I want to update my review because my last one was from years ago. I went last night for a girl's night and we had an interesting experience. For starters, they couldn't find our reservation and the lady up front was extremely rude to my friend. She told us she could add us to the long wait list, but we already had made reservations a week prior. After conversations back and forth we finally got our table. It was frustrating. When we got to our table, our server raquelle (idk how to spell her name) was interesting. She was nice at first, but at a certain point I'm not sure what we did wrong because she was so cold and would not give us the time of day? We ordered a bunch of sides, and a 12 oz halal steak. We then added another 12oz steak after discussing how 1 might not be enough for us. When I asked for her to add it on her attitude was a bit much. It made our experience awkward and not pleasant how it usually is. The food was good, no complaints there but the service really got to us. Then when it was time to pay it took 20 mins for her to get the bill and bring our card back. Idk she looked like she wanted us out so we left. Not our best experience at steak 48. We usually have the best service so that was disappointing.
F-A-N-C-Y Fancy folk, fancy cars (both revving in and away), fancy place, fancy yet delicious food. But F-A-N-C-Y. Like almost every patron here is putting on a show to go out to eat. Boobs out, jewelry sparkling, dressed to the 9s. For good reason, of course, because this is Steak 48. I had read a very apt article that this is the place to be and be seen and it was spot on. I'm not sure why it's like that but if you don't like that, you might want to pick another spot. But I chose Steak 48 because of all the great reviews and took 3 clients out last night and had a 'good' experience but not 'great'. And that's just based on the dining experience itself. Man, I really wanted to give this place 5 stars for the food and service but while the food was pretty darn delicious, the service really fell short midway through the meal. Like, our waiter just disappeared. Maybe the 7 employees at the entrance to greet and say goodbye to you could have stepped in to clear my plate or ask if we wanted another bottle of wine, an after dinner drink or even dessert (we weren't offered dessert but a few small crunchy chocolate chip cookies like you can find in the supermarket). Anyway, I'm just a little bitter about the service because our waiter was a nice man and very attentive at first but just darn ghosted us and this was a client dinner at a very fancy place and it should have been perfect. Now, as far as the food is concerned, like I mentioned, it was some of the best tasting grub I've had at a steakhouse. To start, we ordered six oysters ($33) that came with a ridiculous variety of dipping sauces in addition to horseradish and cocktail sauce. I did appreciate the multitude of dipping options but it did seem, well, over the top, which this place certainly is. The oysters were on the small side but tasty. We also had the Calamari ($27), Crispy Deviled Eggs ($24) and the Pork Belly ($24). The Calamari and the Pork Belly were the standouts for me and very nice. I liked the fried chilies with the Calamari and the flavor of the pork belly. The deviled eggs were just kind of standard topped with a small fried shrimp. They were good...I mean, who doesn't like a deviled egg? But they were average and nothing different than if you made 'em yourself, well, and added a fried shrimp on top. My pre-dinner cocktail was the El Tesoro Old Fashioned ($22) which our waiter recommended and it was fantastic. Even though it's made with tequila, it tasted more like an Old Fashioned and exactly what I was looking for. For dinner, I had the Bone-In Ribeye ($85) cooked rare and after being so underwhelmed at steakhouses considering my wife and I make fantastic steaks at home for much much less, this one actually impressed me. The char on the outside and the flavor of the ribeye was excellent. It was cooked perfectly. I did order the truffle butter ($9) for the table but I was the only one who tried it. It was good but not necessary. My clients ordered a Bone-In Strip ($82), the 12 oz. Filet ($82) and a Bone-In Ribeye as well and all enjoyed them as well. Sides: Au Gratin Potatoes ($24), Crab & Shrimp Mac ($52), Corn Brulee ($21) and the Creamed Spinach and Artichoke ($18). Of all of these, I feel we could have skipped the Au Gratin Potatoes which were actually recommended by the waiter. They were good but not amazing as the other sides were. The Mac was fantastic as was the Creamed Spinach and I enjoyed the addition of the artichoke but I couldn't actually see the pieces in there. The corn brulee....well, that was SICK. So good, almost like a dessert and bruleed on top...really a wonderful dish. Service was impeccable at the beginning of the meal and the army of staff are super quick to clear your plates and sometimes before you're done with them but that didn't bother me too much. What did bother me was that our bottle of wine was not delivered until we were well into eating our steaks (and I had to remind a server for it) and being completely being ghosted for 30 minutes after our meal. After dinner drinks and dessert were not offered. For a place like this and at such a high price point, man, well, things like that just shouldn't happen. I'm even considering taking two whole stars off for the service but I'll be nice and just remove one because I was satisfied with the food. Based on this experience, however, I would not recommend Steak 48. There are plenty of other options in town for a good steak with stellar service.
I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday dinner at Steak 48. The ambiance was beautiful and upscale without feeling stuffy. I especially loved that we were seated at a standard table rather than a high top, which made the experience feel more relaxed and comfortable for a longer dinner. Our waiter was incredibly kind and very attentive throughout the evening. The only small note is that the specials were delivered a bit quickly, but that was minor in the grand scheme of things. The cherry on top was receiving both a handwritten birthday card and a birthday dessert, which was such a thoughtful and sweet touch and truly made the night feel special. Everything we ordered was outstanding. We had the deviled eggs, wedge salad, NY strip, shells and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potato praline mash. Every dish came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. My friend also really enjoyed her blackberry bourbon. Overall, Steak 48 delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Great food, wonderful service, and a celebratory atmosphere made this a perfect birthday dinner. I would absolutely return.
Steak 48 is consistently good. The service is amazing; every time. The steak always melts in your mouth... The sides are delectable. And the drinks are good and strong. This is one of my favorite steakhouses and I am a steak girly. Steak 48 is top two for me. The ambience is fine, dining, low-lit vibes. My only complaint is their parking situation. It's valet, street parking which is paid, or there's a garage behind the restaurant. I usually valet, but sometimes the line to valet is really long and that's annoying. Other than that once you're inside, no complaints.
I'm still drooling over the crab cakes and it's been days since my last visit!!!!! Let's start with the customer service, which was absolutely stellar! The recommendations, the patience and smiles were truly top tier! There is an upstairs and downstairs. We were upstairs and the area is beautiful. There is a bar up there too. I had a highly recommended Chardonnay and it was delicious. On to the food. I started out with my love for the crab cakes and yes!!! They are just that good! Oh and the blue cheese salad was EVERYTHING! I can't get over how big the bacon bits were. My husband had the NY strip and he was full as a tick! We shared the brussel sprouts, cream corn and Au gratin potatoes. YUM! I cannot recommend Steak 48 enough! I was blown away by the quality of the food we received and the top notch service. I can't wait to go back!!!
We dined at Steak 48 for our Thanksgiving. We had a lovely experience. The ambience is so luxurious and warm. The waiter was very thorough on explaining the menu and specials. The options for steak is the largest selection you will find in Texas. We went all out and ordered h the 46oz bone-in wagu tomahawk. It was easily shareable with 4 people after the rolls and a couple sides. We ordered the macaroni and it was amazingly cheesy. We would definitely visit again and try their dry aged ribeye. My husband and I visit Texas restaurants with dry aged steaks and like to compare. I'd love to see how Steak 48 ranks!
This was my very first time at Steak 48, and we went with some of our work partners -- honestly, it was an experience from start to finish. Arrival & Atmosphere Parking was easy, and they offer valet if you prefer. When we walked inside, we grabbed a few drinks at the bar before heading upstairs. The ambiance is low-lit, intimate, and very personal -- perfect for a nice dinner or a business outing. Service The service was truly amazing. Every person who brought something out explained what it was, how it was prepared, and made sure we were taken care of. Our server, Angie, was phenomenal -- super knowledgeable, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations. After every course, they even brought out warm lavender towels, which made the whole experience feel even more elevated. Drinks I ordered an espresso martini with tequila (Angie's recommendation), and it was one of the best I've had. The table also ordered margaritas and wine -- they have a pretty extensive wine list! Appetizers * Chef's Cut Hanging Bacon -- Listen... GET. THE. BACON. It was absolutely phenomenal. Tasted like steak. Probably the highlight of the appetizers. * Chicken Fried Lobster Tail -- The batter was incredible, super flavorful and crispy. The lobster itself was okay, so overall I'd give it a 7/10. * Bread Service -- Surprisingly delicious. Soft, warm, and honestly memorable. Entrées Of course, we had steaks, and they were cooked perfectly. The garlic sauce they serve with it is packed with flavor. Sides We ordered a lot, and they were all impressive: * Sautéed Wild Mushrooms -- So flavorful, probably one of my favorite sides. * Brussels Sprouts -- Delicious. * Whipped Praline Sweet Potatoes -- Amazing. * Creamed Spinach & Artichoke -- So good. * Chef Omar's Au Gratin Potatoes -- These come in little lasagna-like squares and were amazing. * Corn Crème Brûlée -- Not everyone's favorite, but some at the table really enjoyed it. Everything came out beautifully plated, well-seasoned, and super flavorful. They also packed everything to-go perfectly at the end of the meal. Overall I'm usually skeptical because restaurants with this kind of reputation can sometimes be overhyped... but Steak 48 lived up to every bit of it. The quality, the flavors, the service, the experience -- everything was worth it. I would absolutely go back, and I highly recommend it -- especially the bacon and the sides!!
Not a stranger to steak 48 live in the galleria area ..just my first review celebrated my nephews bday here was his first time as well as a few other guest first time... valet quick and easy even at the highest peak times. We had reservations everything was ready to go when arrived. Seated us right away . Love the ambiance per usual. Friendly staff. Good service . Food everyone absolutely loved their dishes. Only hang up I had about the food were the meatballs which happen to be what I ordered ..... they come naked with marinara sauce on the side to me very dry not juicy as I'm sure could be . I tried ordering the melted blue cheese to give taste I was able to eat 1. I doubt I would order it again unless they introduce a whole new recipe for it.aside from the meatballs, eveything else was delightful. One other detail when packaging food to go seemed a bit messy. Server (different guy from waiter ) handling the food just sort of dumping the food inside. Of course still will be back. It's steak 48 :)
Good Service There's a lot of hype around this place and while it was good, I'd say it's just okay overall. Definitely not the best steakhouse I've been to but the ambiance and service were exceptional. The Old Fashioned was made really well and I especially enjoyed the crab cake. Our server went above and beyond, even taking the time to show us different areas of the restaurant, which was a nice touch. This was my second visit, we came to celebrate a friend's birthday and the place was elegant, clean and perfect for a special occasion.
I made reservations, arrived 30 minutes early, and was seated right away. This is a very posh restaurant. The music was a great mixture of songs most people would like. I ordered the calamari and ribeye with the chefs potato au gratin. The steak was popping hot!!! I like it this way. It was delicious. The calamari was really fresh. The potatoes, were very creamy. When I am back in Houston, this steak house will be on the top of my list.
Steak 48 Houston was fantastic for my husband's birthday. Service was spot‑on as always -- our server checked in just enough, and the whole team made the night feel special. I started with their Old Fashioned (excellent), and the chicken‑fried lobster was crispy and delicious with that aioli. My filet mignon was perfectly tender, and those warm rolls are impossible to resist. We shared the Brussels sprouts and au gratin potatoes, both great choices, and enjoyed a glass of Belle Glos Pinot Noir. We finished with the warm caramel vanilla cake -- amazing. The ambiance was perfect too, with the Galleria skyline at sunset and a great mix of 70s/80s R&B and rock. We both had a perfect evening.

