I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats. Upon getting my order and being delighted to have it, I discovered that my order was not as I expected. Before ordering I waited 10 minutes with only 2 cars in front of me. Then once I get to the window I get 2 chicken kids meal and ask for one of the drinks to be a large, then get a rude lecture about how they can't do that on and on. Then I pull to the window and I get my drinks then asked to move to cone 1 and waiting 25 minutes for just 2 kids meals that were cold. They had 3 cooks, 2 managers and a 'team lead' that were standing around not doing anything. Got into town late and after checkng in to my hotel I went in search of someting to eat... lo and behold I came across Steak n Shake. Went to the drive thru and ordered the Frisco Melt which seemed like the least heart attack inducing option on the menu. Excellent choice, wasnt too greasy and had a nice mellow sauce that really made the sandwich. They serve the shoestring fries and they were cooked just right, not too soggy and not too crispy. good flavor. Would eat here again if I was in town. read more

While waiting for my food for approximately 5 minutes, I was watching two Steak N' Shake employees smoking a blunt in the parking lot. I asked the manager who brought my food out if next time I could wait in another spot so the marijuana smell was not so strong. The manager looked at his two employees and acknowledged he could smell the weed and asked me if there was anything else he could do for me. Stopped in here for breakfast on a drive north from Florida. Had the burger with bacon, cheese and an egg on it. Asked for the egg over easy and that is how it came out. Really good burger! Also came with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Got the silver dollar potatoes which had a nice onion taste! Loved them! Oh and not to forget the snickers milkshake. Bf had eggs and sausage which is hard to mess up. Had the hash browns instead of the silver dollars but liked dollars better. And this place is dirt cheap and we had good service. read more

First day in Florida for business and I am starving. So I stop into Steak n Shake because it looked unique. For those from the Philly area it was similar to Nifty Fifties, but with food that was actually decent and service that was worth tipping a little extra for. My waitress, Miranda, couldn't have been better. She recommended a burger when I couldn't decide, was fast with my order and checked in me enough times to make me appreciate true southern hospitality. As for what you get, well for 7.50 I had a huge burger, fries and a delicious milkshake at a sit down place where someone actually served you. You can't get that at McDonalds or BK and the food was substantially better. read more

Terrible. Went here and there was only 4 other tables with people seated, so they weren't busy. However, almost every empty table besides maybe 3 were full of garbage and empty trays while 3 workers were standing near the counter BSing with each other. We ordered after maybe 15 minutes of waiting. Ordered two meals one of which was completely wrong and a shake.. halfway through our meals asked about the shake and she said "oh it should be out soon". It never came 10 minutes after we finished so we went up and paid and asked for the shake to be taken off the bill since it never came out. I guess that was too much work for her because she told us she cant do that and we are welcome to wait for it. We had an appointment to make so we didn't have time. I've been here multiple times and this was the last straw.... literally every time I go there they mess up my order and I tried to call them time 4 times to get my order fixed and no one answered. Not to mention my fries were cold and my milkshake was melted when I live 2 min down the road.. Talk about horrible customer service. I will never go back. It's always a late night experience when I visit as SteakNshake...so it can very night to night. The last time I went though...superb!!! :) Our waitress Laura was great! She was patient, gave us her recommendations and she even showed she's versatile cause she was doing a completely different job when we left. I love people who can fill many shoes in one job :) There weren't alot of customers so our service was fast. I have noticed that once it starts getting busy...service slows dramatically. I came here about 2 weeks ago and the food was OK. I just feel hat no matter what -- my order is somehow not correct in the way I ordered it. At the time I came, it was not busy whatsoever and I went in the drive thru. The employee was nice, not rude but not overly friendly. My double burger was burnt and I specifically asked for mustard but there was sadly no mustard. I got coleslaw on the side and this was so gross I couldn't finish it (and I have had great coleslaw from Steak 'n Shake before). I think it may have sat out all day (I came at night during the week) and it was so watery. The taste was no equivalent to coleslaw -- honestly it was more like dishwater with cabbage pieces in it. My husband said his food from the same order was great. In my experience, it's an average Steak 'n Shake but I would not recommend the coleslaw from here. read more

The windows had dust and funk along the edges, the smell of the bathroom in the dining area grossed me out. I do not always get what I have ordered Last visit I got two different burgers I also request salt never ever get it. Ive been here a few times and tbh this is the worst every time i go i realize the service gets worst and worst. I went thru the drive thru and seriously the manager himself didnt know what seasoning i was talking about then i get told to pull up to wait for my food, waited 10 minutes till i got my food when i got my food i asked for cheese sauce in the side wasnt in the bag neither the seasoning i ignored it till i open my sandwich and it was wrapped wrong coming out of the wrapper cheese was all over my wrapper and the meat was under cooked and broken into pieces the bread was broken in pieces. Tbh the worst experience i ever had not only that while in the drive thru the manager seemed to get bothered w me asking w the seasoning that he told his employee here u finish her order when she went on to speak to me she pretty much was yelling over the intercom mind u i never even got a receipt for my order what so ever got charged for cheese sauce which i never got.. will not go here again read more

This is our second time coming to this location and experienced the same poor customer service. We gave the benefit of the doubt after the first visit. The only quick thing about the entire visit was being seated. It took about 20 minutes before a server even visited the table. No apology for the extended wait, and just said "ya ready"... she took our drink orders and our meal orders (didn't want to risk her leaving the table). We then waited another 15 minutes to get our drinks and an additional 30 minutes to receive our food. The waitress did oncecheck in ya, we had to get up and approach the counter for a refill. We finally got our food and it was missing items, no silverware or napkins... when we finish eating, we were waiting for the waitress to place a milkshake order (we had already promised our kids one)... she brought us the check and said "thanks for coming".... we decided to just run through the drive thru for the shakes, where after we ordered and paid we were asked to pull into a parking spot to wait for our milkshakes. There we waited yet another 15 minutes for the shakes. What's sad is this is the consistent experience at this particular location. Very frustrating. Then we waited 10 minutes for a server to even acknowledge us (to say "be there in a minute" or something). No one did, so we left.
