We definitely ordered more than we could eat, but we wanted to try a lot of things. Highlights were the tuna tartar guacamole, rice, salmon, grilled veggies, mashed potatoes & ribeye. Brought my little sister here for dinner to celebrate her college graduation and to say farewell as she heads off to grad school. I had the red sangria, we shared the calamari, I ordered the Cajun pasta, and we split the molten cake with ice cream for dessert. I been here a few times but a first for a few of my friends. They were happy with their experience and I take full credit since I picked this place to celebrate a special friend's bday. They have both an outdoor and indoor seating, a long bar that offers to accommodate and welcome anyone who maybe present for a quick drink or stay for a meal. Whomever designed / decorated did an amazing job. They offer Happy Hour all day on Mondays and we took advantage of the starter menu and tried a few items from the cocktail menu. Came here for a friends bday on Monday (which is all day happy hourrrr!!) we got sat within a few minutes. The interior design is beautiful! So cute. Met friends here for a holiday dinner mostly because I used to like the Station 16 in midtown. The good part was the staff were all very nice and seemed to try their best but unfortunately, things fell a bit short of what I'd expect from a restaurant charging their prices. Started with some fried calamari, pretty good. Then a bowl of clam chowder, but came out lukewarm, I sent it back, lukewarm again! On the 3rd attempt finally got hot soup. Wow. My entree of blackened salmon was tasty and the rice was really good but the veggies it came with, broccoli, was undercooked and hard to chew. But I liked the dim lighting and comfortable booths. I also tried a few dishes from other family members, and they were all amazing except for the seafood spaghetti, which was a bit too salty. Food 4/5; the service was 5/5. The waitress checked on us to see if everything tasted good. When we mentioned that the spaghetti was very salty while everything else tasted perfect, she offered to have the kitchen remake the dish for us (which we did not expect at all), and it didn't take long. Beautiful remodel of an old sports bar. They turned it from trashy to classy! We went to the new Station 16 location (closed the old one in Midtown), and I was genuinely impressed. I loved the old one, but I'm more than willing to take a trip to Elk Grove for date night, girls night out, happy hour, birthday/anniversary celebrations, etc. Speaking of anniversaries, we went for ours a few weeks ago, and I indicated that on our Open Table reservation. We arrived right on time and still waited a few minutes. When the host seated us, she said,"Happy Anniversary!" which was kind and appreciated. They seated us at a table for 4, in the middle of the bar area, which even with the dim lighting and the elegant chandelier above, still felt too exposed and super casual. I thought it was an odd choice to seat a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary. There are nice booths along the wall which would've been better and provided more intimate seating. But I guess that was the only table available? Our server, as nice and polite as he was throughout the whole evening, didn't mention our anniversary or ask if we were celebrating anything special. Yes, I could've said something, but that info was known to the host, so I was a bit put off that it wasn't communicated to him. On the other hand, they do a whole birthday hoopla, so good place to come for your birthday (like half the room was that night). So I did feel slighted that they didn't do anything special for us, like other nice restaurants do. A complimentary dessert would've been a perfect end to our amazing meal. Anyways, the pricey ($18 and up) craft cocktails were nicely presented and strong. The smoked old fashion is IG-worthy (see vid). The French 75 is a beautiful drink, made with Empress gin, Prosecco, and glitter. The food was delicious. We started off with the calamari ($17) and the shrimp crostini. Calamari is perfectly fried and seasoned and served with a fire cocktail sauce. I could have eaten the entire plate of the succulent shrimp toasts. Flavor explosion in my mouth. My husband went with the ribeye and lobster (super reasonably priced at $59) that was tender, juicy, and grilled to what he asked for. I had the Cajun stew that was similar to cioppino, also very reasonably priced for the portion and amount of seafood. Fantastic Cajun flavor but not spicy. Definitely returning for the food and the drinks but maybe request a table in the main dining room, which looked elegant and sexy. Note: if you have 6 people and one of them is a newborn who won't be eating anything, you are still charged the 20% gratuity charge. Station 16 relocated from downtown to Elk Grove. I never tried the downtown location before. