I love Starbucks and really not liking yo have to give a bad review. This particular Starbucks location at the Sacramento Airport Terminal B is by far the worst and if you can go to the Starbucks in Terminal A way better. Every time, I order here the customer service is terrible and the cashier is always rushing you. The inside is not different than any other Starbucks. There is no seats or tables in the Terminal B location, but Terminal A is a different story. This location always makes the drink wrong , missing ingredients or just makes the drink out right sloppy and then have the audacity to have an attitude when you ask them to remake the drink. I try to avoid this location when possible, but sometimes it unavoidable. I wish there were another coffee shop by the gates. :( read more

This was one of the few spots to get coffee today as many of the other restaurants are under construction. My wife and I were craving some caffeine and Starbucks rarely lets us down. We both get simple black coffee. The line was short and moved at a decent pace. The employee at the counter was neither happy nor rude, but rather indifferent. I decided to try the grilled cheese on sourdough and I am very glad I did. It was delicious. The perfect amount of cheese and the bread was outstanding. I will get it again for sure. Now these things are never meant to be about the staff unless they are, most cases it's not as they're put in a really bad position by upper management as is the case here. Why would you take mobile orders at an airport Starbucks when it's probably slammed to begin with all day & night? Every customer there looked irritated. You simply don't have the staff or equipment to fill orders at the level an airport location demands. This Starbucks, right next to Gate B16 at Sacramento Airport, is my usual stop whenever I'm flying out. It's reliable in the sense that it's always there--but not always consistent in how it operates. The line is almost always long, which I guess is expected for an airport location, but it's clear they're rarely staffed to handle the rush. That said, the baristas I've interacted with have always been friendly and doing their best under pressure. Ordering can be hit or miss. Sometimes you can mobile order ahead, sometimes you can't. And then there are times when you have to order through the app, which isn't great for folks without it. Definitely not the most convenient system for non-regulars. I am submitting this feedback for corporate review due to an extremely poor customer service experience at this location. This store is clearly not staffed or managed to handle the volume expected in an airport environment while simultaneously accepting mobile and walk-in orders. The lack of adequate staffing directly impacts order accuracy, service quality, and customer treatment. During my visit, I was given the wrong drink. When I attempted to get the barista's attention and calmly explained that the drink provided was not a matcha, her response was dismissive and abrupt. She stated, "Well, do you want a matcha? I can redo it," and before I could respond, she cut me off and said, "Yes or no?" This interaction was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Because of the incorrect order and the manner in which I was treated, I requested a refund. Even then, I was asked twice if I was sure I did not want my drink, despite already having received the wrong item and experiencing disrespectful service from both the barista and the cashier. At no point was there an apology, accountability, or attempt to de-escalate the situation. This location requires immediate management attention. Either staffing levels must be increased to meet airport demand, or operational changes must be made to prevent the simultaneous handling of mobile and walk-in orders if the team cannot do so professionally and accurately. Most importantly, staff should be trained to communicate respectfully with customers, regardless of how busy the store may be. This experience was unacceptable and far below the service standards Starbucks represents. read more

What a sad and miserable experience. I have been to other airport Starbucks that are just as busy where the employees still at least looked at you. Here, they seemed to all hate their jobs, avoided eye contact, and then were even exasperated when I asked for a fork that they failed to include with my egg bite order. read more

The store is very conveniently located between several of the big gates at the Sacramento airport. It's always great to be able to grab a coffee either before your flight or in between one and the other. The only problem is, these people take forever to make your order. The worst thing that I think an employee could've done besides be rude to the customer is to wave over their supervisor to come over and talk to them while they're trying to help you. What the cashier did was she took my order, and midway through it she made me wait on her because she wanted to tell her supervisor that she wanted to take her 10 minute break. That's fine and Dandi. I understand that you need to and are entitled to taking your breaks, but I feel like you could've done that in a much Better manner. You could've picked a more appropriate time. But the other thing, the line was out the door and stretching around the corner. I would say that you should let somebody know that you need to take your break, but at the same time I think you should be mindful of the fact there are a lot of people waiting to place orders. Things like this happen. It'd be nicer if your attitude were more happy, friendly, helpful and inviting. read more

If I could give it no stars I would. I ordered an iced green tea matcha latte, unaware of a new "recipe change." When I politely asked if the drink could be remade to accommodate my preference, the staff member I interacted with was incredibly rude. She questioned why I wanted the drink remade and asked what was wrong with it, all while having an attitude. I wasn't aware of matcha's new recipe no longer including sweetener. She suggested that I should have known about the change. Honestly, I get that things change, but the way you treat and talk to people shouldn't be like this. It was unacceptable and unnecessary. It's great that Terminal B has a Starbucks--familiar menu, solid coffee, and the convenience travelers look for. But the service here is painfully slow. Even with a mobile order, be prepared to wait far longer than should reasonably be expected (or tolerated). "Working slow" is "working easy." The staff don't seem to be in a hurry, even when the line is backed up and customers are clearly frustrated. If you're in a rush or have a tight connection, skip it... Starbucks quality-ish meets airport inefficiency. read more

On my last trip to Seattle, both of my outbound and inbound Southwest flights had a layover at Sacramento Airport. It's located next to gate B16. On the outbound flight, I was able to skip the line and place my order on the mobile app. I got a grande blonde vanilla latte. However on the inbound flight heading home, they had turned off the ability to place orders on the app. Since they looked busy, I decided to skip the coffee. Service wasn't as good as it should as this location was slammed with customers. My drink was on par for a Starbucks espresso drink. read more

When we visited their was only 1 woman working and she looked overwhelmed, but got orders out pretty quickly, despite the espresso machine not working. We were waiting today behind about 5 other customers, took over 30 minutes for us to get to the front of line at the register. As we were preparing to order, a worker told us they are no longer taking orders because one of their workers clocked out. No heads up to any of the people in line that they would be closing the cafe. Just basically "you just waited in line for 30 minutes but we are not going to serve you". Clearly they were aware a worker would be clocking out, they should have found a way to give everyone in line a heads up rather than just sending 10+ customers away no warning. Starbucks is regularly overpriced, but an airport Starbucks? Just add like $2 to the normal prices. I usually know better than to grab coffee or beverages at an airport due to the prices but I needed a caffeine kick to get me through travel and work I was doing. I ordered a Grande Iced White Chocolate Mocha (~$6) with light ice. This is my go-to drink when I need caffeine and a good tasting drink! It took less than 10 minutes to get my order but still longer than I usual Starbucks. The Iced White Chocolate Mocha was creamy, sweet, and refreshing. It definitely gave me that kick I needed and because it was so good, I drank it super fast! Despite the price hike at this Starbucks, I'm glad the quality and quantity of the drinks are still just as good! If you need your coffee/tea fix while waiting for a flight, Starbucks is definitely a reliable option. read more
