tasted like Arnold Palmer for some reason. It was very bland. I really like this location. Everytime I come here, I am greeted with a smile. My drinks and food are made in a timely manner. I find the store clean and I like that there is indoor seating as well as a patio too. When you are treated nice, you make note of where that kindness comes from. I have been served by Jenna, Carly, Nick, Emerson and the manager and are all very kind, taking the time to engage in small talk with me like asking how my day is and such. I went in today to get my LG sugar free cold brew and a breakfast sandwich and a scone, waited for about 13 minutes and the went to work getting there about 2 min late. I am a nurse so I didn't have time to eat my food cause I had patients however after my parents were all done I sat down to find mold on my food. I am extremely upset. A million Starbucks and, yes, this is another one. Overall, this is not a bad location. It's one of the smaller Starbucks but it is nicely organized, nicely designed, and generally fairly clean. They have a nice indoor space as well as a fairly large outdoor patio. So, it's your choice, where you want to enjoy your coffee. In terms of staff, mostly, they are fairly nice and efficient. But, as is common with Starbucks, they can mess up your drinks periodically and/or your general order. But, I guess that is just the nature of the beast at Starbucks. The one problem with this location is the parking lot. It is just kind of poorly designed. There is no easy direct access in and out of this parking lot especially if you are driving on Bake. That being said, once you're in the parking lot it's easy to get to Starbucks but you may have a little bit of a problem getting out. Overall, this is another Starbucks and if you are in the area and want what Starbucks has to offer this is a place to go. read more

We have been frequenting this location since my husband finally decided to become a Gold member. We went to another location on the way to work but they kept messing the drinks up, or would be out of one of the teas as early as 5am, and my husband swore his syrup tasted like mint half the time. They never really knew what to do about it. We finally gave up and went to this location. One downfall over the previous one was that this one does not have a drive thru, but if they can get the job done it's worth it anyways. We come here at about 5am so I am half asleep. We come in three to four days a week for our morning teas. I get the venti iced green tea unsweetened, and my husband gets the venti iced black tea sweetened. Since we come here so often, the morning crew knows us and knows our orders, almost all of them anyways. It's nice to be recognized and remembered, and it's as simple as walking up and paying and then waiting just a minute or two unless it is busier that day since they know our orders. Everyone is very friendly and appreciative as well as welcoming. We especially appreciate a particular guy who is here typically on Tuesdays and sometimes Wednesday mornings. Sadly I do not know his name, but I would like to get it when I see him next and update this review and let corporate know. It is not often that people get recognized for the good work that they do. As soon as we walk in he grabs the cups and makes our drinks. We feel he makes them the best tasting and he is very friendly. We appreciate the staff here and hope that they get recognized for it. We pretty much never have any issues here. It seems that some reviews as of late are very low but it could be the shift we all arrive on. Pretty typical Starbucks. It's a fairly small one so if you're looking for a place to study/work you might not find a spot here, depending on the time of day. They also have a nice little patio outside with tables and chairs. The baristas here are all pretty good- I've never had to wait that long for my drink, and the only time I've actually seen it get crowded is early in the mornings when people are getting their coffee before work. After receiving numerous bad drinks at my previous go to location we recently switched our route to work and began coming to this location The staff here is friendly and after just a few visits already recognize us and know our morning drink order. The service is fast and efficient and I have only received an incorrect drink once (it could have possibly been right but was so lightly sweetened it wasn't noticed). The location is rarely busy at the time of morning we visit which is nice and our drink orders come up out very quickly. The layout of the store is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating but can get a bit cramped if there's a line as there really isn't anywhere designated to wait for your drink. I like the fact that they go out of their way to post the specials near the register for BOGO drinks or free pastries with drink order etc... To this point, this location has delivered in the areas that our previous store lacked. We went back to the other location again yesterday as we were right near it and my wife's drink was so diluted with water that it had little to no green tea taste and was discolored. This will continue to be our weekday morning stop on the way to work. read more

I'm actually surprised when I like a Starbucks location so I feel the need to write about it (on Yelp). Came here after lunch across the street to get a caffeine buzz. The cool thing about this location is the spacious interior and the wonderful patio that hides the street. The road traffic will still add to your conversation but you can actually enjoy a quiet relaxing cup of coffee which might I add is made right. Woohoo! Stay away from this place. While you may get the occasional good cashier, the Baristas will ignore you most of the time. The service here is good or not depending on the people. Some are really accommodating -- like this guy who would suggest whip cream or if I'm even hesitant there is a cold drink for such a thing and he happily reassures me there is and if I'd even like whipped cream. A while ago however there's this barista who made my drink and when I asked for it to be sweetened he gave a little attitude -- how do u even want it sweetened ? As if the drink itself doesn't come with it. It's just a little sweetener, the other Starbucks always willingly does it for me and even asks if it's perfect. This one however I had to specify myself instead of them offering options and I felt a little lack of service. If I'm not happy w my drink just offer to make it better is it that hard? I've been to this location several times, and have been pretty lucky with parking most of those times. If it's around lunch time forget it. It's really difficult to find parking. Other than that, this Starbucks is scaled down compared to most others, but has always delivered on service and speed.
