I could not believe what I saw after ordering. One, the drink I was given was absolutely not a cortado, several times more milk than espresso. Two, I watched the barista pull the shot. The shot took about 5-10 seconds, came out completely thin and watery. I figured, oh he just had a bad shot, he'll dial it in and re-do it. Nope, he proceeded to hand the shot to the person steaming the milk, who filled up the cup (again, not cortado sized) with milk, and called my name. In hindsight, I should have said something, but gave him the benefit of the doubt. The drink tasted like straight hot oat milk. To make it worse, this drink was being sold for $7.50. Sorry to say it, but I do not recommend this place.

It's in a prime location and very popular. My friend, Te-see, treated me to a Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk. It was perfect with a nice mild flavor. The menu includes Americano, Espresso, Cappuccino, Chai Tea, Lemonade, Matcha drinks, and breakfast sandwiches & burritos. They also sell their own brand of roasted coffee beans. And Sur is my fav coffee in SC and I didn't realize they had a second SC location. I walked up and ordered a cappuccino the way it should be made not with some seed oil oat garbage but with whole milk. I spent the next few minutes in Bashams cruising the surfboard section, drooling. My Capp was ready in a few minute and let me tell you this was a TOP TIER cappuccino! I savored every sip. Lately it's been harder for me to order at the drive-thru unless someone is physically outside to take orders. There have been two incidents now where I've sat at the drive thru with no response. I've tried to say hello to see if there's a response and there is none. I think maybe the sensors are in need of maintenance. Please fix it because I've just driven off when this happens. Update: I went back 3/3/26 and sat at the drive thru waiting. Nobody answered so I figured the drive thru is closed. I go inside to order and I asked if the drive thru is closed. The baristas say it's open and "we saw you but we weren't sure if you were waiting to order from us or Hendels (next door ice cream shop)" but then why would I be waiting at better buzz to order from next door?!! then I hear them taking a drive thru order while I'm ordering at the counter. it's confirmed it's not the sensors that aren't picking up my car at the drive thru, I'm just being ignored. There aren't any menus throughout along the way and it's really hard to determine what is actually on their menu until you get inside of the coffee shop because most of their drinks on Yelp and Instagram are seasonal. When I was finally able to order, I ordered two different coffees because I wasn't sure what I was going to like given the coffee shop states all of their syrups are made in house. I think that's why the coffee didn't have any flavor and I didn't like it. The staff was nice enough to remake my drink, but even the second drink tasted like it didn't have any syrup in it and tasted like a regular latte. There is very limited seating inside of the coffee shop, merch is $30+ and you should be prepared for long waits.
