    $13 Ube + Pandesal Toffee - Pint
    Ai M.

Despite authentic flavors, ube pandesal toffee is better than mango sticky rice and banana turon because of its texture. Mango sticky rice sorbet is bright and sharp in its fruitiness. The coconut milk and pandan components are secondary, but this business has the best ice cream. Banana turon crunch doesn't have the crunch of caramelized egg roll wrappers, yet the jackfruit jam is great. This last flavor feels icier than the others.

Great place in The Lab to get ice cream! Love that the texture is almost gelato-like. I really enjoyed the ube pandesal flavor but wish it had a stronger ube flavor. I also couldn't really taste the pandesal flavor as well. The brown butter flavor was so delicious and not too sweet. The POG flavor was very refreshing and highly recommend as a non-dairy option. Service was quick but staff wasn't very welcoming. There's no seats inside but a few tables to stand at. It's a great place to get ice cream and try their unique flavors!

This is probably the best ice cream i've ever had! The banana turon is so unique and the ube pandesal really tastes like the exact combination! The service was quick and worked well with our large group and the space was clean and cute! Will definitely come back here whenever i'm in the area!!

Stella Jean has some bomb ice cream. I got a split single ($6.75) of the pineapple pog and mango sticky rice which was great because I had a refreshing pineapple orange flavor and a dessert mango sticky rice flavor to complement it. I'm shocked both flavors are gluten free and vegan, usually vegan/gluten free ice cream doesn't taste good (in my experience) but this time was different!

A nice location tucked away in the lab in Costa Mesa. The parking is good. It goes around the whole building so if you don't find one right in front, there's some around the corner. I was very impressed with the service on a late Saturday night. There was one person behind the counter, and she was efficient and getting through the line and even giving people enough time to have samples. The flavors are really great a lot of good rotation and there's a lot of spaces outside of this location for you to sit and relax and enjoy your ice cream.

Best ice cream shop in the area. Parking sucks because you gotta be patient, especially knowing that the lab is always packed. They always come with seasonal flavor, so make sure to check their Instagram or social media. You can sample all the flavors and I got ube pandesal & mango sticky rice. The mango sticks is pretty refreshing because you got two flavors which is the mango sorbet and milky flavor ice cream. They have cool art on the wall.

Not sure if I should admit this or not but I had never heard of Stella Jean's Ice Cream before last night so when my group of friends wanted to go after dinner I thought why not? We walked from a local brewery and were told we were lucky to walk into the ice cream shop with only 3 customers ahead of us. Sure enough, right after our group arrived and then for a solid 30+ minutes after, there was a steady line out the door! The flavors were some of the most unique I had experienced based on included ingredients, like caramelized egg roll wrappers. The best deal seemed to be the "Split Scoop". You'd think it would be the same size as a single scoop but just in two flavors but not at Stella Jean's! It's almost a double scoop and for less than a dollar more. I didn't know that until my friend after me ordered. I was disappointed at first but my ice cream flavor, Strawberry Oat Crumble, was quite sweet so I don't think I could have eaten more than my single scoop so I am happy I stuck with that decision! I really enjoyed this new spot and had fun sitting in the common seating area of the Anti-mall LAB area since there is no seating inside. Only bar top tables. Worth the wait too if you should encounter a line but I guess most of you know that already and I was the only newbie there!

The ice cream is high quality and delicious! It's creamy and full of flavor! I really enjoy their ube flavor, it's my favorite for sure. The service was fast and no one was in line when we got there. Ambiance is small shop in the corner of the plaza. Right next to a potpie shop.

Stella Jean's is a California-based small-batch ice cream shop. Flavors that is not normally elsewhere. Good tasting, not over powering. Cute small ocean shop located at The LAB Anti-Mall. Great service!!!

i'm just a silly little broke college grad who's silly little 22nd birthday is today and just wanted a silly little scoop of ice cream... dream fulfilled guys. the gentleman behind the counter was so kind and literally had me smiling like a goof... from the girl in red with curly hair TYSMMM :,) that banana crunch flavor had me DROOLING i love all the unique flavor combos and vegan options, and the coconut swirl in the mango sticky rice ice cream scoop i got was to DIE for. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEE :P

Yikes. I was suckered in by the gulab jamun flavour but this was such an absolutely disappoint. It tasted so bland and whatever was supposed to be gulab jamun was this nasty, almost cardboard-like jamun. I could not taste any of the sugar syrup or rose (the gulab part of the gulab jamun). Definitely overhyped and boring. Better off going to Wanderlust or an actual South Asian small business that makes good South Asian flavoured ice cream.

Craved ice cream and have been wanting to try Stella Jean's. Parking can be tough but since we'd go after dinner, there would be spots open. First time I went they ran out of banana turon so I opted for the Yuzu Matcha, since it was a seasonal item. The flavor was soooo good. The yuzu was soooo refreshing and the matcha wasn't too overpowering. I went back the following week to try the banana turon. This was amazing but really sweet for my taste. It gets crowded but service is fast.

They do have them where I'm at in Las Vegas, but I have yet to visit any of those establishments. I was super hungry and thought I want to go try that rib sandwich. Place is easy to find right off 17th Street. You really can't miss it with that big sign. And the building is definitely unique as well so you shouldn't have any problem finding it Inside you can either choose to go digital and and skip talking to a real person. I'm old school, I actually like engaging with people. So I went to the counter. I ordered the rib sandwich without looking, and was a little shocked by the total. The sandwich itself is 15 bucks, I ordered a small fry which was $4.50, and a small drink which was $4. With a 15% tip my total came out to $28. Definitely a little shell-shocked by that. Now let's talk about the sandwich. It came to the table and at first glance it looked very small. When I picked it up there was a very generous portion of rib meat inside like a big chunk of rib meat. Huge pickles and a lot of sauce. It was a great sandwich. Do not get me wrong, what I ordered again? Maybe. They don't really have a meal deal that includes fries and a drink so it's sort of all a la carte. Now let's talk about the taste. The fries were perfectly cooked, and the sandwich itself was a solid 10. That being said, I would definitely feel more comfortable paying $12 for this sandwich, as I think 15 is a little exuberant. And you don't really get that many fries for $4.50. I can't imagine what the meal deal would have been, but I'm sure people would absolutely balk at that price. I would have given it a five-star review, but that is way too much for that sandwich. As delicious as it was, I just don't feel right spending that much for a sandwich. If it could be reworked, and the price dropped down I would be all in in a heartbeat. Bottom line? If you've been wanting to try it, I say go ahead. Just be warned that you could be unpleasantly surprised unless you know what the prices are you're getting into.

The mint and chip is basic. Nothing too much about it. My kids like it, so I got it. Average 3/5. The rose ice cream tasted like a rose, it was pretty good and very floral. The disappointing part is I was hoping the ice cream would be shaped like a rose as depicted on the picture. Nope, just a scoop and left it as is. 5/5 for taste and 0/5 for presentation. The milk and cereal one was actually pretty good. Especially with Frosted Flakes in it. It literally taste like cereal. 5/5.
