If I could leave no stars I would. This used to be our company's go to. No longer. Since they have a new morning crew now, they suck at making orders. Nothing is ever correct. They never make the caramel machiattos correctly (forgetting caramel or vanilla pumps ) and forget the cream cheese to bagels when its paid for, or we order with no ice and the drinks have ice, etc. Because we send one person to get all of our mobile orders, we never know they are incorrect until they get back to the office, which is too late! Listen, this is a pricey habit. Every morning we order and drop at least 40 to 50 dollars a day. I've texted the complaint/feedback site and what they do is apologize for the inconvenience and credit our order for whatever was incorrect. But that is not fixing the issue that keeps occurring. This needs to be rectified. I will not be ordering from this store any longer. There is a drive through Starbucks opening up at pico and the 5 freeway base that I will be dropping my money at now. read more

I'll start by saying that I love Starbucks. They consistently make high quality and delicious drinks. The baristas are knowledgable and can handle a lot of different types if customers. What bothers me about this Starbucks is the parking and the seating arrangements. Neither are ideal. For some reason, no one can park straight. For a busy location, they have limited seating. I avoid this Starbucks as much as I can, more often than not they get my drink wrong, even if it's rung up correctly. The manager even made my drink today and it wasn't correct. In the past, I've had to ask for a remake for a drink, and one of the shift leads was quite rude to me, insisting I was wrong and fighting me about it instead of making the moment right and remaking the drink. They then gossiped and laughed about me, in front of me. Lots of bad experiences, which is really unfortunate because there are some partners at this store that are kind and do care, but many that don't. I wish I could go back to studying here during the week like I used to, but I'd honestly rather drive 15 min to the Starbucks I work at where I know I'll get good service and kindness. read more

Ordered 3 drinks. There were two people in front of me and a slow pace of 3-4 people that trickled in after me as I was waiting for my 3 drinks- a black coffee, a hot tea, and a cappuccino. Not difficult orders by any means, no special additions, no milk substitutes- just those drinks straight up. The black coffee came up first. The cappuccino came up a couple minutes after- it was more of a latte as there was way too much milk and not enough foam. Waited a few more minutes as they made a couple frappuccino's and flavored latte's- then I asked for the green tea and the 2 baristas had no idea what I was talking about. Had to let them know I paid for a hot green tea, they looked for the cup- couldn't find it. Girl at the counter who took my order was no help. Let's start with this, I LOVE STARBUCKS!! Now that's outta my system, we shall move on. I work in the medical center next to the building where this Starbucks is, so I'm a frequent customer. The staff is warm, welcoming and very attentive. Maybe I'm a bit biased when it comes to reviewing Starbucks, but so far I have never had any bad experience with them, and considering how many times I have been there, the possibility of them messing up my order is pretty high. I usually order online, and on their app they might say they have an item but you get there, and they won't have it or they will not have the stuff to make your drink. I have had to deal with this many times at this particular Starbucks. Today for instance, they didn't have any of my food. The lady at the register was named Darian or something and she was extremely rude. We sat waiting for our drinks for 25 minutes and finally the last said, "by the way your drinks are up." Not only did they not call our names, but they didn't ask what we were eating for even when we stood by the counter. This is an ok place to go for you typical Frappe! But I would much prefer something with a little more in it! It's fast food for coffee! The coffee is always too strong or sugary! If I were you I would go to a privately owned coffee shop!! You have a way better chance at getting somthing better. I love this Starbucks. I love the community vibe, the personality, the down-home goodness. These people have it down to a science. Everyone is perfectly placed; the cashiers are quick as is the drink maker. The lines are always expedited and everyone knows each customer by name. I have always loved stopping at this Starbuck as I travel from OC to Carlsbad. I always look forward to making my stop there to use the facilities and get a good cup of coffee... The people are always friendly and fun... Until last night. I stopped in, first use the bathroom, and then for a great cup of coffee... Well... things have changed... Must stand in line, buy a cup of coffee first, then get the security code to use the bathroom. I personally do not like to take my coffee to the bathroom, I am not just off the beach or the street...I am a professional and appear so. I wouldn't recommend coming in the afternoon, there is a girl who works here who isn't very friendly. The first 2 times I came in I just thought maybe she was having an off day but after the fourth time I just honestly think it's her personality not very friendly or welcoming at all. Today when I went in I ordered a brownie and all the places I've been they are very good at asking if I'd like it heated up. I ordered my stuff scanned my card and then she just walked away no thank you or we will have your order ready at the bar. Then she just threw my brownie on the counter and was very rude. No sense or urgency. I have gone in a few times since their remodel and there is an "older" staff working the 6am-9am time slot, where its mostly people grabbing their coffee as they are going to work. They have 2 cashiers but only 1 barista (coffee maker). It is never packed or super busy but yet it takes forever to get you 1 grande mocha. The lady today working "the machine" was smiling and chit chatting with people but at the expense of being quick & efficient. For overpriced coffee and coffee drinks its no longer worth my time & money to go here. The inside is nice and the staff is friend. Starbucks is Starbucks so I'll skip the coffee review and focus on atmosphere. The plus- Great people watching. All kinds of people-surfers, soccer moms, students, construction guys. The patio is great when its not too cold outside. Since it's close to the ocean, its rarely too hot to do so. The not so so plus- Parking lot has small spaces and they are limited as they are not just for Starbucks but several other shops as well. Lunch time is the worst part of the day to find a space here. Picture dueling SUV's and XL construction trucks. Tip-If you see a space on the street, take it instead of turning into the crowded parking lot. This place is always slow. It seems that service has gone down since they've introduced the mobile ordering. I waited 20 minutes for a coffee this morning. All I ordered was a grande misto. The people who were standing in line behind me got their drinks before I did. Complete lack of organization, and customer service has gone down the drain. I wish baristas were consistently good, but they're not. Drinks are blah in taste here (very berry hibiscus, cinnamon dolce latte) or way too coffee strong (skinny vanilla latte). They're S L O W to do anything, and the older cashier has attitude that comes off as rude. read more