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and there is plenty of parking. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The ambiance is modern. For the food, I ordered the lobster Benedicts. I only got a bigger piece of toast with lobster on it. I was expecting English muffin style but it was served on artisan bread as it states in the menu. The crust was crispy on the toast. I don't like poached eggs so I substituted scrambled eggs instead. The dish also came with lettuce and tomatoes on the side you could add on top of your toast. There was a good amount of lobster on the toast and it was tender and not tough. The dish also came with a side of potatoes. The potatoes were very crisp and perfectly seasoned. They were my favorite part of the dish! The lobster Benedict was flavorful also. The only issues I had was that we waited for 30 minutes for the food and my food came out lukewarm. My friend's dish was hot but not mine. I don't know if my food was kept on the burner or not. After waiting 30 minutes for food, I would expect my food to be still hot. I was a little bit disappointed. My friend ordered the clam linguine and said her dish was good! Overall, the food was good and was a decent portion. I took the potatoes home for leftovers. Service was attentive but there was a long wait time and my food came out cold. In short: - nice ambiance - food a bit pricey - drinks hit or miss I met up with a few girlfriends here on August 30th to try this place out. We went early on a Saturday night around 5pm not thinking we needed a reservation since there was only 3 of us. But the place was already packed and booked for the night apparently so we sat at the bar. If it hadn't been 90+ degrees the day we went we would have sat outside. The restaurant is large and has indoor and outdoor seating with modern elevated fire pits outside. Inside the ambiance has ritzy vibes with dim lighting and a long bar area to your left. There are a lot of tables and booths with minimalist table lamps and Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Drinks: All the drinks looked so good I didn't know what to pick so I asked the bartender and she recommended I do the passion lemon drop sub raspberry purée instead of passion fruit purée, so I tried that. The presentation was beautiful but a the consistency of the drink was too thick for me ( reminded me of a smoothie) and the flavor didn't hit for me. My friend ordered a Tidal Wave cocktail which had a nice blue hue and tasted decent but not good enough for me to want a whole one lol. My other friend ordered an espresso martini which looked dreamy with chocolate sauce down the sides- I didn't try it since I don't do well with caffeine. She also ordered a second drink later, a Lychee cocktail which actually had a good flavor haha. I thought about ordering one of those. Guess I should have since it was def the best of the bunch! When a new bartender took over I ended up asking him to make me a new drink and he obliged no problem. He made me something lighter and drinkable lol but I have no idea what it was because I don't see it in the menu. Food: The girls ordered a calamari appetizer, which was good and came with cocktail sauce and a lemon dipping sauce I liked. I ordered the Shrimp salad, which was pretty good but a small serving for $22. All I remember is lettuce, bits of carrot and a little feta cheese and some good sized shrimp that were seasoned well, like a light Cajun vibe. My friends both ordered the Lobster mac & cheese $31 and really enjoyed it. I did get to taste the pasta and it was creamy and delicious with a good amount of cheese. I left the lobster for them since they payed a pretty penny for it. They did say it came with a good amount of lobster, so that's good. These are the best garlic noodles I've had in town, and I'm having a hard time thinking of a place even in the bay that hit the spot like this. I try the seafood-style garlic noodles wherever I find them, and I am often disappointed by the amount of acrid, cheap garlic flavor. I am a fan of garlic, but spoonfuls of "jarlic" are not my jam. This was laden with the same roasted/confit garlic that was on the shrimp platter, and I am OBSESSED. -Shrimp Scampi - 3/5 --Good! Not super remarkable, but good. Probably would not try it again , as there are a lot of other things on the menu I'd get again first. -Garlic Bread - 3/5 --It's hard to mess up garlic bread. It was a good vessel to scoop up the extra garlic. Would order again if I got something that needed a scooping vessel. -Drinks - 5/5 --bonus points for the killer happy hour deal.
