(Not reading the other reviews before I write this) Okay 1.9 stars for a Starbucks is CRAZY. I can't wait to read these to understand how on earth that many people were wronged. First off, any time I order from Starbucks I really try to use the mobile app. I have a custom order- venti iced americano, with 1 pump white chocolate and 1 pump pistachio (or some other special flavor). In theory it's not a complicated drink to make, but it's long to say so I get how it could be easily mixed up. I also this time ordered a ham and Swiss sandwich- MY FAVORITE! I think I waited about 10 minutes but it was pretty busy so the wait didn't seem unreasonable. A minor hiccup that they marked that the drink was ready to be picked up, but it was probably 2 minutes later that they actually set it out. Not at all a big deal. Drink tasted exactly how I expected it to, syrups were well mixed in and it wasn't watered down. Some Starbucks overdo it on the water and not enough ice, but this was fine! I'd generally say that most airport Starbucks just have a trash layout for waiting, but I think that's a product of the limited space in an airport and not fully on the Starbucks itself (and patrons just standing all over the place unaware of their surroundings) read more

Before a flight out we stopped at the airport Starbucks for a little pick me up. I understand it is an airport and expectations can be different, but this experience was rough. Ambiance: 3 / 10 It is an airport Starbucks, so there is only so much they can do. The big green Starbucks Coffee sign is enough to pull you in, especially if you are running on travel fumes, but beyond that it is pretty basic and crowded. Service: 1 / 10 There were only two baristas and a very long line. I can absolutely understand being short staffed. What frustrated me was the pace. There was no sense of urgency at all. I watched my food come out of the oven and just sit there while other tasks were slowly handled first. No hustle, no acknowledgment, no real customer service. When you are at an airport and people have flights to catch, that kind of energy is not it. Food: 6 / 10 I ordered a chai latte with caramel and it was actually really good. If the service had been better, I probably would have rated it higher just based on taste. I also grabbed a warmed cranberry bar. Flavor wise it was decent, but it came out more lukewarm than warm. Glad I tried it, but I would skip it next time. Starbucks will always be convenient at an airport, but this visit definitely left a sour taste that had nothing to do with the chai. read more

Very decent for an airport! About the same level as Kroger and most local locations, I found a bright and well setup tidy spot with a bustling crew. They were friendly and quickly got me a breakfast wrap and soon later an ube macchiato. Bummer the ube is gone already!? Starbucks has become garbage at keeping around any good drinks, Elphaba cold brew gone too soon too! I was done with the corporate frauds who parade social qualities while avoiding taxes and unions however when there's a gift card handed to me and quick caffeine fix needed.... Guess it'll have to do! read more

The day we went to this location was absolutely insane. The line was at least 25 people deep. I decided to use the app and order our food and drinks. That was not the best decision. They were 20-25 minutes behind on mobile order. This is not the fault of the employees as they appeared to be short staffed. The food was decent when it arrived and the coffee was decent. My biggest concern was that the had a lack of order behind the counter. I will definitely give them a try again as I much prefer them to the other spot in the terminal. read more

The key to this Starbucks is ordering ahead of time on the app. You do have to use a gift card to order ahead on the app for this location, not sure why. I had the best pumpkin spice latte ever at this location! The girl making the drinks also stared calling out names and if the person wasn't in the store she moved ahead to those already waiting in the store, I thought that was a clever pivot since it was a crazy busy Friday. Don't be the person who orders with only 5 minutes before your flight. It slows down the barista when they have to stop and answer the question, "how much longer for my drink?". The food does come out fast when you order ahead on the app, drinks will need a little more time. read more

The main reason I'm leaving this review is for management to know they were blasting extremely inappropriate music. Playing "or nah" by The Weeknd at what seems like full volume while you have multiple little kids in line and waiting for orders with their parents and you have 5 people working but doing almost nothing is ridiculous. They were all talking to each other and laughing behind the counter, cursing and ignoring customers. There was probably 8 people in line. They dropped my drink and didn't remake it til I asked and was like guys this is not ok the play with little kids in your shop and they were like haha oops yeah and changed it to "somebody come get her she dancin like a stripper" at least that was slightly better. I've been here for 20 mins and haven't even been able to order even online then when I walked over they said they aren't capable of making any orders at all. Flew out on a Saturday for work. Noticed the line was unusually short so I decided to get coffee. Got to the cashier quick and placed my order. Cashier was very pleasant and super friendly. The wait for my order took a bit longer even with 2-3 people filling orders. Watching people grab their orders, it didn't seem like the 2 people making orders were super friendly. Not sure why. I have my pricey coffee and expect the friendly service that built Starbucks. Love Starbucks but gonna try the other place next time. read more

