Not pictured the pandan latte but this place is so good!! The pandan latte was the perfect sweetness and good coffee flavor. The store inside is small but so cute and nicely decorated. They also always seem to have a line but it doesn't take too long.

I was SO SO excited to try Kopiku since it's been on my list for so long!! I visited on a Saturday and luckily the rush came in right behind my friend and I. I'm a lover of pandan and had SO much trouble choosing a drink because of it lol. I ended up ordering the kopi klepon and it was amazing! The drink was super creamy and earthy, and I loved how vibrant the pandan flavor was. Oftentimes when I get pandan drinks the flavor is way too light, but this had the perfect amount. It also had a bit of palm sugar in it, which added just the right level of sweetness. Definitely lived up to the hype!

Super cute space!! The coffee was excellent and the kaya toast was yummmmm (I mean butter and lightly sweet jam and white bread cant not be). just what we needed after a hike! service was quick. you might not be able to find seating inside and it's more of a bar seating situation so would recommend grabbing stuff and eating elsewhere

First time trying Indonesian coffee! I've been here twice now and it's great. They have cool flavors and have really friendly workers. Pricing is slightly on the higher side but similar to other coffee shops ($7+). But they do have larger portions. I will say the coffee flavor itself, is a little bit more on the subtle side but very smooth and good. I have tried their Kopi Pandan and Kopi Gula Aren. Both are great! Next time, I got to try the pastries bc I heard they are very good! Ambiance: It's a small shop with some seating inside a couple benches outside.

Whenever I'm in Frisco, I always hit this spot up!! Thanks to my coffee connoisseur niece who introduced me to this gem. Love the PANDAN coffee here!! Spacious enough for seating area and cool vibe sounds draws you in among their coffee signatures. Also some traditional sweets to try. Come on in!!

Don Juan de la Matcha enjoys matcha and coffee from different regions of the world. It seems matcha can be found all around the world in unexpected places. There is a place where you can find matcha from a place that has over 17,000 islands and is the world largest island country. You can find this Indonesian coffee in SF on Lombard by Van Ness on the block which has four hotels on it . This place is called Kopiku ( in Indonesian means my coffee) Indonesian Coffee. On a Spring stroll where the tourist trap themselves at night on Lombard street at Hotels and Motels for some sleep and lounging. Lombard street has the most hotels and motels concentrated in SF from Van Ness all the way to Baker street. This is a place Don Juan has frequent many times over the years. Inside Kopiku Indonesian Coffee they offer hot and cold coffee and expresso. I decided to try the Ice Pandan Matcha. It was crisp, smooth and not too sweet. It's just the way Don Juan de la Matcha likes it . They also have avocado coffee along with tasty crispy Kaya toast which is not too flakey like some in SF. Come to the Marina District on Lombard streets when it comes to hotels and motels in SF they have the "most" of hotels "host" some wake up to Don Juan de la matcha favorite Pandan Matcha and smell the espresso and java "roast"and enjoy something crispy and little flakey in SF like Kaya "toast" Matcha has reached all over the world and different many "region" for the Lombard hotels some came through last week to watch the SF Giants games at Oracle Park for the" opening season " you will see different people come visit for the March Madness NCAA basketball games attended by Alumni's and some "Collegian" some go to grab coffee and matcha at Kopiku with flavors that are "Indonesian"

Loved the iced kopi pandan and pandan bolu! The pandan works so well with the coffee and both flavours are delicious. The pandan bolu was soft and springy, lovely cake that isn't too sweet. I need to come back and try the rest of their menu. The staff are friendly and I was able to order and receive everything pretty quickly. Somewhat limited seating as the place is kinda small.

Their coffee tastes pretty unique! There's a cute board outside the shop that shows their story of how they met the Indonesian farmers they sourced the beans from. The sponge cake was also rich in the pandan flavor, and the texture was delicate and soft. Would come back again if I'm in town. The line was long but moved pretty fast. The cashier (maybe owner?) had big smiles on and was giving out plums from their backyard. We went Saturday around 1-2PM, and the store was small and crowded. We couldn't find seating. Overall, still a great place to pick up coffee and a snack.

Second time around and this time got the kopi pandan as well as the kopi avocado which was recommended by the cashier. The kopi pandan was light and not overpowering with either flavors. Sweetness was perfect. The avocado one was surprisingly smooth and mixed well with the coffee! It was not too sweet or thick. I didn't think I would actually like this more than the pandan that I came for but this might be my new obsession !!

Kopi pandan and earl grey matcha

Came here on a Tuesday and though there was an abundance of people, my husband and I were able to get our orders in really quick. The barista was friendly and got our drinks to us in a timely manner. She even checked to make sure our drinks were made to our preference which was very sweet of her to do. Kopi Pandan with extra pandan flavor (5/5)- pandan is typically very subtle and friends have told me they wished there was more pandan flavor in their drinks here so I requested for more of the pandan. The pandan was so fragrant and mixed well with the espresso. Earl grey matcha (5/5)- they had a sign highlighting this drink and the barista said that this was a new item they were trying to incorporate in their menu. The earl grey wasn't overpowered by the matcha and it wasn't too sweet. My husband loved it! Mushroom truffle pastry (4/5)- the pastry had crunchy outer ridges but covered a soft delicate croissant like bread. The only thing is that there was not truffle flavor. Slightly disappointed by the filling but very satisfied with the pastry itself. Love this coffee shop and can't wait to try their other items.

