BEST STEAK EVER My wife and I decided to try the 1800 Prime Steakhouse for dinner and it was hands down the BEST STEAK we have ever eaten! It was cooked and seasoned perfectly and was so TENDER! From the service to the food this is an EXCELLENT place to dine! We had Ramona as our server and she was AMAZING! You can tell she enjoys her job and she is an excellent server. Even the other staff members in the restaurant were so very friendly. Our meal started out with an AMAZING bread basket and four different types of butter! The jalapeño cheddar roll with basil butter was my favorite and my wife enjoyed the cinnamon roll with the cinnamon butter. You also get regular butter and sun dried tomato butter with yeast rolls as well. All are excellent! We had the spinach artichoke dip for our appetizer and it was delicious. We each had a 10oz filet for our entree and even added some fried shrimp on the side to share and it was AMAZING and came with homemade Remoulade sauce. Went last night . Excellent service from Velvet ...I ordered the center cut filet and it was cooked perfectly !! Husband ordered the burger and it was amazing as well .... But I have to mention the jalapeño rolls they serve . Hands down some of the best . We came in with a comp for food .. But this is someplace I would pay the full price to eat at again !!! My husband and I tried this restaurant for Father's Day. The waitress was excellent. My first issue started out with a request for a Gin Martini very dirty. It was not good at all and I had to send for olive juice twice to try and salvage it. I ordered the lobster, asparagus and mac and cheese. The lobster was less than the 10 to 12 ounces listed on the menu and it seemed boiled not broiled. It was soft, kind of watery with no flavor. The asparagus was perfect. The mac and cheese was ok but not as cheesy flavorful as I expected. My husband ordered the 22 ounce T Bone medium well and it was cooked to his liking and he said it tasted good. I may try this restaurant again in the future and have something different. I want to give them a chance. The service was very good. A good bartender would be great. read more

Had the pleasure of dining here last week. My wife and I arrived a little after 7 and were greeted and seated by our hostess, Ashley (?). Monica,, our server, gave us our menus and was very helpful in ordering our entrees. We started with the Marinated crab claws. It was presented on toasted bread with an amazing in house made marinade. I informed Monica that my wife had allergies and she went in them kitchen and brought Chef Chad to our table. We told him of our situation and he said he would create a vegatarian entree. The dish he made was amazing! My wife was blown away!! The steak I ordered was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Three tries and still couldn't get it right....Pretty mediocre steak house if you ask me... Went here after a 5 hour shooting session with the boys and was very excited to have a manly meal to pair up with the previous manly event. We ordered the 1800 degrees pizza and crab cakes to start off, both were 'meh'. I didn't really have high expectations for this establishment to begin with due to the ancient , yet dingy interior decor. Anyhow, onto the main event! I ordered the T-Bone prepared black & blue (Pitsburgh Rare) extra charred. For those of you not familiar with this preparation it is basically one step before 'Rare', so basically its charred completely black on the outside and raw on the inside. Top steak joints can get their stove top and/or broiler extremely hot in order to prepare steaks like this. I assumed this establishment could do the same given the name is '1800 DEGREES Prime Steakhouse'... I was sorely mistaken... What came out the first time was a sad piece of meat not even an inch thick that was charred well on the outside but overcooked on the inside. Second go around they brought me a similar looking sad steak but barely cooked on the outside and raw on the inside, you could still see all the herbs and spices in raw form on the steak. I asked them if they could char it a bit more and they tried once again only to have come back with a steak that had maybe an 2 inch diameter char marking. At this time I gave up on this establishment and just ate whatever they served me. I really don't understand how this establishment was able to assure me they could prepare a steak black & blue as they are equipped with a infrared 1800 degree broiler and yet couldn't deliver after 3 tries. Ruth Chris has an 1800 degree broiler and Mastro's (West Coast) has a 1500 degree broiler and they both prepare my black & blue steaks to absolute perfection. Come to think about it I'm not even sure if the steak they serve were prime grade and if it was dry/wet aged as I don't remember seeing any preparation descriptions on the menu. I gave them an extra star since the waiter that took care of us was very nice and accommodating. That being said, I would never be back when around the Shreveport area. read more

