This is our third time bringing our dogs to Starcrest. I can tell that their experience there is good because they have no reservations when they arrive. One of our dogs, Lola, is allergic to every protein but fish, and the staff does a good job making sure she doesn't eat anything she is allergic to. Goku wouldn't work out in one of those doggie spas, so I'm very thankful that these guys take good care of my furry friends. I have never have any problems with Rita, as I make sure my dogs are properly vaccinated, and I send her pdf's of the vaccines right when we get them. I think Rita really cares about the dogs, and it makes me less anxious when I have to be without them for a week. Thanks Starcrest!

This is a kennel. Not a dog spa. Dogs have heated/air conditioned indoor space and outdoor, too. They get a chance to play in the yard and get lots of love and attention from the staff. These folks know dogs. First rate. Our Maggie goes happily and comes home healthy and happy. Certainly recommend for people who want a kennel for a day, weekend or longer.

We've boarded our dog many times at Starcrest and there's no doubt the staff loves and cares deeply for they're canine guests.

All of our fears left us when meeting Madeline who would be there primary caregiver and when every single day, we would get little updates with pictures letting us know how our cats were doing! I am glad that I listened to the other Yelp reviewers as they were definitely on point. YELP came to the rescue when I was searching for a dog walker for the first time in my life. I was going to be away from my house for over 10 hours during a recent weekend and needed to have someone walk my Ethel in the evening. Enter Purrs & Grrrs. Because they are local, you don't have to worry about anyone getting stuck in traffic. They offer a free meet/greet and ask all the right questions. Even the registration form asked some very specific and needed questions. I was very impressed by the registration process and how easy everything was. Even paying them was easy as a client can pay by using the CASH app. Otherwise, checks/cash are accepted as well. I advised them of the different walking areas that I usually take Ethel and even areas to avoid (streets that sometimes has loose dogs from the neighbors). I also asked that if they crossed a particular busy street, that they carry Ethel as I don't trust the cars and their drivers. They totally understood all my concerns and took notes as well. After they walked Ethel, I would get a text with pictures and letting me know how everything went. Because of that, my mind was set at ease as Ethel was taken care of and enjoyed the walk (see the pictures) Don't look any further, you have found your dog walking service!! I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Without hesitation, I will use Purrs & Grrrs again.

The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.

Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. If you're scrolling through reviews wondering whether this is the right place for your dog, I hope this helps. Five years later, after hundreds of drop-offs and pickups, I can say with complete confidence that choosing Ally and Travis was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Nova. They have loved him like he was their own, and I will spend the rest of his life being grateful for that.
