I really can't figure out these low reviews. It's a Starbucks, for god's sakes. I've always had a good experience here, going back to the days when the Air Force still had a presence at Brooks. When I worked on this side of town, I'd stop in for an occasional coffee or green tea. Never had a problem then, and still don't. The staff has always been pleasant and the service has been quick. Perhaps an"I'd like" instead of a "Gimme a" would soften the experience. And a "please" and "thank you" go a long way to having the person behind the counter afford you the respect you desire. Just remember, it's coffee that you pay more than some people make in a week. Lighten up and enjoy your coffee concoction of the season. read more

Has anyone seen that new article on how Starbucks is cutting labor hours at every store nation wide? For what goes on at the store I'm surprised it's doing as well as it is. you may think it takes forever. Which it may take a while but you figure. What?, They have 3-7 scheduled depending on how the company and algorithm decides and time of day? Heck, on Saturday I was in there and cafe had a line outside the door, drive thru same thing. But what should you or do you expect on a Saturday. Night. They can only make so many drinks and take so many orders at one time. So basically, You are waiting that long because everyday there is a line (not because they are slow). But because the store is ACTUALLY that busy.. this is one of the top stores in sales in the district. South side, who knew. that person in front of you (which you ordered one coffee), just ordered 6 drinks for them and their co workers. Not to mention the amount of caffeine some people need in their systems. Like 8 shots which if you know espresso takes time to pull so it tastes good. It goes bad, you do know that right? It happens, each person is different and that's totally Cool. But not everyone has super quick one order drinks. I've even heard people say cappuccino instead of frappuccino and the barista even repeats it back and the customer gets upset because it wrong so the barista is wrong for making it wrong. Make sense?? So for them having as much customers as they do, I think they do a fairy good job. Maybe the customer service needs some working on, but do you have good days, everyday? Even as a customer going in there and chatting with them, getting to know them might turn their day around like it does yours. Not making any excuses for the store or baristas. When I heard they were finally building a Starbucks on the the southeast side at City base, I was super excited as I love the locations near SAC on San Pedro and McCullough. You'd think because of the City base location, the owners would work with the staff on good customer service and prompt efficient coffee and snacks, but they are either never stocked like the other locations, or they are super slow, and I mean really slow, or the staff is rude and never polite. I wish Starbucks would open another store by McCreless and maybe improve service with a competitive store. Slow service line is always backed up forever. I ordered online on way to church this morning and it gave me the option for in store pick up. Since I know that would be faster I chose that. I get to the store and it's locked for dining inside. I called and asked if they could bring my order to the door. (This is how they were running during peak pandemic) she told me no I could go through drive through. Of course line is out around building and we are on the way to church and don't have that time. I told her no I wanted a refund and she told me I would have to come back at a later time for the refund through the drive through. This is such an inconvenience. My coworkers and I frequent this Starbucks on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day. They almost always get our screwy order correct. We are not an easy order kind of bunch, no simple coffee's for us it is all about the specialty drinks and lots of them. We generally order 3 to 6 drinks at a time. The baristas are always in a friendly mood and they never complain or make us feel like we are causing them any trouble. I waited in the drive thru for 45 minutes. I had to yell "Hello?" at the order menu 4 times before I got a response "We are short staffed, be right with you." Ten minutes later I had to call again. The nice, newer store didn't make up for the poor customer service. One door locked. No greeting. Cashier had a nice long conversation with the woman in front of me then made her drink while the lady went to the bathroom- before she even acknowledged me. So I think that this location needs a re-model. Area is growing and so is the lines and wait times HOWEVER the whole crew is amazing! This is the SLOWEST Starbucks I have EVER been to in my entire life! It seriously took me an HOUR just for ONE regular White Chocolate Mocha. Maybe it was my fault for going inside the store but I like to see what cups they have for sell. This Starbucks is the worst I have ever been to. If it is busy you will be waiting 15 minutes easy. The other day I waited 25 minutes in line for my caramel frappe. The customer service is also disappointing and most of the time you're handed your drink with a "here". I have never had this type of experience at any other Starbucks location. It seems like they are always out of their food products, especially cake pops. I will say that the quality of my drink are usually up to par. Except the one time I had a mobile order and had to wait over 10 minutes for my drink in a line, by the time I got it most of it was melted. If it wasn't for the fact that I'd have to drive an extra 10 minutes to get to a different store I would definitely skip out on this one. read more

Starbucks has the best overpriced drinks you can find. IMO I think they need two more locations in this area that are NOT locked up in a Target. This location is always busy. I'm so glad someone with sense finally cut off the drive thru that would snake by James Avery. Now all that needs to be done is a big line drawn so the drive thru customers won't hog the whole lane so people can actually use the first row parking spots. I'm at this location quite a bit on the weekends, usually just through the drive thru, and I finally realized today that I haven't done a review for this Starbucks! Probably because every time I'm here, I'm so underwhelmed. For a corporate business, it's never clean, never organized, never well-stocked, never very friendly, and most importantly, the drinks are never made quite right. Today my caramel macchiato tasted thin and watery and there was barely any drizzle on top. It just seems like the employees at this one are careless, and it's certainly not because they get drinks out quick. They always have a line, and never seem to be able to handle the rush. Several times I've witnessed employees wandering aimlessly or not helping their counterparts out while watching them struggle. OK they are getting slower every week. Today I am already waiting for 15 minutes on my coffee and half of them are in the back chatting. I k ow Starbucks all over the country and overseas. I have never seen one that is that slow. I mean really they work like pound water and nothing is moving. They know that the nearest other Starbucks is downtown so they have a monopoly here. The girl at the register, heather was very sweet and patient...unfortunately the woman making the drinks ( only one woman making drinks) was slow...very slow. She seemed very unorganized and during my 35 minute wait I saw multiple customers complain about wrong drinks.