After living in Houston for so long, I'm surprised it took me this long to visit Steak 48. I had an amazing time. The food was great. The service was great. The dinner rolls brought to me when I sat down were so pillowy. I knew better than to fall for that trap though and only had one. For drinks I only had one and decided to try the River Oaks Rita. It was ok but I did have them rim the glass with Tajin which helped kick it up a notch. Next up were the Crispy Shrimp deviled eggs followed by the pork chops with the au gratin potatoes. Whew!!! My stomach found new meaning in its life!!! The pork chops appeared small but somehow two of them were enough and I had to get up from the table to walk around I left satisfied and can't wait to go back for more of the menu. read more
This place was sooo good! I didn't get the chance to take adequate photos since I was at a work dinner, but it was seriously amazing. The ambiance was dark and elegant. My favorite appetizer was the burrata with a tomato jam and some crispy crostinis. The combination of the sweet with the cheese was very pleasant it just needed a bit of a salt. Appetizers: 8/10 I got the roasted beet salad which is one of my favorite salads and the beets were cooked well and the goat cheese was really good but the dish was a bit too acidic for my taste 8.5/10 The steak was absolutely amazing! Definitely 10/10. It melted in your mouth and was so tender and very well seasoned. Not to mention the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts paired really well with it. The mashed potatoes were perfect and more of a purée but I still really liked them a lot. I recommend this place and advise people to dress up but don't worry too much about the dress code. A lot of the reviewers got made about people not adhering to the dress code, but the food and service/ambiance should be the focus of the restaurant. read more