The barista team at this Starbucks location are amazing! I am in love with the Salted Cream Cold Brew (mainly the salted cream, not so much the coffee ) I always ask for extra cream/foam and the employees here never hesitate to add extra. Ok, everyone knows Starbucks. I would simply add that this is an above average one. It's new, the barista's are kids, but seem to hold it together. They always give me the extra shot when I ask for three, and they are consistent. I recommend this one. On Starbucks coffee in general: It's not Dunkin Donuts or Keans, but it's quality. read more

I've been in Starbucks all over the country. This one has the nicest atmosphere, the cleanest seating area, and the most efficient and friendly staff I've ever seen. It is obvious that their manager works hard to make this a homey, yet customer-oriented store. I visit San Clemente quite often and I always make it a point to visit this Starbucks. Staff is friendly and does a great job getting your drink out. Some of the customers can be rude, I had a guy step on my foot and he never said, "Excuse me." The store is very clean, sometimes customers drop trash on the floor or leave straw wrappers on the bar; I guess they don't see the trash cans or expect the workers to constantly pick up after them. There is a barista that works here named Scott, and he makes this Starbucks as good as it is. If it wasn't for him, it wouldn't be that good. He always remembers your name, your drink, has it ready for you quick, and so nice and personable. A much valued part of Starbucks. Just giving a shout out to the guy Matt who was a 1 man show on drinks with 2 baristas taking orders and a line circling the store. Sure, the last drink I needed got back burnered a little but life happens. Watching him juggle the drinks was worth the wait. In a sea of young employees that don't give a crap to hustle a little, it was nice to see this little group being such a team. Couldn't see the bright blondes name tag but she was also running back and forth and squeezed me in an ice water while I waited. This isn't the biggest Starbucks location but the setup is cute. There is actually a large community table that is usually decorated with nice flowers or whatever suits the holiday season. There are a few 4 person tables outside so that's nice. Parking can be physically tight here as the spaces are skinnier than usual. It gets real busy during lunch time as well because of all the small restaurants surrounding it. The crowd is usually parents and professionals with a few Juicy Couture wearing OC moms. read more

Good service, mostly consistent taste in my orders. Clean space and supplies are always full. Only issue I have is that my order is occasionally forgotten during busy times of the day.
