Beware! I went to eat inside this restaurant on 6/27/17 (6:07pm) and saw a guy spraying what appeared to be pesticide inside the kitchen and dining area. This was going on while people were cooking and eating! The person with the big metal sprayer was from a company called "ECOLAB" and he sprayed around workers, inside the kitchen, and outside near the dining area. Anybody with common sense would know that the spray would mist and spread, once it hit the floor. I'm definitely taking this place off my list! read more

Friday night. Not really busy. Our second try of this store. First time kinda made me sick. Been a few months we'll try again. Walk in, not many customers inside. Waited as the big dopey Manager type rung someone out at the register then proceeded to walk away to the back. The other help just was looking around not doing much. Being a manager in the restaurant business myself, this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because our server Aaron was great and the chef was the only person who acknowledged us when trying to order milkshakes to go. The blonde behind the counter was rude and busy arguing with other coworkers. After waiting 30 minutes for milkshakes we decided to get our money back and leave. We will not be back and I hope the server Aaron finds a better restaurant to work at because he deserves better. Not really sure why we decided it was a good idea to eat here considering every time we have gone through the drive thru we have sat in the line for atleast 25 minutes, but last night we did. We were seated quickly, but sat for about 10 minutes before we were waited on. While we were waiting, we got to hear the entire staff screaming at each other in the kitchen and the waitresses complaining about having too many tables. Multiple people were standing up trying to figure out where their food was or where their check was. We were finally waited on and our waitress was great- she apologized and got us our drinks quickly. We waited around 25 minutes for our food through. As we were leaving one of the other waitresses was outside asking incoming customers if they had a lighter, she was also one of the waitresses we heard loudly complaining about having too many tables . The whole place was a complete mess and I cannot believe it's still in business. If someone from corporate was there they would be appalled. We love steak and shake but will definitely not be back to this location. read more

Waited over 5 minutes to get a seat, while plenty of tables were open. Once at our table, we sat for over 10 minutes before being greeted by our server. Asked for silverware & never got it. Slowest drive thru ever! Had to wait at the speaker quite a while even with no cars in front of me.

We, 7 of us, stopped in this evening because this is our granddaughter's favorite restaurant. Most of the food was OK. Our waitress was very good and attentive which I tipped accordingly. My spicey chicken sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. Most are mild at best, My wife cannot eat a lot so she ordered a children's cheeseburger meal. Her meat was paper-thin and was not appeasing at all. Personally, I thought it looked disgusting. We have learned, over the years, not to send anything back, not just here. Everyone else's meal seemed to be OK. All of this would have been almost acceptable except it took over 45 minutes from the time we ordered until, after I asked what the hold up was she went to ask and then we actually got our food. At check out, I was asked how our meal was. I answered truthfully. The cashier answered he had just gotten there and apologized. Then he said, when they are busy the cooking and disbursing of the food is so much quicker. There may have been 10 people in the restaurant the whole time we were there. I said that was no excuse. He replied, "It happens", and gave me my change. This was not my choice of places to eat. Steak and Shake has declined in service over the years. This is not the first time this has happened. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am surprised they have stayed open as long as they have. My granddaughter had better choose another favorite place to eat. read more

This location SUCKS. Their employees are very RUDE! We were there for about 45 minutes and they were fighting the whole time. they should've been taking care of the problems behind closed doors, not in front of customers!! Our waitress had an attitude the whole time. After asking for the ticket from her, we waited for a few minutes at the register, and still had to call her so we could pay!!! I know it's only Steak n Shake so I'm not expecting the best experience but this was awful. We didn't get our order taken until we had already been seated for 20 minutes. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Ordered 3 of the 4 for $4..they did not add lettuce or the ketchup and mayo to one burger. On the other two burgers there were barely any condiments even though I ordered extra. Did not get the cheese fries we ordered as an upgrade..my boyfriend went inside to let them know and he came out with a very small cup of cheese (they didnt even take the time to make actual cheese fries..smh). On top of all that...we didnt get any of the chocolate chip cookies that come with the meals. I am very unsatisfied with this establishment right now. read more

We are long time Steak and Shake fans, but tonight's visit was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. It took forty five minutes for part of our order to arrive with several items having to be sent back due to missing item to just cold food. The cleanliness was a joke at one point over half the tables were dirty the entire time we were there. It seemed there was no shortage of staff as there were several in the back leaning on the walls. Everyone waited at least as long as we did and several guest left before even being seated. As far as the food all but one order had something wrong with it and had to be sent back. Overall very disappointing and when a manager has to apologize for his crew it's time the unit manager needs to come in and kick some butt, and fire a few folks! read more

The floors in this place were greasier than a bottle of motor oil. They were so slick in fact that I watched a waiter dump a tray with two sodas on it on a customer. Food was fast and OK. Burgers not very thick so u need to get a double or triple. Very very dirty floors and booths. Employees regularly walk past deficiencies without correcting them. Being in the military I notice things like that very fast. The reason there was never any chili or cole slaw.or baked beans etc is bc we repeatedly would ask the ownerr to have the prep person make extra which they never did amd then they would.have 2nd shift management come.in and instead of doing their job tbeyd be doimg preps job. They took all my family's orders, including my salad. Everyone's meal came out but mine. I asked about my salad. The server said they made it but threw it away. Okay? So I told them I still wanted one. She went back to place the order. 10 minutes after my entire family had finished, my salad arrives with croutons. I told her no croutons. I have a wheat allergy and I made that clear. They wanted us to pay for the salad even though I didn't have time to eat it and they made it wrong! It was ridiculous.