I had such a great time at Steak 48! Our server, Krystal, was amazing--super attentive, easy to talk to, and just made the whole experience really enjoyable. We ended up chatting quite a bit throughout the night, which made it feel even more personal. It was pretty busy around 9:30pm, but Krystal still went above and beyond. She had Tina take a few photos of me at the restaurant, and they didn't stop until we got some great ones. Such a thoughtful touch! I had the petite filet mignon with sweet corn and the whipped praline sweet potato--everything was delicious. Krystal even surprised us with a complimentary treat, which was a really nice gesture. My date has been to Steak 44 in Scottsdale, and I've dined at Steak 48 in Charlotte a few times--this Houston location definitely held its own. From the attentive service, beautiful decor, and signature dishes it's always a good time. This particular night we were celebrating job promotions and a birthday. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent too. Everything looked amazing. Our server was Marquest he recommended basically all our plates and we feel in love with all of it. Our other two servers were very nice too! We had a minor inconvenience and the servers were very hospitable as well as generous in helping to solve it. We will definitely be coming again! Steak 48 was everythingggg!!! I enjoyed every aspect of this restaurant. My fiancé and I decided to celebrate our birthdays here with a nice intimate dinner. Of course valet parking was available, which made parking very easy. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and had to pass by the kitchen to get to our table. The kitchen has glass windows, which allows you to see the staff preparing the food. I thought this was a very unique and interesting aspect for a restaurant. We were offered complementary bread and water to start the night. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal! She really made us feel special as we celebrated our recent engagement and our birthdays. The food did not disappoint at all. We ordered the deviled eggs with shrimp for an appetizer which we both enjoyed. I ordered the crabcakes for my entrée. These were probably the best crabcakes I've ever eaten from a restaurant. I also ordered the crème brûlée corn which was also absolutely amazing. Overall, I was very impressed with the flavor and decent portion sizes. We ended the night with our choice of dessert and a glass of complementary champagne to celebrate. Steak 48 for the WIN. We started our evening around the corner at a different spot - after a disappointing cocktail experience - I convinced my sweet gentlemen to walk around to Steak48 with me in hopes that I could redeem myself for talking him into a fancy date night. We snagged two seats at the bar. Mauricio greeted us and was amazing as usual! The stone fruit martini never disappoints - he loved his old fashioned and aggreed with the that their crispy chili shrimp was the best in the city. Thank you for saving date night! read more

