I hadn't actually visited this Starbucks or walked by really. I noticed it today when I got off the 43 after the Presidio. I didn't take that bus line that much. I asked the barista where this was..."Buchanan and Marina." Interesting. A small seating area in front and back. I ordered a frappucino with too much whipped cream. It was caramel. I sat around for a bit. I also got a rice krispie treat to snack on..it was fun finding this Starbucks..tucked away near the end of the 43..could walk to Chestnut. read more

While I LOVE to convenience of the app, I always cringe to myself when putting in a large order b/c I know Starbucks is always busy and I don't like holding up any else's orders...But with that being said... I had put in an order on the app for 8 people. That was 8 drinks, AND 8 breakfast items. When I tell you I have not seen a Starbucks, not only move so swiftly, but be so organized with packaging....all with a smile on their face? I was so mind blown b/c I do big orders for work where I live and I can see the looks I get sometimes, like oh...you're THAT person with all these items. But here, everyone was so so sweet and accommodating and patient, and they really went out of their way to make sure everything in my order was accurate. I have never had a pleasant experience picking up a large order at a Starbucks, so I felt inclined to share. Whoever did the hiring at this location, you definitely know how to pick them. read more

I don't understand why this Starbucks has gone downhill. Not only have they fully removed their seating area and tables inside. The restroom has so called been "unavailable" for over a week. I went inside and asked just for a venti ice water, (as I have done in the past with no issues or problems), then the manager rudely asks if I have bought something, which i response no I have not, and if I did need to pay for the water I would be more than happy and the ability to do so. She then replies, Sorry but there's no way for me to ring you up in the system for just a water. I walked out after this but in my mind..... If there is no way to ring it up in their system then how would she be able to ring me up for the water with something else? Most starbucks I've ever been to usually will charge .25 cents for an ice water or .50 cents for the cost of the cup. I understand why they do and I have no problem with paying for it. But when you say your system does not allow to ring up a water then how would it be rung up if I were to have bought something else? read more

I love this Starbucks location. I usually mobile order either on the way from home or after an errand (post office is a few doors down) & pickup. They are super fast & friendly. I love the egg bites on their menu & Starbucks started offering a mushroom & kale version which has quickly become my favorite food item. Have had no complaints about this location. I walk to this location bc of the services although i have one that's a block away from my home. This location is definitely better than the one off of Chestnut. I suggest mobile ordering, as you should at any Starbucks. Although they have quite a few people working, they do get busy. After walking for about 12 miles around the bay, it was time for a little pick-me-up so this location was on our trail. I couldn't help but order a pumpkin spiced cold brew, so that's what I did. This Starbucks was just a standard run of the mill coffee shop. I ordered, they made my drink, and I walked out. I did wait for at least 10 minutes to use the bathroom until it just wasn't worth the wait so I walked away. read more

This is a nice location but it's so noisy it's not possible to sit for the duration of the coffee. The baristas carry a conversation among each other shouting! We had to listen all their thoughts and opinions about their shift, their plans for the night, etc. Wow! You definitely need your earplugs here if you are planning to sit more than 3 min. read more

These four stars go out to this Starbucks and the Orange Mango Banana Vivano. First, for the beverage. I discovered this "smoothie" when Starbucks was doing a special with afternoon drinks for $2 if you bought any drink in the morning. For a couple weeks there, I was a 2-times-per-day Starbucks girl... anyways, this drink includes a good amount of protein and is yummy and about 270 calories (but who's counting?!). They use a real banana so it's pretty banana-y and makes me think of a tropical banana cocktail. I think it's very worth the $3.75! This Starbucks is efficient though always seems a bit dirty to me. Not super dirty but not as clean as other Starbucks around... It's an easy stop right next to the 24 Hour Fitness though and a fun reward for a big work-out! read more

Taking a walk from Crissy field east toward the Marina Green, I spotted a cafe on the east end of Crissy field. But wait, I don't have any credit cards or cash on me. Only my smart phone. Light bulb on! I have the Starbucks app loaded. I knew there was a Starbucks across the street from Safeway. My pace quickened. Walked along the Marina and headed toward Safeway by Fort Mason. Arrived shortly and got my caffeine fix. Plenty of tables by the front door and several toward the back of the store. Long and narrow storefront. Took the place of "Just Desserts" cafe from years back. Very convenient location as it's near Fort Mason and the Marina Green. read more

Came in the morning and it was quite busy and I can tell it is well-run since everything was flowing smoothly. The lines were long, but the baristas were fast and efficient in getting everyone in and out. Lauren jumped in and took my drink order and by the time I paid at the register (I can't recall the other barista's name), my drink was ready by another girl, Kristen who always has a smile on her face. All three are great and this is probably why I like coming to this location because they make it worth my while This Starbucks is in a great location. The employees forgot to add my vanilla and not hot, BUT what really set the decision was the gal waiting on me was rude and unity eeriness I asked if she could add some extra HOT milk to my latte. At first she started to say, no. -- you could tell, but then took the cup and said it WAS hot and if I needed it hotter I should ask for it to be extra hot. We usually go to this Starbucks when visiting family here in San Francisco. However, we arrived here at 6:40 pm and they told us they were closed. They already had all the chairs up and they were cleaning the floors. The app says they are open until 7:00 pm. I don't think I have ever seen a Starbucks close that early? We also weren't the only ones showing up and upset they were already closed. If you plan to visit here within 30 minutes of closing time I would definitely rethink that. When we visited another Starbucks we learned that this location has been known to close before their actual closing time... so beware! Just not cool. read more

I absolutely love this Starbucks. Not to say I don't frequent other coffee houses with better coffee, but the main reason I come here during the work week is for the great customer service. The baristas act like they are enjoying their jobs, and have taken the time over the past few months to get to know me. The ones I interact with regularly know me by name, which as a previous Partner myself I can appreciate even more so now. The drinks I order always come out tasty (I can tell when ya don't calibrate the espresso machines...these guys do!) and the place is usually pretty clean. Keep up the good work! read more

There was no explanation nor apology, nothing (although I didn't ask why not, I dont feel I had to, she should have explained without us asking, its called customer service) not to mention she said it in a very curt manner, my girlfriend still wanted coffee so she began to order hers and grab some pastries and water.
