Nice find in Newtown. Had the kimchi chicken cheesesteak. First time I've ever had one like that. The kimchi mixed with the cheese and gave it a delicious tangy flavor. Definitely gonna get this the next time I'm in the area or I might have to try making it at home. Also had the fries which were good. Crispy on the outside, tender in the inside. Solid 4.5.

Bi Bim Bops (beef and Spicy Pork) and Kombucha on their (limited) outdoor seating. A great alternative from the everyday breakfast food.

A break from the everyday breakfast! Super friendly owner and staff. A great grab and go selection as well, but a little short on seating.

Jess and I really enjoyed our first visit here. First impressions were not exactly what we had in mind but it turned out to be better than expected. It is a cozy little restaurant with a few tables in the front window, a soda fountain, hot java and assorted single beverages in a fridge to the right. Those were all self serve Micha explained who is the owner all the way to the bus boy. She does it all and is very friendly and informative. I opted for three eggs, potatoes and turkey bacon while Jess got the oatmeal with fruit. Micha explained we could create any combo we would like. The food was right off the grill with my meal being delivered in a thick paper plate which I enjoyed and Jess' coming in a plastic bowl. We enjoyed the contrast. Their entire menu looks great and judging from the pictures we are going to have to come back for lunch to enjoy a cheesesteak and fries. Highly recommend!

Our server Max was attentive throughout, always making sure we were taken care of and waters full! We both had the burger and I'm not lying when I say it's one of the best burgers I've had. I normally ask for sauce or mayo but the burger was so juicy on its own it didn't need any sauce. It was cooked perfectly and all the toppings were fresh. We both opted for onion petals instead of fries which is definitely the move - make sure you get the chipotle aoli (thanks again, Max!) I washed it down with the strawberry basil bourbon smash which was wonderful. Everything was fantastic and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. So glad this spot is back up and thriving!

The tavern by that name is the latest version of a road house that has been serving patrons for far longer than a century. We stopped by for dinner this week and sat on the enclosed front porch overlooking Mill Creek Road and the actual mill. The ambiance reflects the history of the building, with a nice nod to modernity and comfort. Service was pleasantly efficient and we felt well attended. We order the Slammin' Salmon and the Wycombe Burger (medium) with Onion Petals. Both left something to be desired, leading to the final grade. My companion most enjoyed the broccoli side, but found the salmon tough and the baked potato mealy. She requested extra butter, but it did not improve the texture nor taste of the tater. My burger was several shades beyond the requested medium finish; far closer to well done. I liked the brioche roll and the lettuce, tomato and onion atop the puck, but they could not overcome the loss of juices and tenderness implied by a lighter finish. The onion petals were an interesting twist on the standard rings. A small improvement in kitchen quality control would go a long way to have the food enhance the otherwise excellent ambiance. 3.5 Stars

We order a starter and the Mahi Mahi. We were brought room temp water. There is no liquor license so we order soft drinks. They arrived in the can. We had to open them and pour them - again, no ice. We are told there is no Mahi Mahi but the waitress didn't know the name of the other fish on the menu? "The Branzino?" "YEAH!" The pumpkin soup was okay. French onion was quite good. The Branzino? Below average. Menu pic has the whole fish but we were served two small fillets. The asparagus was plain. That was it. The main course was placed as we were still eating the soups. We looked up and our server said...."Oh! You're not done? Well, I can clear your bowls or just leave these here!" With amazement, we asked for them to be left and we got to them after we were done with the soups. Had to ask for refills on water twice. Sorry to say that we aren't going back and we doubt this place will last. We had high hopes. $100 total for dinner which wasn't bad but very much not worth it. Hated writing this review but I read them for restaurants and appreciate honest reviews. This is one. Not recommending this place.