I've eaten at my fair share of steakhouses and this one definitely takes the cake. Walking in, door is opened for you and you're greeted promptly by the hostess, there's candles that have a clean yet slightly masculine scent. There's also butcher cleavers artfully mounted in the wall. Although our reservation was later, we were able to be seated since it wasn't too busy for a weekday. Upon seating, we had our water glasses promptly filled and they asked if we'd be having red/white wine to ensure we had our proper drinking glasses. Michelle A. was such a friendly and thorough server. She explained the drink menu first, gave us her suggestions and provided tasters if we were split between which wines to decide on. I settled for a malbec, the pour was great. She also asked us if we wanted a little tour since it was asked what kind of dining spaces were available, she took us passed the raw bar, showed us around the bar, the surrounding seating areas and back to our table. We were recommended to have the beet salad, it was divine. Red and golden beets with arugula and roasted pistachios lightly dressed in a bright vinaigrette, what a great way to start the meal. I also had a 12 oz grass fed NY strip cooked medium rare with crispy shrimp on the side - 10/10 would order again. Steak cooked to perfection and the crispy shrimp was such a good add in. The au gratin potatoes were sliced so thin they practically melted together, the creamed corn was a wonderful recommendation. Sweet, with a brûlée on top for a crackly crunch and so rich. I was barely able to complete 1/2 of my meal, wanted to save room for dessert (yay leftovers). The warm vanilla cake with gelato was amazingly delicious, large enough to share. Everything you'd want, rich warm cake with creamy delicious gelato. One of the best meals I've had in Houston, the vibes and my company was great too. read more

