Been in Branson 4 days now and this was hands down the best meal we had. We had the seafood buffet with the add on crab legs. They were spot on cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. Not one thing on the buffet was over cooked. They kept everything full and fresh. Our server was very very friendly. All of the staff we encountered was over the top friendly. The restrooms were clean. Wish we would have came sooner just so we could come back while we were here!! The 4 of us went for lunch late about 2:30, they were putting out the lunch buffet, 21.00 dollars seemed like a lot, so we ate off menu, both hubby and I had the roast beef, the potatoes were awful, cold and dry, and the gravy was the worse, I scraped it off, tasted weird. Our two family had the chicken, she did not like it. The buffet might have been better because it was hot. Our waiter was trying to be funny I guess as he kept calling the ladies names like princess, really not funny. He gave us a hard time for ordering water while she ordered ice tea and he praised her, she asked for sweet and he brought her unsweetened and he acted annoyed . I don't know if we will ever go back because it was not very good. It got crowded, with kids next to us throwing major tantrums, screaming and parent ignoring them, it was a group of 8 , so glad we were ready to leave, I love kids but tantrums not acceptable in a restaurant. read more

Saw a sign for Starvin' Marvins on the way up into town after going to Moonshine Beach, and figured a buffet would be a better option than Joe's Crab Shack, since we had our kids with us. How can you go wrong with all you can eat seafood, right? The empty parking lot should've been the first clue that we should rethink our choice but we ignored it and went in anyway. We ordered the buffet for everyone and when we went up to get our food, discovered we'd agreed to pay for the saddest buffet ever. The selection of hot foods was incredibly slim. The only "seafood" they even had out was catfish. No fries, no mac and cheese, nothing you'd normally find on a buffet aimed towards families. My 8 year old daughter mentioned multiple times how disappointed she was that there was no shrimp on the buffet. (Even Golden Corral has shrimp, guys. Step your game up.) My husband, who can pack away food like no other, had half a plate and then said he was done. My human garbage disposal of a 2 year old only ate grape tomatoes. We paid our overpriced bill ($70 for 2 adults and 3 kids) and hightailed it out of there. read more

Decided to eat here after we finished shopping with the family. My parents and I had the seafood dinner buffet and 2lb crab legs while my brother had the rib sandwich off the menu. He said the fries were soggy, but he really enjoyed the huge sandwich. Everything off the buffet was okay. Nothing spectacular about it except the coconut shrimp. You can actually taste the coconut! The cocktail sauce was way too sweet for me, though. There seemed to be one server working in w busy section. She was very attentive, and I appreciated that. read more

This Starvin Marvin is awful.!!! Food way too salty. Waited an hour & 10 minutes on our food. We also had to put up with a little white dog of 1 of the other customers inside the restaurant. NOT a service animal!!! The server was extremely busy, but the kitchen was extremely slow!! Very disappointed! Yes, I have eaten at a different Starvin Marvin before & it was amazing. I don't recommend this restaurant due to the food & the extensive wait time on food! & having animals inside! I had the open faced pot roast, my family had gator tails, crawl fish boil, & a burger! That doesn't take an hour & 10 minutes! Server was nice, until we said something about the time & then she gave a HUGE attitude to my hubby. 3 times she said she didn't appreciate getting yelled at! Read reviews and decided to try anyway! The teens and hubby got the catifish plates and it was a lot of fresh catfish! Our waitress was nice and suggested that the girls share a,plate and add two pieces of fish for 4 bucks! Saved us money (was TOO much food lol). I got the buffet (not the crab legs). The crawfish was so spicy and good (love crawfish)..gumbo was so tasty and catfish was fresh! I will get the by one buffet, get one 1/2 off coupon (didn't see it until after!). This may have been a good place at one time, but our experience was horrible. I ordered the smothered chicken...the chicken is undescrible...tough, rubbery, no flavor. My baked potato was not done...and i had to use a ton of butter to make it edible. And the roll...well, butter didn't even help!! My opinion, this place's menu needs a makeover!! read more

Absolutely the worst buffet ever. All the seafood was over cooked. Salad dressing and tartar sauce made with cheap miracle whip. The scallops were not scallops. Absolutely a rip off. My daughter and her boyfriend's crab leg is pretty good, other daughter and my husband's buffet is good, but not with mine and my other daughter's food. It's taste like fake and burn my food. What to say? It was a standard -- dated -- a little bland. We both got the lunch buffet (at 2:15) and were reminded approx. five times that 'last call for lunch'. Now if that doesn't make you want to rush your lunch I don't know what will. The food was decent. We had been on the road and not eaten a real meal all day.... Save your time, money, and patience and eat elsewhere. This was the first time of my life that I didn't tip a server. It was that bad. We ordered the all you can eat crab legs for $35 each, and she brought one pan of crab. That was all. Sat there for over an hour trying to flag the server down. Nothing. Complained to management, who didn't believe us, and was only willing to take $15 off the check. This experience was horrible. We came here for my son's birthday. We ate here for Thanksgiving. Nice traditional meal on the buffet. I don't think it is overpriced, even on a normal day. And I don't get where the reviewer said it smelled. We have eaten here on more than one occasion and never had an issue. Maybe they aren't big seafood fans? Prices are a little high for the comfort food they serve. If you order from the menu it takes forever. Four of us ate multiple servings from the buffet and the baked tilapia still had not shown up. On the buffet the tomato soup was awful as was the fettuccine. The fettuccine was bitter. That was the only flavor it had. My family went there for lunch and we were pretty disappointed. We got there around 1 PM, and the buffet looked like it had been sitting for a while and not touched. I went up to get my son some food and decided not to even order the buffet. The menu left a lot to be desired, and after seeing the prices on the menu, and the quality of good on the buffet, I didn't want to order anything. We saw the buffet sign thinking there's our place! While there were not many in the parking lot...we should have taken that as our sign. Walking in, we noticed a musty smell and were seated by a nice waitress at a table where the A/C intake was dripping condensation in our food. The food was dumped out of a can, minimal choice and only one choice of seafood. We should have just left but joined in on the buffet bar. One plate we were out of there. Well, we thought we were.
