I ordered via the Starbucks app and when I came into the store, the drink was ready on the pickup counter waiting for me. The music was chill and some of my favorite songs were playing as I enjoyed my refresher. The baristas behind the counter were friendly and provided excellent service. The cran-merry refresher I had was delicious, and I am so glad I tried this drink before it goes off the menu. I highly recommend that you get this refresher with lemonade! This review is for the location in the small strip plaza next to Gardner Mattress and not for the Target Starbucks on the same site. I stop at the Commerce Way Starbucks (with drive-thru) in Woburn whenever I'm traveling on I-93 to/from NH and Boston and need caffeine. It's easy on and easy off at Exit 37C! The drinks are slightly cheaper here in MA than at the NH Starbucks stores due to the higher NH meals tax (9% up there). The drink prices here are generally slightly lower than at Starbucks located in the City of Boston and Cambridge and in shopping malls. I usually go inside and it is usually not too busy when I go there late afternoon and evenings. I usually get hot brewed coffees, but sometimes I may order the handmade drinks when I have a Happy Hour deal on my Starbucks app. Also, when using the app to do a mobile order, make sure you have the correct store since there are other Starbucks in Woburn. There are also a few power outlets here too, to keep my devices charged as I do some work. There is only one restroom in the back too, so please knock. When I order hot coffee, they usually ask if I want room for cream on top, but if you say yes, they leave too much room on top, so if I scan to see if the half & half container out in the lobby, I'll say no room please and they'll leave just enough room for a light pour of half & half. The bakery case at this location usually has the vanilla bean scones here, so I'll get one to go with my drink. I usually ask for a free coffee refill with registered Starbucks card after finishing my first drink (coffee or handmade drink), which is definitely what I need to get work done. read more

Always very slow. Today was the 2nd time in a row I have had to skip picking up my order because the order (2 sandwiches and 1 coffee) were not ready even after 25 minutes of placing the order. And they don't refund over the phone. You have to come into the store for a refund. Now it's more than $25 over 2 orders that I have lost on this location over the last 2 orders. This is truly the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. There have been several occasions when I went based on the hours in the Starbucks app and they decided to close 1-2 hours early. Two people walked out infront of me complimenting the fast service and kind employees. When I got to my car I took a sip of my coffee and it tasted burnt. I ordered ahead on my app in the drive thru and unfortunately it said they were out of lemonade so I ordered my drink with water instead of lemonade. When I reached the speaker I asked if they had lemonade for the heck of it because sometimes the app is wrong and the lady said they did actually have lemonade. I asked if she could add some to my drink and she told me it was already made so that wasn't possible. I was a little upset but I wasn't going to let it ruin my day. Starbucks, Starbucks, Starbucks. While I don't come here too much, I either have an outstanding experience or distasteful one. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of the outstanding ones. If you haven't been before, Starbucks is similar to (more popular) Dunkin Donuts, but more expensive and catering towards the more high-end clientele. Coffee is a bit different than Dunkin Donuts, but I don't find one better than the other (I barely ever drink coffee anyway though....). Bottled drinks are available, and the peppermint hot chocolate is my favorite. Food is also available, such as bagels, muffins, scones, donuts, and other pastries. Tons of breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches as well too. This specific restaurant has outdoor seating and a drive thru attached. And if they don't happen to have exactly what you want, there is a Starbucks across the lot inside of Target. Staff are pretty friendly, but here, prices are really high and the servings are small. I ordered a bagel, and was still very hungry after. Drive thru is automated at they are pretty fast, but not satisfied as much as I should've been. Alright location, but other Starbucks I've been to have been more impressive and filling for that matter. 3 stars here. read more

