This is my go-to SB and studying place. Whenever I need to unwind and just browse on internet for some slight research or notes taking, i come here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Big spaces, well lighted, and good parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love it here.

    Brown sugar oat espresso

Hi , Just went to this Starbucks on Hill and Walnut. I had gotten a drink , for Teacher appreciation week ( from the parents ) but i don't get to work til 2 pm. It did not taste like it should !!! It was the Oat Brown sugar espresso. I have had it once before , it was yum. Anyway , i am picky w my drinks becuz i don't like lots of ice or really any ice. It waters down the drink !!! So when i went tonite to see if they can remake it , she was nice and said sure. But she showed me how much ice they usually use for that drink , she filled it completely w ice !!! I said , no way , then u really get no drink at all ( she said the hot espresso melts some ice ) but still that is crazy to me , becuz no one wants to pay just for a big cup of ice !!! ( and that's what u basically are getting ) anyway , she dumped almost all out , and made it. I asked for extra shots of espresso and lots of brown sugar and extra cinnamon too. It came out perfect !!!! It tasted like i think it should. She explained a few times that she can do no ice , but it mite be all milk then. I just kept saying , as long as u add extra brown sugar and cinnamon it will taste good. I forgot to get her name , but she was nice. After i went to my car , and took two sips , i went back in and told her it was perfect. :)

Used to go the location across from this one, but now they've moved into the spot where my beloved Tommy's Burgers used to be. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a larger footprint than it's previous location, but inside it's not much bigger - except now they've got a drive-through.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, that just means double the orders and, unfortunately, double the wait it it seems. Staff look like they're in a panicked rush to keep up, so it's not exactly the best place to chill and relax. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's a lot of seating outside, though, and plenty of parking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is friendly, however, and they do their best to manage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is pretty clean so far, so let's hope it stays that way![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Pumpkin Spice Latte

I went in at 11:28 am and ordered an iced pumpkin spice latte. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can sometimes be hard for the baristas to hear me. Today, I figured out it's the sound of the cars and air conditioning, which makes so much sense why speaking up is more important in a drive through.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The barista, Alan, had trouble hearing my order & allergies, so I went up to the window. Alan is extremely kind and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience despite the difficulties hearing me. I understand now how to communicate better at the drive thru. I have severe nut allergies and the barista, Rocky, made sure to tell me about cross contamination, which is very thorough. They took care with my order and the barista, Liz, made sure to safely make my drink and even put a cute flower on top! I'll be back!

The Build: I ordered the banana cream matcha, which features a rich matcha base with standard oat milk, topped with a heavenly layer of banana cream and tiny, mysterious crunchy pieces. The Flavor Profile: Taste-wise, the drink was absolutely heavenly. The matcha itself was wonderfully rich, and mixing in the banana cream took it to the next level, while the crunchy toppings added a really nice occasional texture. The only real letdown was the size, the cup was just so tiny for an $8 price tag. Even though the flavors were incredible, it felt a bit hard to justify the steep cost for such a small portion. The Verdict: While the major price tag means this won't be an everyday habit, the solid flavors and super fast, friendly service make it a perfect spot for a little treat every once in a while. The staff had my drink out almost instantly around 10 AM on a Tuesday, and since I live so close, I'll definitely be back occasionally when I want to spoil myself.

We got the mango matcha rain, banana cream matcha, and banana latte. For $7-8 per drink, you get a very SMALL sized cup, I believe it's a 12 oz. Although oat milk is the standard for the matcha drinks, the price for such a small cup was not worth it. For the drinks itself, not sure what kind of matcha powder they are using but it doesn't seem to be grade quality. The banana latte also tasted like milk. Interior wise, plenty of tables & seating. Great for a study spot with ample street parking. Overall, for the price, quality, and sizes, I unfortunately will not be returning.

On this weekday I came for the Jasmine Milk Tea. Last time this was under the Tea Latte section, but they menu changed and there is now a dedicated Milk Tea section. And also there is a Jasmine Latte with Espresso in it, but that is under the Espresso section. I was able to get it chilled but without ice. The lowest sweetness level was 50%, but I asked nicely and they estimated they could make a 25% for me. It turned out wonderfully, extremely floral, barely any sweetness so the Jasmine aroma and taste were the dominant ones. In the food side I selected the popcorn chicken. I can take some heat but only a small bit, so I asked for the spice powder in the side. I just looove the texture of the popcorn chicken. You can see in the picture that it's a very thin breading, almost not there, but the texture seems almost as if an invisible rice flour was tossed in the outside. Still juicy in the inside, and small pieces to make every bite pop-able. The chicken comes with a ranch sauce, though to me it's a second thought. Add a hint of spice or even have the chicken as is, no ranch is needed.

The times I've been I've had the Matcha tonic, Iced Mocha and Gui Hua Latte (only comes hot). The Gui Hua latte solidified why this place is so hyped and deservingly so. The drinks are handcrafted, well made and have a unique flavor profile to them. My wife also ordered an iced Vienna Latte and that one is really good as well. The iced Matcha tonic is refreshing as it comes with a yuzu hit. We recently had the spinach croissant as well and we enjoyed it. Sometimes they carry @crumbsandflakesla pastries and those are to die for. The surrounding area near Mandarin coffee stand is also pretty unique it takes the vibe of alleys in London. There's no bar or table seating inside the coffee stand itself and they only allow a few people in at a time. Make sure to get here early or you could be waiting 20 minutes just to order. This place does live up to the hype and I'd say is one of the top 5, maybe even top 3 coffee spots in Pasadena.
