I was really excited for this Starbucks because it is so convenient for me.... But.... Thank goodness for mobile ordering otherwise I might not go there. There have been times where the team has been super friendly using my name and such but so many times I have watched them ignore customers. Too often I have seen someone waiting to order and 2 or 3 people keeping busy behind the counter walking back and forth and not even greeting the waiting customer. I totally understand there is work to be done back there brewing coffee, restocking etc. but a customer should never stand at the counter wondering when they will even get greeted. I could completely look past this if the shop was very busy and the baristas and other employees were trying their best to keep up, but unfortunately that has not been the case. The feeling is as if the customer is an imposition for them to get their "work" done. A simple warm greeting goes a long way and again, unfortunately, that is missed a lot. I'm disappointed... So happy that they opened up this new Starbucks close to my work. Used to have to go into Safeway and wait forever to get my drink, and have people serve me that didn't look like they wanted to be there. The staff at this new location are very friendly and quick to get your order ready. Not to mention that on only my 3rd trip in, someone already remembered my name and greeted me as I entered. The Safeway location couldn't even remember my drink and I went there 5 days a week for more than 3 months... 5 stars and I didn't even mention how nice the remodel looks and how different it looks from the old straw hat pizza that had been there before. I believe those concerned has read my previous one, because my sentiments are the same and I still wish those two reviewers below blessings, that hopefully they will be more positive and provide constructive criticism, rather than telling people to not go to a business. Let's help others succeed. I have been to this Starbucks location several times. I had the opportunity to actually go here one morning with my son on a weekday and on a weekend. My son loves the ample space inside, because he can run around. The location is really good with a parking lot, but it does get pretty busy during the weekend. So, if you are in a hurry, be mindful and don't ding them if it's busy, expect it will be busy and more time will be needed before you can get your order, but no worries, you will get your caffeine fix! Honestly, I don't even notice the music that was playing here (or for anyplace I go to actually). I go in to get coffee and not to review a music playlist. If you have the time, chat with Mark, the manager! He is always asking for genuine feedback on how to improve the store. The employees here are young and friendly. 11:45 am I wandered in here after not being able to find a parking spot in the Linda Mar shopping center. Tried to order a cup of the dark roast and I get the "sorry, we don't have that." I didn't even get it'll be a few minutes while we brew more. I was under the impression they brewed dark roast until noon. I guess I was mistaken. Hopefully theres parking available in the Linda Mar lot, at least they have dark roast available in the mornings. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I'm quite disappointed. I ordered a simple drink, a venti passion tea lemonade and they gave me 90% ice and 10% drink. That's probably a generous approximation too! I took maybe 5 sips and I'm done. Not to mention the barista didn't even ask if I wanted my receipt. She just figured I didn't and walked away. I've been going to this store regularly for years. I've found the staff to be friendly and courteous and have rarely had any problems with drink or food orders. Anytime there was a problem, staff were courteous and fixed it. As far as speed of orders, it varies depending on how busy they are, as you might expect. I would give it 5 stars if not for the music. They sometimes play it too loud, though they do turn it down if I ask them to. read more

I went to Starbucks today like I do every week and sometimes two times a week to get myself and my daughters a vanilla bean frappachino with a whole banana with whipped cream and extra caramel and me, a venti chi latte. As we were ordering from Fred, a wave of terrible body Odor came my way and thought ... Who stepped into the cafe? Fred made my daughters drinks and forgot to put extra caramel in both the drinks. He said for the EXTRA caramel which HE forgot, he now has to charge me a petty 60 cents each ! I handed the drinks however I smelled the odor again and came to the conclusion that it was Fred with the disgusting body odor. I asked Emma what his name was because he didn't have a name tag and two he was very rude and charged me for something he forgot! Fred lacked courtesy and lack of customer service. Never had I needed to pay extra and neither was I notified of this charge before for extra caramel when I ordered before! So as common courtesy, Starbucks employees should reiterate what a customer wants and also state that is a charge for extras. read more

Love the location and all except one girl working there the staff is very friendly. To the girl with the long blonde hair - the first two times I just ignored your crappy attitude. Now that you've been there for a little while.....you still refuse to be friendly or even courteous. Your co-workers seemed to have figured it out. The store does seem to run out of items a lot. Awesome place to plop down and get some work done with fantastic, free wi-fi. Sitting here right now - there are about 15 seats/tables in the main area, each with their own power plug. The internet is blazing fast (just did a speed test and I'm getting 23 MBPS...that's with about 10 other people in here all on their computers). If I could give it zero stars I would. The absolute slowest Starbucks I have ever been too! I have been to Starbucks locations across the entire US. I have given this store a couple chances to improve and every. Single. Time I come in they are dead with zero customers waiting on drinks and yet I wait OVER 10 minutes for my drink every time. I'm in retail Management and a VERY patient person but when they have no motivation to do their jobs it is unacceptable. I'm sure that this Starbucks sales have went down because of this! I am also not the only customer that has made a comment about it. Something needs to change about this location! ASAP! And then to tell the other barista to just add 1 more pump to a drink and add heavy cream to it instead of just making sweet cream is not okay. changed my review because twice at this location have gotten talked out of a pour over 30+ min prior to closing, store was quiet, with no one ahead of me or behind me in line, one cashier , one barista behind counter. I usually do order the espresso drinks but occasionally just want plain coffee (but not pikes) . Fairmont store no problem ever, safeway linda mar in-store starbucks no problem even if they were busy. We ordered other stuff that time but I should be able to get the thing I wanted to get and getting talked out of it twice at this location is weak (other time was earlier this year, diff person) . Sure, this is a 'first world problem' to be sure, but it isn't like what I was wanting is really all that difficult to either make or clean up. The customer shouldn't be made to feel like they are being a pain because the littlest extra effort might have to be expended. Put coffee in filter, put filter in plastic holder, pour hot water over coffee, let drip into cup. Give cup to customer. Dump out used filter. Rinse plastic thing. Done. Come on guys, you can do better. This is what I got from corporate : "My apologies for the fact that our staff talked you out of ordering a pour over for something easier to make prior to closing time. I can emphasize with your frustration. I will forward your concerns to the Store Manager to be addressed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Has anybody else noticed the garbage from Starbucks overflowing into our streets? they removed the outdoor garbage can and instead of bringing it in at night when they lock the door. so therefore all day long people are leaving their trash on the patio tables which is now blowing into our street. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Yes, it is nice inside but it is new. Stock is on the low side but really, what do we come for? Drinks, right? So this past weekend, a weirdish hot day in Pacifica, out running errands and pop in for my go to green tea iced tea 2 pump. I get my drink, looks like tinted water. I tell him "ummm this doesn't look quite right." He offered to make another. His manager (I think) yells from the other side of the store what is going on. He walks over to her and tells her. (Shouldn't the manager be walking over to him?) Anyway he makes another iced tea for me and it is still tinted water. I taste it...taste like water...he then offers to brew a new batch for me if I want to wait 30 minutes. I decline. What other tea can you make as iced tea? He makes a black tea iced tea. This time the color looks like tea but it doesn't taste like tea. I leave it. I don't know what they are doing there but something isn't right. That was just the iced tea. You can imagine the story behind my boyfriends' double blended frap! Safeway store may be slower but at least you get the product in the cup! read more
