Starbucks with a drive-thru at the Summit Mall!
Brian Julian Z.

Finally a Starbucks at the Summit Mall that has a drive-thru! Unfortunately they close the same time as the other Starbucks right next to Yoga Pod. Hopefully once everybody finds out that they're open, maybe this will be the hangout and study spot. Can't wait till I visit them when they're open!

This Reno Starbucks is excellent all around, easily one of the best-run, friendliest locations I've visited. It's a very convenient spot with plenty of comfortable seating and a great, relaxed vibe, but the staff is what truly makes it special. I want to give a huge shout-out to the young woman at the counter with the cool, clear-framed glasses. My mobile order was ready and correct the second I arrived, but she went above and beyond by giving me some much-needed advice for driving in the snow. As someone who doesn't usually drive in winter conditions, I really appreciated her being so professional and genuinely helpful.

So annoyed when I get a cup 25% empty. Maybe that's why I didn't get a sleeve either, since there wasn't enough coffee inside to be too hot to hold??

Same consistent Starbucks service and quality as most Starbucks visited throughout the Northern Nevada area. This one was pretty crowded on a Sunday with a line to order. Nice place to chill when you want to get away, sip and relax. I am on a pursuit to find a bold, flavorful coffee, but I prefer local roasted to franchised brands. Located in the Summit Sierra, perfect place for shoppers to take a break. Got the ham and cheese croissant which was a small bite. Looked like an overpriced Pillsbury crescent roll with ham and cheese.

What wonderful and happy baristas. Not much more to say because well, it's Starbucks. The store is clean and large. There is ample parking. This Starbucks is located in the Summit Mall. It always seems to have a lot of people. Baristas always seem to have a smile on their faces. I often forget to check in here.

Come only if you're prepared to wait 30 minutes for one drink (refresher, don't even need to brew). Drink tasted like hot pink sugar water.

This is my favourite coffee shop in Reno; everything about this place is phenomenal!…read more Service: The staff is so warm and welcoming, eager to help you out if you have any questions on the menu. They really let their knowledge and personality shine through, making the experience from the second you walk in through the door. I've been here a few times and no matter the employee, they know their stuff (especially the guy who says he's an expert [I believe it!]). Ambience: As anyone else, I value cleanliness in a shop. Their surfaces are all maintained to a nice cleanliness: workers are keeping customer spaces clean, they wipe their counters frequently. The redolence of coffee is wonderful. Food & Drink: Each time I come here, I grab a seasonal drink and their blueberry cream cheese danish. Now, I am a person quite picky with coffee: there needs to be a balance if there are extra flavours present in the drink, and this shop nails it. I ordered their orange cardamom (I forgot the name!) latte, and it is one of the most favorite drinks I've historically tried. I definitely need to grab a bag of their medium roasts next time to take these profiles home.

So sorry, limited pictures as I did not want to take up her time for Yelp, lol. Got a small coffee, it was VERY small. It did NOT even seem like an 8 oz cup?!?! But she filled it to the rim! So I drank it black, lol. My second cup today, so I only wanted a small. Very limited pastries at 2pm, see picture. So I decided to skip it. Ambiance - Beautiful location. Good size. Plenty of seating. Plenty of mall parking, mid day, in between meal times. And too early to go to Zephyr's wine bar, lol. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 4pm. Service - Counter service. The customer in front of me took forever; she was very confused, it was probably her first time here also... No fault of the employee. The employee was nice, acknowledged me, apologized for the wait, and said bye to us as we were leaving. Price - $4, expensive, but that is the cost for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2023 and with your other two locations. My other buddy is a regular customer.

Just go there in the nice summer weather and pick up a pint or a cup to eat there. Outside has plenty more seating than inside, but I do het that the winter months people prefer to be inside. Overall high quality ice cream. So many flavors. I think I have tried 20 percent of them. Staff members are the sweetest and get your ice cream promptly to you. The kings may seem intimidating, but they aren't. You go in and out within 10 to 15 minutes. Depends more on the line and how long you order.

The service here is pretty fast. As soon as we ordered, our ice creams were assembled in the back and brought to us. I opted for the dark-chocolate-raspberry with vanilla on a peanut-dark-chocolate cone. It was delicious but too much to finish after a big meal. One of my friends had the dairy-free coffee ice cream and said it wasn't very flavorful. His wife tasted it and agreed. We originally planned to eat outside because it is very noisy inside between the hard floors, music, and kids, but it was raining a little and too hot, so we went back inside to wait out the rain. There was plenty of seating but it was REALLY hard to hear anything anyone was saying because of the noise level. Great spot, excellent speedy service. Don't forget napkins, though! You'll need more than you think.

Can't believe I've never reviewed the incredible Perenn at Rancharrah…read more Perenn is known for being an upscale and expensive boutique bakery, but they are worth it and truly the best. I love all of the pastries at Perenn, but the chocolate bouchons are truly exceptional, and if you want to splurge, the grab-and-go freezer is great, too. My wife is also a huge fan of their matcha. Specifically, they do a coconut cloud matcha, which is a base of lightly sweetened coconut water topped with a matcha foam. It's perfectly sweet and incredibly refreshing on a warm day. The ambiance here is perfectly upscale and accessible. The decor is very chic, and their outdoor patio space is very nice. The service is always great, and though there can be a huge line, it often moves quickly. My only wish for Perenn would be that I could visit more often! While they have expanded, more locations and lower pricing could make them a truly exceptional stand-out bakery with accessibility for all.

As a longtime Reno customer I've watched them grow from a single location into a multi-state restaurant group with six locations across Nevada and Tennessee -- and that growth is well deserved. That said I do want to share one honest observation. On top of premium pricing, which I'm happy to pay for quality, Perenn also charges subscribers for their Substack newsletter. For an independent bakery scraping by, that makes complete sense. For a thriving six-location restaurant group with real momentum and expansion capital, it feels like a bridge too far. The brand story and the people behind it are genuinely compelling, that content should be how you invite customers deeper into your world, not an additional revenue line. The food earns five stars. The Substack paywall earns a raised eyebrow. Share your story freely, you've clearly earned the audience.