My husband and I have been wanting to try Steak 48 for awhile but it just hasn't fit into the schedule until we went on Valentine's Day. We knew it would be packed so we decided to eat somewhere else even though we've been dying to try their food menu. This was just a drink stop. To start with, the vibe here is great. Very upbeat and the people watching is fun. There was little hope to find a seat at the bar and all the tables looked like they were reserved which was to be expected but out of nowhere came Arianna who said she'd be happy to help us out. We were able to find a table near the bar with perfect view. Arianna was also our server and I would give her 5-stars alone just for how awesome she was. She was slammed but still took the time to chat and ask us if she could help since it was our first time. It's not common in this industry to find someone who is just warm and really cool. We'll return to places just for that experience since most high end restaurants tend to be a bit robotic. My husband immediately eyed the Cakebread Chardonnay and was all-in on that since it's his favorite white and hard to find by the glass. By the way, the pours here are some of the best we have seen in Houston. That doesn't go unnoticed. He followed it up with a ZD and then a Rombauer so we jumped in the pool with both feet and were feeling it. I got the Pomegranate Blood Orange Martini which was great. Not overwhelming and very well balanced. I then went with a Dirty Martini which is my favorite and they did it very well. We had a fantastic experience and will be back for sure. read more

Steak 48 has been added into our rotation of great date night restaurants. The service is impeccable and the food was amazing. We started with the hanging bacon. We made it through two pieces before we had to box the rest up to take home to save room for dinner. We both ordered the 12 ounce filet and it was fantastic. I ordered a side of truffle butter and my husband opted to add shrimp to his steak. They were cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. For sides, we shared the hasselback potatoes and the cream corn brûlée. We would definitely order the steaks and sides again. We finished with the vanilla caramel cake and it was divine. read more

Went to Steak 48 Beverly Hills to celebrate my birthday after a less than memorable experience at another restaurant on my actual birth date. First of all this experience was phenomenal. Zora was beyond incredible. She made this entire dinner experience a night to remember. Thank you so much Zora for making us feel seen and for a night I will not forget. First and foremost, thank you Ashley for getting us a table for 10 during OTC. At first the host said you all didn't have room. I talked to Ashely and she got us in.! So thank you for that as we all really enjoyed it! Food: the appetizers were amazing! The deviled eggs are so dam good! The bread they bring out is good too. The meatballs were Excellent! I was getting real full by time our main course came. Also how could I forget about the wedge salad. Top notch like pimp C said. The bone in ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection. Full of flavor and just amazing. The sides, my god, the best whipped potato's and Mac and cheese I've ever had. Really enjoyed the meal. The dessert. The Oreo pop corn sundae lol. My god. It was so good too. I wish they would have told us they bring out cookies after. I could have just ate a dozen of those as dessert. Top notch spot. I'll definitely be back asap. Decor: I really enjoyed the look. Also it wasn't as loud as other steakhouses so I appreciated that a lot. I'll be back soon. Easy five star review. read more

Loved this place! We went for a birthday and started off with a hand written note from the manager which was so thoughtful. Our server was great, super knowledgeable about allergies (one of us is GF) and the whole menu is marked so it's super easy to order! Also loved my cocktail, got the California citrus martini and it was amazing and they refilled me directly from the shaker which I loved! Food was delicious and loved the vibes, only giving 4 stars because of the price... it's pricey but worth it! read more

