The baristas take care of the equipment here - very good and clean (smooth not astringent) coffee. I usually get quad Americano's and my wife espresso's over ice. Not a five star as with typical Starbucks, the tables and floors always need attention (cleaning). read more

This could very well be the worst Starbucks I've been too. Eight times outta ten my mobile orders take double the amount of time, sometimes even up to 15-20 mins. I'm quickly growing tired of the nasty attitudes that the baristas have here in the morning. I understand that most people don't like having to go to work at the crack of dawn, but if it is going to be that big of a challenge, find another line of work. Nobody wants to come in for their morning cup of coffee and pay $4+ to be treated like crap. Secondly, how is it that they are constantly out of 60-70% of their bakery items just 1-2 hours after opening? Seriously, you guys are not that busy. Always check EVERYTHING before you leave. My wife ordered a hot apple cider, they made too much, so they just poured it into my cup that was labeled as a "Chai latte with coconut milk". I got home and went to took and sip and got hot apple cider. The cup still says add coconut milk, and I actually think they may have added coconut milk to the apple cider... They also gave us the wrong sandwiches. Would be one star, but early morning crew during the week is awesome. Weekend crew seems to be a mess. The store is more crowded on weekends, but they messed up 4 out of the 5 things we ordered. read more

Like most people, Starbucks is an indulgence I don't really need. For me, my coffeemaker is broken. So I've been hitting up this Starbucks before work. I use the Starbucks app in order to skip the line and expedite my order. I literally place the order as I'm leaving my house, and by the time I arrive, it's usually ready. Usually. I've noticed a decline in service at this location, with today being the longest wait by far: 8 minutes. I stood at the counter for 8 minutes waiting for an online order. The barista handed me my coffee after about 4 minutes, when asked where the food was said "I don't know" and went back to mixing drinks. Finally at the 8 minute mark someone else came by and said "what are you waiting for?", found my sandwich in the pile of food waiting at the end of the counter, and finally gave it to me. 8 minutes. The barista just looks so sad, like he hates this job with every fiber of his being. You can see it in his stooped shoulders and turtle pace. He didn't have his headband on today and maybe that made it worse. I hope this location can get its act together; I wouldn't recommend coming here if you need to be somewhere on time. read more

I could spend all day in this Starbucks' patio. Sitting at a table with my grande skinny cinnamon dolce latte and snickerdoodle cookie while enjoying the ocean breeze and sunny blue skies. This was a nice little break from reality, even though it was only for an hour. read more

I have a very small income so cannot got to Starbucks too often. However, that doesn't mean that I don't treat myself occasionally. I love mocha frappuccino and it's invariably just right. Okay, this location is very popular and there's invariably a line of people waiting to be served, but it's well worth the wait. Comfortable places to sit inside, or you can relax outside. This starbucks has always done a great job with fast service and perfect drinks! The store is always clean and the drinks are made how they should be. Some starbucks don't make the drinks right everytime or it's messy but this place keeps up to it's standards. And I know they deal with a lot of kids since the movie theater is right there! read more

I've been going to this Starbucks since it opened many, many years ago (when there used to be a "backroom." I debated the rating between 4 and 5 mostly because the cleanliness is lacking... But that's because the poor staff is working their little booties off behind the counter. This place is way popular, too, which makes finding seating for more than two a challenge (even for us introverted loners it can be a pain to find a table). They're by far some of the best and most consistent baristas in the local chain. Many of my friends gladly come by here to meet with me because we know the quality is high. Not too happy they cut the evening hours... But, I'm not a corporate suit, so my reasons aren't monetary. This Starbucks looks nicer now that they remodeled it, but unfortunately the remodel has made it much less work-friendly. I used to love to come to this Starbucks with my laptop to get some work done. They had plenty of power outlets and there was a little alcove in the back that was the perfect work spot. Now that they remodeled there are fewer tables that are close to power outlets. The Starbucks itself is fine. The employees are friendly and fast. I'll still come here for coffee, but I miss the old layout. read more

I am totally biased, as I once worked at this location -- but really, what I have to say is the same as other Yelper's: this is the BEST location, with the BEST staff! Trust me, they run an insanely clean ship, are environmentally-friendly & just plain friendly! They can make drinks fast, perfect and beautiful, and are so good at coming up with delicious takes on Starbucks' classics, so if you're ever bored of The Usual...ask! I hope Marvin is still the manager here; I promise you that he's the reason this store is so awesome. He knows what he's doing and is totally committed to the vision. I miss my guys n' gals there. Very rude ladies working on Saturday 5/23. Waited for 15min for a breakfast burrito and when I asked if they could tell me when it would be ready 2 of the ladies ignored me and the 3rd one said they were very busy and will be another 10min. Finally I got it and it was the worst thing I've ever tasted. Never again will I be going to another Starbucks. Absolutely disappointing service, customer service and food. The staff at this location are the best...not hyperbole, truly the best! When you start your morning with good energy and caring people, it sets the right tone for the rest of the day. I have to give special recognition to my boy, Lucas. He is the epitome of what any organization would want to represent them. The past 3 times I have ordered drinks at this location, they have been made incorrectly (Ex. using whole milk instead of non fat milk). It is becoming a consistent issue. I think this store could definitely use improvement in that area. I probably won't be going back if it continues. read more

