This is a lovely coffee shop and cafe next to the historic Lafayette Hotel in downtown Long Beach (Broadway & Linden). We learned, from the owner, that they have another location in HB and that this is their second location. They offer a full complement of interesting espresso beverages, as well as pastries and prepared foods for breakfast and lunch. Seating is available inside and outside on the tranquil tree lined street. It was just so pleasant and relaxing to enjoy our coffee here this morning. I did try the rosemary latte and it was delicious!

The place is cute and clean, the food was good even though it was pricey with no side with any of their sandwiches. The drinks tasted okay with a better presentation than taste. The staff was very friendly and polite and they answered all of my questions. My recommendation would be to add a side to their meals or lower their prices to stay in business.

    Super cute.

Super cozy, earthy cafe in Long Beach has a warm welcoming vibe. It's a vibey spot to grab a quick coffee and enjoy a peaceful walk down Broadway towards the beach. (Love this part of Long Beach) While I was out running errands, I decided to stop by and treat myself. I had a honey vanilla cinnamon latte--absolutely delightful--and a breakfast Sando to go. :) I truly enjoyed my visit and would happily return again. It's a place that feels warm and inviting. Service was fast & wonderful.

I sometimes house-sit on weekends in Long Beach and randomly came across this spot on DoorDash, so I decided to give it a try. Honestly, I almost wish I hadn't--because now I'm completely hooked. The coffee is perfect--sweet and creamy, exactly how I like it. And the "Next Level Breakfast Sando" truly lives up to its name. It's seriously next level. My only downside is the price--it comes out to about $37 before tip, which adds up fast. But it's so good that I'll definitely keep treating myself to it every now and then.

Stopped by Steadfast Café with my 2-year-old and really liked it here. I got the banana toast, strawberry banana smoothie, next level breakfast sando, and a hot chocolate. Everything was solid. The food was fresh, the smoothie was perfect, and the hot chocolate was really good too. The place is clean, has a nice vibe, and the staff were super friendly. It's also a comfortable spot to sit and relax with a kiddo. Update: Ordered delivery this time for me and my spouse, and it was just as good as dining in. We got the breakfast sando, lavender latte, and sweet toast -- everything arrived fresh, warm, and really well-packed. The presentation was impressive for delivery, nothing messy or soggy, just clean and perfectly put together. My spouse was super happy with it too, especially the lavender latte and the sweet toast. You can tell they take care with their packaging and quality even for takeout orders.

Stopped by for a latte while out with my dog, and the staff surprised us with a complimentary pup cup, which absolutely made our visit. The latte was good, but the pup cup was definitely the highlight! The café has a cozy atmosphere, stylish décor, and a welcoming vibe that makes it a nice place to relax. Everyone working there was friendly and genuinely kind. I didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but the smells coming out of the kitchen sgreat, so I'll definitely be back to give it a try. Looking forward to my next visit!

Stopped off here as it was nearby my hotel and grabbed a cup of coffee and a croissant sandwich. Called a sando. Food is pretty good the service was pretty quick and the atmosphere is pretty airy.

Stopped by Steadfast Coffee and loved it. The white mocha was perfectly balanced--not too sweet--and the lox bagel was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient, which always makes the experience better. Definitely a solid spot for great coffee and bites. Will be back!

Lovely paintings the owner's daughter made.

Friendly and down-to-earth neighborhood cafe. Lovely ambiance and good variety of food/drinks to choose from. Stopped by to check out the place before my haircut across the street at Dapper & Dames. I have been to this location when it was a boba tea place, which was nice too. Feel like this place will actually stick longer than any of the other establishments that have been in this location. I ordered their pomegranate tea and an everything bagel. Sat outside to eat/drink. Grabbed an Acai bowl to bring to Zoe and Karla so they can eat in between haircuts. Will be back with my computer to work and hang out (and have food and drinks too, of course)!

Matcha was delicious ! It was one of their specials. I ordered the avocado toast w scrambled eggs as well as an almond croissant. So good! Everything tasted great. Service was wonderful; kind, quick, and calm. Interior had some seating, cute decor and relaxed vibe.

