We were starving, and all of our usual places to grab brunch were closed...and then we walked by the Steam Panda storefront and realized that we could get hot, savory bao...it was a great choice. This place is awesome. They scorpion roll was shaped like a scorpion, seafood soup was amazing, my 8 yr old loved the coconut shrimp, and the steam bao was very good. Overall we were very satisfied. Definitely returning. read more

This place just opened and we wanted to give it a try. First thing we noticed is thr prices. Yikes!! This earned them the two stars right off the bat. We have been to many restaurants like this one. The prices were equal to the high end ones but the food was nowhere near that quality. Wenatchee is growing no doubt about that. But when you charge prices like this in a small town with so many other dining choices your "A" game better be on. This is not that game. It certainly has the potential. read more

When we drove by the other day, my wife and I were so excited to see a place touting Bao and hot noodle soup in Wenatchee. We've experienced both in Asia and Seattle, so we made immediate plans to go and have our fill after too long an absence. Much to our disappointment, this was at best, baseline average for these dishes. At worst a middling attempt to fill a promising niche. It's hard to imagine that $40.00 into a basic meal for two without beverages you could still be surprised, but they didn't end there. The lime wedge and bean sprouts appeared anything but crisp and fresh. My soup was long on a less than flavourful beef broth, and short on noodles, beef, or vegetables. The bao did not taste fresh, but instead was somewhat cold and gummy within. We both agreed that we had to try this place, but that we'd never return. The bar for promising new eatery in Wenatchee is set pretty low, but you can always hope a new owner will exceed all expectations. This particular space has a long, and checkered history of failed eateries. If this one is to break that cycle, it will need to do MUCH better than it's predecessors. Oh! Don't even get me started on the horrendously inappropriate for the culture, food, or setting music?!?! Terrible Latin music to accompany my poor meal? Could you drive us out any faster? read more

Tried to order the XLB but they were out. Ended up ordering ramen and a steamed juicy pork bao with a taro boba. Bao was barely warm, soup was ok, Boba... well there was no boba and the cup was packed with ice. I asked where the boba was, they said oh they ran out, and it is a $0.50 charge for boba... The "Boba" tea I ordered for $5.95 apparently doesn't come with boba. Don't worry they didn't upcharge me for something I didn't receive and did not list the upcharge for boba in your "boba"... I can't recommend this. Maybe things will improve in the future but I won't hold my breath. read more

First of all, the food is good. The service is not. The cashier was rude and made it obvious that he did not want to work there, which is fine whatever. The ordering is kind of complicated but manageable. We got our food and they had given us pork gyoza which our group wasn't sure we ordered, but assumed they just misheard what we ordered. Halfway through all of our entrees, the waitress comes over and says that she had mistakenly given us the wrong order, and that she would bring the check for it. We were shocked that they were charging us food that they mistakenly given us that we did not order when they had plenty of opportunity to notice that they had given us the wrong thing the 4 times she had came over. That is not our fault, we did not order it. That's on them. We went up to pay for the wrong item and it was still full price. They should not have charged us for the item THEY had messed up on, and they did not apologize. I do not recommend eating here after the experience we had today. read more

This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in existence. I love everything about it here. You walk in, grab a menu and choose anywhere to sit. Ambiance is always on point, great music playing and really relaxing environment. The menu is large, but don't let that trick you into thinking that some things will be bad. EVERYTHING here is handmade from scratch, never frozen. Highlights from me are the Miso Soup (2$!), and the Tempura Asparagus Rolls. All the food has amazing textures and flavors. One bite and you can tell its all fresh and made from scratch. The owner that I have met (not sure of her name) has been nothing short of kind, caring, and genuine. She spoke to my girlfriend and I briefly, asking us how we enjoyed each thing and taking the time to hear what we had to say. I loved the warmth and love from the staff and the food. 1000/10 in my book. If you are on the fence, jump over it and get in here. read more

Incredibly disappointing. The ramen has zero flavor, we asked for spicy. Grocery store sushi that was fishy, old, and overpriced. The Bao was okay in flavor, but the portions are small. $50 to feed 2 of us and we ended up making an entire separate meal because we were still so hungry. My wife spotted this while we were heading towards our hotel. We decided to give it a try and found it excellent. We shared noodle soup, pan fried dumplings and pan fried bao. They were all good, with the dumplings and soup making the meal. The soup had good depth in flavor, tender beef, and fresh veggies. The dumplings were well stuffed and the sauce that came with them was the star of the show. If we lived here this would be a regular stop. read more

I went here with a friend and I wasn't necessarily wowed by the food but I wasn't either unhappy. I ordered soup dumplings and they were alright I have never had them but they were pretty flat and not very full of soup and a couple of them broke. The seared pan dumplings were pretty good and I didn't see an issue with them at all I would recommend to try this place to try something new. read more

There has been a lot of hype in the valley about this place because it's new. The servers are nice, and the Boba was good, but we were immediately sketched out when our food got to our table. The Bao arrived lukewarm and wasn't flavorful at all. The Ramen was not great. The potstickers tasted like the Costco ones. I've heard from multiple people that they got sick after eating here. I wouldn't suggest it to a friend. I did really enjoy my Boba tea though, so if you stop by just for a quick refreshment I would recommend! It was also very pricey for the amount of food we got. It wasn't filling. This review may seem harsh but I feel pretty disappointed. read more

Honestly the owners appear very nice, but are mean to there employees. They can't keep anyone. Every-time a Hispanic/Latino come in they ask "how many tacos" it made me feel disgusted. read more

Wonderful! Our first visit we ordered some steamed and seared baos, as well as the soup dumplings and milk bobas to drink, everything was hot and delicious! If you stop in you absolutely have to try the soup dumplings if they are available (they have a limited qty day to day), they are amazing! I have had nothing but great experiences from this place so far and I plan on eating here regularly. If you're a fan of this type of food please give it a try! read more

I'm so excited for the menu offerings as it is the only place in town with options like bao, spicy dumplings, xiao long bao and and milk teas. The art on the walls is great, the food arrived in good time and the staff was working very hard. Prices were very reasonable and it is a good location downtown.