I ordered through mobile and went to pick up my order.... thank you very much to the barista for NOT checking my order. I paid for 2 cream cheeses and 2 bagels...not one. There's no point in arguing with the customer and giving attitude especially when I have a receipt... she still didn't give it to me of course so I had to walk away with one bagel and had to beg for my 1 cream cheese. We stopped in to get coffee and a couple of breakfast sandwiches. The egg, sausage and cheddar cheese on English muffins were stale, rubbery and tasteless...and overpriced. Obviously, they had been made quite a while ago and popped in a microwave; the cheese was semi-hard, the sausage was thin, gray and had no flavor at all, and the muffin was chewy. And the egg? The best I can say for it is that it was hardly noticeable. As for the coffee: it was good, but the little packets of honey they provided were all sticky even before we opened them. We'll be getting up earlier and enjoying home-cooked morning snacks instead of ever going back. read more

Drinks received correctly. Received a warm croissant instead of a warm cookie. They swapped it, but no apologies, not particularly rude, but not apologetic either. To be fair, they were constantly busy the 70+ minutes I stayed drinking and eating (just people watching, waiting for real life, did not wait extremely long for my order). This location typically doesn't offer dark roast coffee after noon. Savannah offered to brew a new pot of dark roast to satisfy my refill request. I work from Starbucks 1-2 x a week. This was a first and a truly exceptional customer experience. Savannah sets an example all employees should follow. read more

This is by far the worse Starbucks I have been to. The staff always act like you are interrupting their conversations. They have a hard time keeping fresh coffee available. I though the Starbucks standard was that a fresh pot was to be brewed every 30 minutes, apparently this store does not know the standards. I guess pushing the start button is too taxing. If you are not a "regular" they like, expect to be ignored in line and given major attitude for asking for fresh coffee. Especially since I've been here for over 30 min without a fresh pot being brewed. When I paid for my refill and simply asked to wait for the fresh pot, I was met with a fine, it will be 20 min. So if math is correct, that's almost an hour without a fresh pot. Need to reevaluate the staff here! read more

I ordered a hot choc. with whip cream. I waited a few minutes for it and it didn't taste all that great. I was disappointed about the flavor, but most of all that the barista wouldn't let me use the bathroom because they were "already closed down." She suggested I go next door to Subway to use the bathroom. I was so upset that as a customer I couldn't use the restroom. As I was leaving I heard the girls working saying they were going to lock the door so that no one else could come in. Bad service. read more

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst Starbucks I've been to. And trust me, I drink a lot of Starbucks. At any given time, I have never waited less than 20 minutes line or no line for something as simple as a green ice tea. The line isn't even out the door as it is sometimes at another nearby location (which is way faster) and I wish there was a second open on the other side of Estrella so it evens out the wait situation. We actually tend to avoid this one even though it's less than a mile from our house. Not sure if they are understaffed or unaware, but it's a bummer. This store is ALWAYS busy. They never have much downtime, but the baristas are always working with a smile on their face. Even if there is an issue with an order, they will fix it right away. I don't think I have ever gone in here without the line being out the door, but I'm always out quick. Not a frequent visitor to coffee establishments, but I enjoy the occasional chai or latte. This Starbucks (not unlike many others) is a basic stop, nothing special. One thing I can't understand about every Starbucks store I visit is how untidy they (and actually kind of gross) they are. Trash is full inside the store, chairs and tables are all in disarray, crumbs on every surface, napkin dispensers all empty. Drinks took a really long time too, and they seemed understaffed. I usually come to this Starbucks often and it's a little busier than I desire but it's closer than the one in Dana point. When I went in on Saturday, the 23rd of February at 9:45 AM in the morning a sandy blonde haired young man sold me the two coffees for my girlfriend and I. When I order two pikes place coffees I expect to get pikes place coffees. After adding sugar and cream I proceeded to drive home to give one to my girlfriend. When we started drinking the coffee we noticed a strange cinnamon type taste and realized immediately that it was not pikes place. This really pisses me off because if you're busy and a customer orders a specific item don't feel you have the right to serve them anything you want just to lighten the crowd. The coffee this kid gave us tasted like crap! $5.20 for crap! This has never happened to me at a Starbucks. Sometimes they'll tell me I have to wait five minutes for pikes place and I don't mind because they're being honest. Whoever the manager is at this Starbucks location please talk to your employee at the time stated before in this review. If I'm paying good money for a good cup of coffee I expect to get it! Don't ever serve me some other crap just because you're too lazy and busy to give me what I ordered! read more