I had such a great dinner last night at Steak 48. As we checked in for our reservation we were seated immediately. All Of the staff were kind and greeted us as we walked through the restaurant. We were seated in a nice, quiet, intimate area of the restaurant. I'm assuming that is where people who are celebrating an occasion goes bc everyone in there was, including me. Our waiter was so friendly and spoke to the menu well. All of our food and drinks came out in a timely fashion. The portions are so big, even the entres are enough to share. We have alot of food brought home lol. I was gifted a complementary dessert for my bday (caramel cake) it was soooo delicious!!! Everything was 10/10. This afternoon, the restaurant called to check on us and ask about our experience, which was so thoughtful. I cannot wait to visit steak 48 again. :) read more
I went to Steak 48 during my Spring Break, and it did not disappoint! This restaurant is across from the Westin Hotel, and is also close to the stadium where the Astros play. Dress code: Business Casual, with emphasis on dinner jackets and upscale attire for patrons Ambiance: Dimly lit, great date spot, wine cellar has a slew of wine/brew selections (basement of restaurant) Food: Steak is the restaurant's main attraction, and the restaurant takes pride in using local farmers and aging processes to serve the best cuts of meats Service: Impeccable--you will have at least one to two waiters/waitresses assigned to you for any need, including cutlery replacement and tablecloth recovery. Main entrees are usually a ten to fifteen minute wait, while appetizers usually take about five to ten minutes to be served. Highlights: Rolls, 45 day aged steak, and wine selection Tab: $$$ (expect your total bill to be between $200-$300, a range that's pretty economical in the Houston area and for their commodity of beef) Go with friends, your loved one, or for certain holidays! Best steakhouse in Houston period! We went there to celebrate our anniversary and felt very special from the time we walked in to the last minutes of walking out. We loved everything we ordered. They finally had 8oz A5 Japanese Wagyu steak! They were absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! Steak was melted on your mouth! Loved it! Tried it for the first time ever to celebrate a milestone career achievement for my husband. They made it so special and we felt well taken care of. We tried the following: - Wagyu Fillet Mignon (8oz) - cooked to perfection - rack of Lamb Ribs - husband raves about this - creamy Mac n Cheese- this was good but nothing to write home about, it's passable - crème brûlée Corn - this was divine and I would go back for this alone - chef Omar's au gratin potatoes- this tasted like way too much cheese (is there such a thing) and butter. It wasn't exemplary in any way and we regretted ordering it. - fresh burrata- this comes with a tomato jam, and you think what is that? Like a ketchup? But whatever it is, it's delectable- and I wanted sooooo much more of it. - 48 Caesar with warmed poached egg- there's just something about a Caesar salad at a streak place. It's always so crispy and fresh. But this was hardly noticeable. For dessert we had the red velvet bread pudding. Was delicious! I did see some people get cookies and wanted to order the same but never saw them on the menu. read more