Not the best in service. Slow with getting orders churned out and I totally get why. It isn't much about the staffing shortage (there were two cashiers and four baristas) but somewhat to to with what people order. If folks kept it simple, the line to pick up wouldn't be such a hassle. Many people had to leave their venti, non fat, extra whip, mocha drizzle with caramel BS or miss boarding their flight. I rarely write reviews but this needed to happen. To the two young women working the front solo while your managers were being lazy doing tedious tasks (that should have been done before it opened, does it really take 3 of you to tape on a sign for pickup) watching while these two girls were struggling and an incredible long line out the door. Not one time in the +20 min I was there did they jump in to help them. When I said why aren't you helping these poor girls. I got rudeness and back talk from the manager and the woman with her (again must be nice to chit chat while those younger than you are grinding away). After I said you really should help those poor girls, multiple patrons came up and said thank you saying something, as well did one of the young girls who worked there. Something tells me this abuse of power behavior is common here. It is truly sad that a manager will not just see her employees struggling and jump into help them or send the girl she was chatting with to go help verse doing a tedious job that is a one person. No one was impressed with their behavior. We all saw you two hiding in the back or talking. To the girls working, kudos to you under pressure with no help from those who should have been by your side at an incredibly busy time. 5 stars for you ladies, your manager set you up for the stress you had to deal with alone. 7:00am on 8/28. read more

I agree!! This is the worst Starbucks ever!! They are so slow, many times having to wait 20-30 minutes for a simple latte. Today there wasn't anyone in line at the counter, just on line orders waiting, and I waited 15 minutes. Ten minutes longer than the app said my order would be ready. Employees are not friendly with customers, only with each other. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but the app doesn't let you and since I'm at this airport frequently, I hope someone takes notice and works to fix the problem. read more

Just experienced the worst Starbucks service EVER. I'm used to waiting for a short period at the Sacramento Airport Starbucks. But today was just BAD. There were 4 workers and none of them gave good, let alone decent service. The young lady at the register was a new employee in training and the 2 employees making the drinks moved at a snails pace. No, seriously... they were SLOOOOW! As I watched all of the customers faces, I saw everyone had "you've gotta be kidding?" expressions. I watched customers stand in the slow moving line to order only to be told thar they weren't taking cash payments. Would leave zero stars if I could. Opened 30 minutes late, rude staff, and the store hours on the app show 5:30 when the physical store opens at 4:30 am. This discrepancy prevents the customer from using the app to place a mobile order because the app thinks the store is closed. Even worse was that the store employee placed the huge mobile app stand out front Knowing that it doesn't work between 4:30 and 5:30 am. This location needs a staff overhaul, worst ever. I'm definitely torn between 2 or 3 stars so let's just call it 2.5! I'm not gonna lie, the service sucks. Lines are always long and even when there's not a horrible line, the drinks still take forever to get to the bar. I even waited in a line with only 3 people and it took almost 20minutes just to order, no exaggeration, I timed it! Plus side is the drinks are consistently good for me. I mean I basically get espresso or iced coffee and there isn't much room for error when making those drinks. Tips for a pleasant experience is to come around 6-7am or 7pm-close, when lines aren't out the store. The in between times are hit or misses. Also this location (like other stores in this terminal) close early like at or around 9pm. read more

No. No amount of exhaustion, caffeine withdrawal or corporate brainwashing could convince me to wait in the endlessly endless line that emanates from this, the only coffee shop inside this terminal. It's bad enough that there are so few coffee locations at SMF considering it is obviously the most popular product among travelers. Time and again I have arrived for an early morning flight with the naive intention of grabbing a last-minute cup of joe before boarding the plane and instead skipping it because there is a long line outside. The couple times I have gotten in line have been unsatisfactory: my last visit resulted in no more bistro boxes and a luke-warm chai tea from a grumpy barista. read more
