I asked the waitress if there would be more, so she went back in the kitchen to check. She brought out 2 rolls on a plate. At first I thought she was bringing me fresh rolls. Then she set the plate in front of me. They looked like she had squirted butter from a squeeze bottle on them. She said maybe the butter would help soften them up. She then told me she knew I probably wouldn't be happy with them. I told her she should not serve that to customers. She got mad and walked off. They call it Starvin' Marvin's because you leave the same way you came in...starving! We had to reorder multiple times because the kitchen kept running out of food. We were made to feel guilty because we didn't order the buffet which we saw multiple people unhygenicaly serving themselves. Once we finally received our food, it was absolutely atrocious! Went to Starvin Marvins based on reviews and was very disappointed in our experience. The shrimp dinner was brought to the table cold and the mashed potatoes that was ordered with crab legs was also cold. This was brought to the waitresses attention and she took the plate back to the kitchen. When the plate was returned, the others were finished with the meal. The shrimp was hot but the sides were now cold, as they were on the original plate. I mentioned this at the register and the older gentleman just repeated back what I said. Now keep in mind this was 5.30 in evening and we were going to dinner before our 8.00 show. THIS WAS THE WORST BUFFETT EVER. It was dinner time and the food tasted like left over lunch. The orka was cold and tough. The bread was old and stale. The fish was terrible. Cold fish is never good.. The only good thing about this dinner was the Margarita. It was very tasty. One of us ordered a chicken sandwich, and when it made it to the table it was a chicken fried chicken sandwich (which is also on the menu, but was not what was ordered). Two people ordered the country dinners of country fried steak. It was okay in taste, but the food was cold and they also didn't receive their bread. Lastly, one of us ordered the Alfredo with snow crab. The noodles and sauce were good but the crab was still in strips and hadn't had the cartilage/tendon pulled from it. The whole in-shell pieces did not come with a tool to pull the crab from them. While these are all minor things, it all has a domino effect to the experience. The waitress also forgot the salads that came with the suppers. For an average of $20-25 per person, this restaurant was not worth the price. read more