Overcrowded and overrated. Arrived early to have a cocktail and cramped bar was packed with any open seat or table marked reserved. Entryway to wait in is awful like a low-class restaurant with cold air blowing in, no offer of coat check, only 3 Individual MIXED GENDER poorly appointed bathrooms on main level. Dress code not enforced. Single guy walked in with no reservation & was seated ahead of us in nicer dining room upstairs. Waited forever for our reservation only to be squeezed in at tiny table next to railing adjacent the loud bar area with tv and wall behind us. No offer to check my coat I had to hang it on back of chair touching the ground. Couldn't even fit the food on our table. So glad we made a dining room reservation to sit 2 feet away from the pub table in bar you can sit at without reservation. Food was just okay-bacon appetizer overcooked bordering on burnt. An amazing experience start to finish. Delightful professional and smiling staff. Unbelievable food with wonderful twists and presentations. Excellent wine list. And an elegant upscale setting. I love Steak48 and I had to try the one out here in Houston. The service was good I forgot our waitress name, but the ambiance was very nice! They have a upstairs seating area too, that was very nice. Good for date nights, and celebrations. It gives intimate vibes for sure. I love Steak48 and recommend here for a nice time that's upscale with opulence in a affluent neighborhood! For my food I ordered the Caesar salad with poached egg and the crispy shrimp that was very good! It's my fav when I go here. I was also grateful to choose the dessert of my choice for my birthday, and I decided to pick the Key lime Pie that was so delicious!! Not to tarty either! Great food. Place had a nice vibe/ buzz to it. Service by Rajinee(sp?) and Oren was spot on. One of the better steakhouses I've been to. We arrived at our reserved time and was able to get in immediately and be seated. Mark was our server and the provided exceptional service from the time he greeted the table until we left the table. I am a steak girly and I ordered the Ribeye Steak Medium well and it is in my top 5 steaks... i literally wish i lived in HTX just for that steak. The scallops were amazing as well as the crab cakes. We had the deviled eggs as an appetizer and let's just say they did not disappoint. I feel like we had every side BUT the asparagus & the sweet potato mash were my favs hands down. Also a thank you to the manager Ernest for my making sure my sister had no allergic reactions. Next time my husband d will be in town with and we must come back! We went there for our 1st anniversary. The service was excellent from beginning to end even the manager of the restaurant came over to speak with us ! The steaks were done perfectly the chef that made our food, came out with the food and presented the steaks! We were seated in an area that was quiet and where there were no distractions from other customers. The sound level was minimal, even though there were other customers in the restaurant it wasn't loud, which I appreciate! I had the filet mignon and my husband had the ribeye. Next time we're going to try the Wagyu and we're going to split it because it's 22 ounces, I think we can both do about 11 ounces each. the side dishes are à la carte but they're big enough where you can split it between 2 to 3 people. Coincidentally, it had been 1 year n 1 day since I went here. I ordered my usual meat and dessert as well as one drink. I had the 16 oz NY Strip cooked rare on a room temperature plate, 1 Bacardi n Diet Coke and a Very Chocolate Cake for dessert. Everything was awesome, very delicious, very well-made and really soft too. The steak was pretty much as tender as a big filet, plus being real thick as it was. No flaws, bland bites or gristle whatsoever. The warm, seasoned n seared crust combined with the cool, raw center makes a wonderful steak combo. They totally nailed it. The drink was really good n refreshing with a nice sweetness zing to it. I never even had Bacardi until tonight and loved it. It was much better than any other rum I have ever had. The dessert was really juicy, full of chocolate, cherry liqueur and candied cherries with it. I always get this steak exactly how I ordered it and this dessert whenever I come here. I sat in the bar table area last two times and sat at the bar itself downstairs for the first time tonight. Very efficient, welcoming and friendly service. Those two little complimentary mini chocolate chip cookies they give with the bill are really tasty as well, fyi. read more

No happy hour unfortunately
Are walk-ins accepted?
Yes and no..... don't count on it, but sometimes there is an opening at the bar. Once we walked in and there was a 4 hour wait. Ask to sit at the bar upstairs! Super nice and not as busy as downstairs.
What's the market price for the lamb?
Market price for the Australian Lamb is currently 125.
Have any cars ever been damaged by the valet service, and are the cars valet parked in front of the restaurant?

Every thing is a la carte... standard menu ordering. Side dishes can be considered shareable, but I recommend getting your own ;)

The noise level was at a fairly medium level. It was neither loud, nor noticeably quiet.

How close is the parking garage and what is the address?
The garage is a few minutes walk through the district. It’s located right behind the Ipic theater. We also offer valet for 6 dollars in front of the restaurant.
Is it ok for dinner with kids 11 yeras old dress code?
I would think it's OK but me personally I wouldn't take somebody that's 11 to a restaurant like that

We do not have outdoor seating, however we do have some very nice window views upstairs overlooking Westheimer and the Galleria.
Is the restaurant crowded since opening back up?
It was pretty crowded but they were doing a good job with distancing tables. They had flowers on the tables to block close seating.
How should you dress when you come to steak 48?
It's an upscale restaurant in an upscale area. So def dress up! Plus it's fun to dress up for yourself!