I was given a free steak dinner and my husband and I went twice was well please both times..this last time too much seasoning making the steaks a little too salty but overall was fantastic..waitress was very good and pleasant also....would recommend this steakhouse to all my family and friends.... read more

Service from Violet was adequate howevFranker, my dining guest beverage order was delayed and the 2nd repeat beverage arrived after entrees. Violet said bartender was "busy". The 10 oz. filet mignon ordered Pittsburgh rare was not Pittsburgh, but meat was rare and good albeit salty. My dining guest ordered the single lobster tail and was extremely salty and petit for $48.00. After voicing her displeasure to Violet, the "Chef/Manager came over apolizing profusely, but nothing else was done to correct issues. Not worth a repeat visit. read more

Tonight was not the way I wanted to have an extra guest crawling up the wall. I completely lost my appetite. The wait for our meal was approximately 35 minutes. The chef or cook was not skilled in culinary. The blue crab stuffed pork chops were disgusting. Two dried out pork chops with the lump of crab meat scattered over the meat. My steak had no taste what so ever. I have never had a bland piece of steak. Western Sizzling and Ryan's had them beat tonight. We had the best dinner in our two long years of enduring the local fare tonight. The steaks were cooked just the way we ordered them. The flavor was fantastic and the quality was was good as anywhere we have been. This is a sleeper dining experience. I met the head chef Henry and he was a cordial and nice as he could be. Everyone from the time we walked in until we left was friendly and our service was prompt and professional. This was our first time eating at 1800 Prime. Our experience was great! The service was outstanding. The bread and butter was very good. We had stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer...loved it! Husband and I both ordered steaks, his was cooked to his liking and seasoned well. My steak wasn't as good, it was a little tough and not seasoned as well. We also had a baked potato, asparagus and the mushroom dish as sides. The asparagus was perfect! The mushrooms were too garlicky to our liking. We will be back to try a different dish. read more

We eat at fine steak houses in casinos around our country regularly. 1800 provided us with the best meal we have received anywhere in Shreveport/Bossier in the last 10 years!!!!! i visited 1800 Prime Steakhouse during the month of September, 2012. I had been hearing for weeks about this wonderful, new chef that was employed there. His steaks were said to be outstanding, so I finally got to give him a try. To my surprise, it was Chef Chad Wood!! I had followed him to different restaurants around Lake Charles. His steaks are to die for as is all his masterpieces. On this visit, i got a ribeye, well done, with sauteed onions, broccoli, and a sweet potato. Any chef will tell you steaks should never b well done bc it takes away from the flavor. This steak was superb-tender, very flavorful, and not greasy. The broccoli was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The sweet potato was also a huge hit. The complimentary rolls come with several different flavors of butter and are delicious. Chef Chad specially made the fried chicken strips for my 2 y/o granddaughter-such a sweet gesture and they were great! If you're ever near Boomtown Casino in Bossier City, it would be well worth your time and you won't go away hungry, but best of all, the food, is made with love by a wonderful chef and it surely shows because it is scrumpcious!!! I had planned a special dinner for my family and, unfortunately, my two favorite steak houses were closed on Sunday. I had dined at another casino steak house numerous times and had always been pleased, but opted to try something different. I made the reservation prior to their opening and left a voicemail requesting a call back confirming all their steaks were prime as their name implied. I also called numerous times after they opened, but my calls always went straight to voicemail. Upon arrival, the hostess assured me all steaks were prime and said she was assigning us her best server. Service was at best mediocre and for the most part, the food a disappointment. The marinated crab claws were unlike any we had ever had and not in a good way. The lamb chop lollipop appetizers that were supposed to have been medium rare were well done and the shrimp cocktails only average. And then the steaks arrived. The larger of the two ribeyes offered and they were by no means anything close to prime quality to which I am accustomed. Actually tough with more gristle than marbling and a couple of them cooked improperly. The chef appeared after I complained and offered up some unintelligible excuse about having no control over quality since the steaks arrived in a box from the vendor, but did not appear to grasp the basis for my complaint. The server did deduct the price of one steak from the bill and provided a couple of good desserts complimentary, but the damage was done. read more