This is my gf and she loves pictures

This place is nice. It took mad long to get our food but I got the breakfast sando with the croissant m...was mad good it might be top 10 or 11 sandwiches I ever had. I'm not a big coffee guy so I don't even really know too much about coffee but it tasted fine my girlfriend said it was really good. I'm not even drunk or hung over or anything like that and the sandwich just really hit the spot and it was just like a really good experience overall and they were all really nice no one said anything mean so shout out to this place five stars

Super good coffee, food, and employees! I got the next level breakfast sandwich on multigrain bread and it was so delicious! For coffee just a black drip which was good too! They turn their music up to set the vibe and it's a great place! Will be back again when in town :)

We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. The line was long, but it moved efficiently to the cashier, and like always, the food was great. The only issue I had was the group of ladies arguing with the supervisor about their seating arrangement. So I'm not sure why they decided to grace the outdoor seating area with an encore performance of "What I would have done if I were the manager" for the next 20 minutes. I understand that the table felt wronged, and everyone has the right to voice their concerns. But at some point, the nonstop complaining only disrupted the experience of the other customers trying to enjoy their Saturday brunch. As for us, we had another great experience. Everything feels clean, classy and thoughtfully put together. When you first arrive, seeing the line out the door can be a little intimidating. Usually at places like this, I feel like I have to fight for my life to find a table, but thankfully that wasn't the case here. The staff was very kind and asks how many are in your party and helps you get a table, which made everything much less stressful. They also give you menus while you wait so you can decide what you want ahead of time. We arrived at 10:30am and our wait was about 30 minutes so by the time we were able to order at 11am, the lunch menu was also available. I ordered the tater tots, Cinnagave Shaken Espresso, Dutch Baby Pancake and country sourdough toast with jam. With tax and tip, my total came out to around $40. It's definitely pricier than what I normally pay for breakfast. Most entrées range from $17-$34 and coffees are around $5-$10, so you can easily spend $30+ for one person. In these hard times, that's not exactly ideal for me. I also wanted to try a pastry to get the full experience, but when I found out the small blackberry danish was $7, I decided to pass. I just couldn't justify getting that close to $50 for breakfast for one person. Now for the food! The country sourdough toast with jam was actually my favorite item. The homemade sourdough was incredible and honestly deserves its roses. It sounds like such a simple thing, but it was so well done and easily the standout for me. Visually, the Dutch Baby Pancake was beautiful and definitely impressive when it came out. I've always wanted to try one, so I was excited! I will say, I've read everywhere that Dutch babies are supposed to have more of a custardy center and even the photos I've seen look that way. Mine didn't really have that texture at all and tasted more like a crepe. Maybe it was a little overcooked? It wasn't bad, just not quite what I expected. Still delicious! Unfortunately, the tater tots were the biggest disappointment. They weren't crispy, didn't taste seasoned and sort of fell apart until they became one big potato mess. My cousins and I ended up not finishing them. One of my cousins ordered the summer peach and corn salad, which she liked! Just a heads-up that it's only available after 11 a.m. My other cousin got the skillet, she mentioned feeling a little disappointed since it tasted a little dry and didn't finish her plate. However they both ordered the Curious George drink and LOVED it! The Cinnagave Shaken Espresso was also fantastic. Coffee is definitely something they do very well here and I can see myself getting again. Overall, the aesthetics are adorable and I could see this being a great date spot. The coffee was fantastic, the sourdough was amazing, but the rest of the food was just okay for us. That was a little disappointing because everything sounds SO good on paper. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. The prices are probably the biggest thing holding me back from coming back regularly. Spending $30-$40+ per person for breakfast isn't really in my budget right now, but if this is within your price range, you may have a completely different experience. When I review a place, I try to take the overall experience, personal taste and effort into account. For now, I'm leaving Zuzu's Petals at 4 stars because the effort is definitely there, and what isn't my cup of tea may be someone else's liquid gold. I'd still give them another chance in the future... after I get paid!

The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

He went into the kitchen for fresh berries, muddled them with Tito's and soda, and made a genuinely refreshing summertime drink that helped with the heat...! I eventually ordered the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari to eat as my main (I was dining alone). I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.
