We passed it a couple times around the block as we had no idea it was pretty much a garage like location built on a house. It's such a cool idea and very comfortable, relaxing environment. They had great beer choices! The coffee blonde was amazing and we also enjoyed the coconut beer. I closed my eyes and imagined the waves on my feet. The buffalo wrap was amazing and the tater tots are something to talk about! You can customize your tots or just get them plain. Overall, we will be back!

First Visit to Lake Milton Brewery - Now Also a Winery…read more This was our first time visiting Lake Milton Brewery, which has recently added wine to its offerings. When we arrived, we took a look at their wine selection, which included a few reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, along with some fruit wines. The blackberry wine was quite enjoyable, and while the Cab wasn't our favorite, it wasn't bad either. Since the brewery was the original focus here, I was excited to try some of the beers--especially Cole's Kölsch--but unfortunately, they were out. I then asked for the Irish Red, but that was also unavailable. I sampled the IPA, but it didn't have the flavor profile of a traditional IPA, and the only beer they had on tap was the Loveless Lager. While lagers are typically a safe choice, this one tasted a bit flat, lacking carbonation. I was also really looking forward to trying the Ale Bunny Blonde Ale, which is a tribute to Ed O'Neil--best known as an actor but also a former football player from Youngstown, OH. He even played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1969 under the legendary Hall of Fame coach Chuck Noll, arguably one of the best NFL coaches of all time. Unfortunately, that beer wasn't available during our visit either. It's possible we caught them on an off day, but despite that, the woman we spoke with was incredibly kind and welcoming. She shared that they've been open for four years, and I can definitely see this being a popular spot in the warmer months with the right atmosphere and offerings. We'll likely give it another try in the summer to see how the experience compares.

Everything from 0.0% to stouts, sours, shandys and IPA's. This place cranks out more varieties than you can think of. My faves the Turbo Shanty Citrus Ale a smooth light citrus based ale made for day drinking but watch out it packs a punch at 7.0% ABV. I also liked the Gangster Frog IPA. Another easy drinking though slightly spicy (think HOPS) IPA clocking in at 7.5% ABV. Pace yourself as many of their brews carry a higher alcohol content than you often see. Popular watering hole it can get crowded but all are friendly and welcoming. You may see the owner wandering about as well. He loves to mingle with the crowd.

Atmosphere was fun and relaxed with a few TVs and arcade games, various types of seating and plenty of windows to watch the world go by. Sampled a few before deciding on the 25,000 Lights Christmas beer. It has a smooth subtle spiced flavor, much less obnoxious than many other Christmas ales. Served at the perfect temp and the sugared rim is a must -do. They have a menu that looks pretty interesting. Next time I'll order some food and the berry sour.

I do not drink beer, but he does. My first experience at Aeonian was being told they don't have ice and that my water would be lukewarm tap water. That did not go over well. Since that visit, they do have ice which is awesome. On two of my visits, I have ordered different salads. The salads themselves are huge, but the protein on top was not. On my latest visit, I ordered the chicken tenders on top of my salad. It came out with literally what I would say is a single chicken tender. It was honestly ridiculous for a $5 up charge. My family has raved about the fries and burgers though. The service is average. The servers have always been kind, but not always super attentive. The brewery is family friendly and very clean. All of that to say, try it for yourself. We clearly have differing opinions in our house and you may find you enjoy it.
