I've never heard of rosemary infused with coffee before - What a unique combo! I loved the rosemary latte. The rosemary had a strong presence and paired pleasantly well with coffee! A worker heated up my jalapeno croissant and brought it (and my drink) to my table. The crust was hot and a bit hard. The filling with a cube of cream cheese and small strip of bacon was cold. I love croissants, but this one was disappointing. During my visit, staff placed out food and drink samples. I tried the lavender lemonade, and it tasted great minus being too sweet. The parking lot is oddly shaped, but doable. The cafe sits in a corner of a small plaza and has a clean interior. The display case holds yummy looking pastries. No way this place deserves five stars -- their rating system must be broken. The restaurant is run by literal children with no experience and terrible time management. I was the only customer and ordered a premade meal that just needed to be heated. Ten minutes later they told me they were out of it. Why not tell me right away? Nice quaint family owned small business which I always love to support. The food selections were all original and delicious. We could tell that the bread is fresh baked. The staff were very kind and efficient. We are not locals and we found the place on Yelp. It was the first one to pop up that looked appealing. Parking was easy. There is seating inside and outside. First time here! I ordered the Rose latte which was good. There were definitely some unique options on the menu that sounded intriguing. Small place but had seating inside if you wanted to work. The only odd thing was the menu said a 12oz rose latte was $5.50 but I think I was charged an additional dollar for the rose syrup, which isn't what the menu said which is slightly deceiving, but I didn't question it. read more

Found this eatery on Yelp as we're driving to our port from Huntington Beach. Chose it cuz it had 5 stars and by jiminy what a find! Very posh black and white interior with cool art on the wall and witty saying block on the counter. I was drawn to their glass cased pastries: decadent! The hazelnut twist was calling to me. This was my first time trying, and while I don't usually do too many cafes for their limited or lack thereof food options, Steadfast has something for everyone. I was recommended the two breakfast items I selected: the Breakfast Sando and Honey Vanilla Cinnamon latte; they were a perfect pair. The coffee itself must've been one of the best I've had in awhile. The regular sized coffee was not enough for how good it tasted, so I got a free refill of drip coffee before I left. I feel bad as I know this is a new business. But I have to give honest feedback and I do hope they make some changes. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I orders the lavender lemonade which was pretty good. Then we orders the breakfast sandwiches one on an everything bagel and they other on a croissant. We also order a chocolate croissant and turkey sandwich. Breakfast sandwiches... the egg was so dry and maybe microwaved even? The bagel was so dense it was like a school project. No flavor and just hard. The croissants on breakfast sandwich and chocolate one were over cooked just dry and flaky it was a mess. The turkey sandwich on country sourdough was just mostly bread. There is so much to love about this new cafe! First of all, customer service is top notch! Honestly everyone there was kind, asked my name, and had a small conversation. So friendly and different from other businesses. I even met the owner! You can tell he is passionate about his new coffee shop. Next, the drink menu is amazing. So many options I wanted to try! I opted for the rosemary latte. It's absolutely delicious. I love that it isn't a sweet drink but adds a subtle flavor over a plain latte. Food! Here's where I got even more excited!! They have some pastries from Blackmarket Bakery, which is one of my favorite small businesses in Costa Mesa! I've been wanting to come here because I have heard such great things from friend. I love supporting local small business in HB. Cute shop tucked into the same shopping center as Donuttery. Parking is a challenge especially since today there was a large semi truck parked in the Salvation Army next door. My gf and I were greeted by Brad. I've been to this cafe a few times and every time I am greeted by the kind staff, eager to help with any questions or recommendations. I recently had their breakfast sando on sourdough bread, and it was amazing! The sandwich is paired with a sriracha mayo dip and it just melts in your mouth with every bite. Their avocado toast and scones are also very tasty. I recommend trying their iced flavored lattes. I enjoyed the brown sugar latte the most. It had also been microwaved so the bread was a bit soggy and the portion was a bit smaller than a costco croissant. The matcha lavender is reminiscent of the Starbucks lavender matcha just a bit clumpier in texture with very cheap tasting powder. The food was served in a takeout box despite request for dine in. It appears to be a family-run business, with mom and pop in the kitchen and the rest of the family taking orders, though I could be wrong--my apologies for assuming (another compliment here). Everyone is calm, kind, and genuinely attentive to customers. Above all, their food is truly delicious. This place offers a whole new level of breakfast compared to many others doing the "same" thing. They also provide innovative options like unique toasts and sandwiches, all presented elegantly and with a delicate touch. Portions aren't oversized like typical American servings, which I personally appreciate (yet another compliment)--quality over quantity. Their pastries come from another bakery, but they're still very good. We tried the breakfast sandwich, the chocolate raspberry scone, the guava cheese Danish, and the honey vanilla cinnamon latte--all popular items, and I can see why.
