Most unprofessional Starbucks I have ever seen. My wife ordered her drink, the boy worker asked her if she'd like anything else and she said a grilled cheese sandwich (for our son). They made two drinks and no sandwich. When my wife said that wasn't what she order, the RUDE woman manager pulled out the receipt from what the boy put in and said my wife was wrong - she order two drinks. This Starbucks location is a must to all parents heading into the San Antonio Zoo! This Starbucks location is located right across from the zoo, in the same area as their free parking lot and the ticketing area for the train. I like that they open before the zoo, so I usually get here early to grab a free parking spot and then head into the starbucks for some coffee. The staff here is always very welcoming and helpful. They can get pretty busy but are very quick to get orders out. I also like that this location has a zoo theme to it, which gets kids excited. Overall, I've always had a great experience at this Starbucks and would definitely recommend to all parents out there! read more

The best matcha latte from a Starbucks I've had Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! We stopped in at this location after an afternoon at the zoo just across the street. This location is normally pretty busy but they've always been on top of orders with five or six baristas always working. The café itself itself has giant windows so you can see the zoo and part of the train station outside, but with the large roof provides ample shade so you never have to worry about the sun making things hot inside. The mural of exotic animals on the wall closest to the register is absolutely beautiful, the bar window is always festively or seasonally decorated, and the café as a whole is pretty clean, though the seating area and pickup counter can get a little messy when things are extra packed. This time around my fiancé and I ordered two Iced Matcha Lattes, one with Oat Milk, and they were easily the tastiest Starbucks matcha beverages we've had. Simply put, the craftsmanship on these drinks were phenomenal. Though the matcha Starbucks uses isn't the highest grade matcha out there, the barista who made our Lattes made it count in every way possible. I'd definitely recommend this location because they have always gotten our order correct, we've never had a bad experience with them, and they are fast and efficient. read more

This Starbucks is clean, friendly, and has some really cool drinks that other Starbucks don't have. It's right across the street from the zoo so super convenient and they have a super clean bathroom. Our order was messed up and instead of being rude, flustered, or making us feel weird, they joked about the situation and we got some "spooky" free drinks. I'm not sure why this place is still open or have the Starbucks logo but do better!!! service was not good at all and before any mention shirt staff and busy and pandemic, I promise you that is not the case. I ordered a grande medium blonde roast with a splash of almond milk and brown sugar. Let's start from the cashier, well she totally ignored me and yelled at another employee who was on break, (I guess because they were sitting down in the customer area chilling) so there's that. Then I ordered and was never asked hot or cold or anything. And then come to find it was not brewed coffee which was never explained in the beginning. This was yesterday Nov 17th around 12:30. Let's start with the Cashier. She was kinda snippy with her responses during our order. I don't expect a cheerleader, but maybe someone that didn't act like we were bothering her for putting an order in and less coldness. I don't remember her name, but she was a little on the thick side compared to her coworkers. I'm sure you could narrow it down. I ordered a pumpkin frap and a vanilla sweet cream nitro cold brew and 2 croissants heated up after this other guys in line. They weren't busy and yet took an unnecessary amount of time to fulfill our orders, but I guess that's what you get when one out of the five is working. They had five workers and was having this one guy make the drinks by himself while the rest either played on their phone or goofed off and gossiped. There was one girl with glasses that sat on her phone the entire time and never even looked up or helped. The gentleman was nice, but he made my drink wrong twice in a row. This was taking too much time and after him messing it up twice I figured he didn't know what he was doing. I don't even work there and I was about to ask if I could just make it. The guy approached the thick girl from the cash register and told her that I told him this was wrong and she rolled her eyes and told him to just make it again. I watch him do the exact same thing he did for the last drink that he messed up. Not only was it made wrong, but it tasted like coffee that's been cooking since early that morning and burning in the pot. I over heard that they forgot parts of the other guys order. So I'm waiting waiting waiting and usually the croissants are done before the drinks and the cashier says what are you waiting for? And I said the croissants you're supposed to be giving me. She says oh you still want those heated up? I'm getting irritated at this point and tell her yes. My boyfriend comes in realizing I've been in here way too long and asked what's going on and I'm like just waiting for the rest of my order. Any way you need a whole new staff. This is a disappointment and waste of money for expensive crap coffee. read more

We are visiting from Houston and since we are staying at a hotel we decided to order Starbucks via Grubhub. Our delivery time went from 8:55 to 9:50 on a Sunday morning. That may be on Grubhub who knows. We were a bit frustrated but we didn't have much choice but to wait it out at that point. When we finally received our order IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER!! My wife ordered white chocolate mocha and it tasted like just normal Folgers coffee. I ordered caffe mocha and it tasted so bland. I've never had such a bad experience at a Starbucks.