Oh, I'm torn when I think of this location -Of all the Starbucks I've ever been to, this one has the worst , slowest service....the people running the drive thru window are often just chattering away and never seem to be working ... -BUT they have a drive thru!!!! .... yet I get stuck waiting in the drive thru for 7-15 minutes when there is only 2 cars in front of me.. (yes, I should just go in, I know...) -BUT they have really fresh food... yet my order is usually wrong (when ordering from drive thru).... -BUT they have great outdoor seating....yet 9 out of 10 times, they are apologizing to me for the service or botched order. Hmmm. Let's see. I'm pretty sure my permanent address is 99 Commerce Way, Woburn, MA, 01801. Yup. Love this place. If it's too hot, there is the drive-thru. If it's too cold, there is the drive-thru. Rain, snow, sleet, hail, sunshine, 102% humidity...drive-thru. But regardless of the fantastic drive-thru I still go inside. I love the people who work in this Starbucks. It's ALWAYS clean and it's never too busy. When the sunlight streams in around 4pm as the sun starts to set, it's magical. The coffee is never watery or over-brewed. The pastries (rarely purchased) are always good when I get them. One of the ladies in the morning always compliments me on my hair and waves hello. And the girls in the afternoon are so helpful. First off, yes, it's a Starbucks, so I'm grading on the Starbucks curve. Yes, there is better coffee, and I recognize and celebrate that coffee elsewhere. But that better coffee is usually not in Woburn. It is usually not accompanied by delicious breakfast sandwiches, and it is not all served to me with a smile by the Starbucks Superhero Paul. Paul is simultaneously everywhere, making sure orders were right, that there are enough straws out, that drinks are made (Right. You will see him remake things if the texture/color/whatever isn't right. Not that it happens often.) Call me a yuppie or whatever, but Starbuckses are a guilty pleasure of mine. I enjoy sitting at a bar close to the action (here it's right near the frap station and espresso machines). And these people are fun to watch. It's pleasantly controlled chaos. Also, they get my personal pet peeve right--- they always use the soy blender carafe for my soy drinks. They will make one drink at a time for my boyfriend and I so they use the right carafe. One star for opening late... The Starbucks app indicates that his location opens at 5:00 a.m. I got here around 5:10 a.m. and noticed that there were people waiting outside so I thought perhaps the app was wrong and that the opening time was 5:39 a.m. I then noticed the manager arriving at 5:23 a.m. (according to my phone) and the person who was waiting was actually an associate waiting. It's now getting close to 6:00 a.m. and the two employees are still quickly trying to set or doing something. Not sure but no one has come to acknowledge the customers. Meanwhile many people stopped waiting and just left. I really need my caffeine. I am now more motivated to see when this place actually opens and sees what the staff says when they do finally open the doors.... I also called the number listed in the app but no one answered... Doors opened at 5:52 a.m. and I asked the manager what time they open. She indicated 5:00 a.m. but said she was late in getting here in the morning and so.... No apology for waiting or opening late. I think I was the only customer left waiting who ultimately came in. Shortly after I ordered a bunch of people came in so maybe they just arrived. I also saw that there was a car at the drive through window with the driver being handed coffee. I have had other bad experiences related to customer service here but decided against placing anything on here. I used to shudder at the thought of a $5 cup of coffee. But you know what? You get what you pay for. Heaven. I want the staff to be my BFF's too! I love them! They even love my dog, and he is offered little starbucks cups of water and biscuits!!! He loves going through the drive through! (Did I mention there is a drive though??) They always remember us! I am a fan because of the drive-thru. I'm a fan of the hours this place has. There is so much parking available it's insane. I like that. They have a ton of outdoor seating and they are oh so close to Target... The employees were not amazingly nice. The focus seemed to be on moping (three hours prior to what I was told over the phone was closing time) and the drive thru orders, not the customers patiently waiting in line at the register. read more

Sometimes I have had great service here and it was super fast, other times I'll be the only one in line, yet I spend a good 10 minutes there for an iced coffee?! They get my drinks wrong A LOT. Apparently when I say 'venti' they think it's a 'Grande'? And I don't even have an accent by any means, so I'm not sure how that happens?! There is also this one woman that works there, if I see her working the bar I don't get my normal drink because to her a Grande Soy Caramel Mach comes out ALL FOAM. That's not how it should be made! I used to work at a Starbucks (6 years total), I know how they ran, I ran one for a while.. This one needs to learn to run their store better, focus on the customer in line and not restocking cups that don't need to be restocked at the moment. read more

The one star is for the drive-thru. The only reason I keep going to this location is mainly because of the drive-thru. They never fail to mess up my drink. Whether it Cappuccino or a latte, they never get my coffee right, besides being slow, not hearing well through the intercom or getting the order wrong MOST of the time, and I don't recall how many times I got regular milk when I specifically asked for NON-FAT. Or, when I ask for a non-fat drink and they add tons of whipped cream, without asking, there must be a reason I asked for non-fat milk. On the "Starbucks curve", this one is not bad. There's a drive thru! which means it's relatively big. Being so close to many businesses in Woburn, you get a lot of business people coming in for their morning coffee, which results in a long, snaky line winding around the store. It seems to move fairly quickly though. But being a perpetual student, I am always on the hunt for places to study. This Starbucks is busy, but not loud. Ample outlets and ample tables/chairs. Not very roomy, though, as the store is narrow and long (to accommodate the aforementioned long, snaky line). Baristas are friendly. Lots o' parking in the parking lot. read more

The rating is based solely on the process they have here for getting orders out efficiently. I've never had a bad drink from them. The issue this place has is the way their system runs. It seems that mobile orders, drive thru orders and in person orders all fall into the same line. So you end up having three people working all the mobile orders coming in, leaving the people who are standing there waiting for 15+ minutes. The people making drinks need to split up. One works mobile orders (the persons not even there waiting yet) and the other 2-3 work the drive thru and in person orders. When that line has died down jump on and help another person out. It's extremely simple and can help you guys fire out a cappuccino in sub 17 minutes, 23 seconds. Get it together!! read more