Love the kopi pandan. It's not too sweet but not bitter either. It's the perfect balance. The inside is a little small but there's still tables and seats available. The staff is super friendly and will answer questions about the menu.

Cute Indonesian coffee shop. There was no line at 8:30am on a Sunday. We got the kopi tubruk which was fantastic, and the kaya toast was also good. It's a small place with just a few seats inside, but the vibe is super chill & inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and even came over to chat with us. The owner's Maltese dog, Bulu, was sitting in the corner of the shop and was absolutely adorable - so happy we got to pet her!

3.5 stars. I like trying different matcha shops in the city and found a spot on Yelp. I decided to stop by an hour before they closed and there was only one customer inside. I like the minimalist aesthetic. I don't think I've ever been to an Indonesian coffee shop and not really sure what the difference is compared to other places. I'm a big fan of pandan matcha so decided to order that. I think I only waited less than five minutes before it was ready. I could taste more of the pandan but not so much of the matcha. It was good, but not something I would order again since I like to taste both. Surprised that there wasn't an adjustment for the level of sweetness. I don't drink coffee, but I'm curious about the taste of the kopi pandan. Someone please let me know.

The Mocha with the house made nut milk fell flat. It needed something. I am not a fan of syrupy coffees and appreciate the more purist approach but this one just didn't do anything for me. The chai latte which I would never order was actually the best chai latte I have ever had, it was smooth like silk. Maybe I just had the wrong coffee order. Besides that, got the hot chocolate and the coffee tasting. I was surprised there was no explanation provided with the coffee- I figured it's all Honduran but an overview of some sort would have helped. I enjoyed all the coffees in there except the latte. Will visit again, earlier in the day so they are not out of their best sellers and try a different order.

Both locations have limited seating, though the Nob Hill location does offer a small outdoor high-top table where you can stand and enjoy your coffee. Every location I've visited has also had a line, but honestly, the service is so efficient that the wait never feels too bad. When you walk in, the ordering process is somewhat similar to Philz. You place your order with the barista who starts your drink, it gets passed down the line for preparation, and you pay at the register at the end. While you're there, you can also decide whether you'd like to grab a sweet treat to go along with your daily dose of caffeine. The coffee here is strong and bold without being bitter. Everything I've tried has been incredibly smooth. While my most recent visit was for one of their coffee flights--something I'd been wanting to try for a while--I usually stick to their cocoa cappuccino, which is small but mighty and finished with a sprinkle of cocoa, or simply a classic drip coffee. If you're looking for elaborate latte flavors and seasonal creations, this probably isn't the spot for you. But if you want a coffee that will truly wake you up and you enjoy exploring the natural flavor profiles of coffee beans, Coffee Movement is absolutely worth checking out.

The Coffee Movement is a small specialty coffee shop that focuses on doing a few things extremely…read morewell. We walked into a minimalist, compact space with limited seating and more of a grab and go setup rather than a place to spend hours working. The simple design fits the concept well, putting the attention entirely on the coffee rather than the atmosphere or extra features. The space feels intentional, the kind of place where every square foot is used efficiently and nothing is added for the sake of decoration. The biggest reason to visit is the coffee itself. The drinks are carefully crafted, with espresso based options like cappuccinos and lattes standing out for their balance and smoothness. The cappuccino was a highlight, with rich espresso flavor, well textured milk, and a natural sweetness that came through without needing to overpower the drink. The milk was steamed to the right consistency, and the espresso held its own without getting lost. Seasonal drinks like the ginger latte and specialty options add some creativity while still keeping the coffee as the focus, showing that the kitchen is willing to experiment without straying too far from what they do best. The Coffee Movement also has a strong selection for anyone interested in exploring different flavors, including drip coffee, espresso drinks, and coffee flights. The menu stays focused without feeling overwhelming, and each drink feels thoughtfully made rather than just another café option. We found the pastries more limited compared to a full bakery, but they paired well with the drinks if you want something small, offering a light complement to the coffee without competing for attention. Because of its reputation, lines can form during busy hours, but the service moves quickly and the workflow behind the counter is impressive. The team handles the volume with efficiency, and the pace of the visit stays smooth even when the line stretches. The lack of indoor seating is the main thing to keep in mind, as this is better suited for a quick coffee stop or enjoying your drink outside rather than a long café session. The seating situation is clearly a design choice, keeping the focus on the coffee and the turnover rather than encouraging lingering. The Coffee Movement is a great example of a coffee shop that does not rely on a large space or elaborate menu to stand out. The focus on quality, consistency, and the craft behind each drink makes it one of the spots worth seeking out if you are serious about coffee in San Francisco. It delivers a clean, well executed cup that feels intentional from start to finish.
