First time eating at Sticky Rice yesterday (4/29) celebrating a friend's birthday. It's an amazing venue nestled in the business district of Green Valley, near the library. You wouldn't even know it exited. Tall windows provide amazing natural lighting, and great views of a nice pool/lake and the valley. We had party of 9-10 people. It seems to be quite a busy. Making reservations in advance is recommended for a large group. I'm sure glad we had a reservation. The girl at the front reception counter (host) seemed very short, and highly overwhelmed. Perhaps she was having an off day. The wait staff however was very attentive, courteous and accommodating. The food was delicious and fresh!!! Pure Quality Chinese food!!! Great portion sizes. Customer service is awful they don't smile or say thank you . I called my order in for a pick up and the girl kept rushing me with my order .. After I got home with the food it was cold as ice nasty . And I will never return again this is not the first time . And I also noticed when I pulled up the owner was taking food supplies out his car . INSTEAD of ordering from supplier like most reputable restaurants do. The Walnut Pineapple Prawns with the sauce on the side was delicious and exactly what I wanted. The batter was perfect eith a nice crunch as I dipped each prawn into the creamy sweet sauce. The Beef Broccoli was equally as delicious, both dishes were so satisfying. I ordered to go and waited only five minutes for the food. I will definitely order these dishes again. read more

Awww, the food is the exact same food I can get in any neighborhood Chinese food restaurant, it was soooo good before the new owners And it's starting too look like a neighborhood Chinese food restaurant, the lighting is weird and not inviting. We celebrated my mother's birthday here with 14 guests. We ordered three courses: apps, soup, and entrees. ALL the food came out at once. I explained to my server it was not how I requested, and she unapologetically stated the kitchen wanted to execute it that way to accommodate their Grubhub orders. We'll never return. read more

This place used to be our go to for Chinese food. It used to be packed and they used to have a live band playing on the weekends. We went last Saturday because we hadn't gone since before COVID. No band and there wasn't even a bartender. The food is still delicious though and prices are still reasonable. Service could have been better. Our waiter had a mask but wore it on his chin not covering his mouth or nose- not even sure why he had one. He never checked on us and anytime we needed something we either had to flag him down or my husband would have to look for someone else to help us. When he finished our meal and ordered dessert, I had to ask him to remove the empty plates. This was definitely not typical of this place in the past. I would still go back for the food. This is one of our favorite lunch restaurants. The food is consistently tasty and well-prepared and presented. Our server is always attentive and helpful. We have often brought friends with us, and we have always enjoyed a good lunch. The dining room has many windows with pretty views and lots of light. We give Sticky Rice a 5-star review! read more

We, my gf and I, dined here a few weeks ago on a Friday night. I chose this place cuz it had a bar. Guess what? The bar was closed and apparently no one in the restaurant can make a drink. One strike. We were bouta up and leave, but we were hungry. Upon ordering, a waitress with shoulder-length hair - possibly the manager, SMH - interrupted us just as I was about to say what we wanted, excused herself and guess where she went? To take an order at another table. That's two strikes. Another server came to our table minutes later. We ordered food and beer, cuz no one could make cocktails. Several minutes later, the food comes out. Guess what they forgot? Yup, the beer. It's funny cuz I watched him retrieve it at the empty bar. For some reason it took longer than it usually takes for a bottled beer to be served. Did he not know how to open it?! I dunno. Strike 3, they're out! And off my list of places to eat. Good news, hence the 3 stars, the food was decent and the decor was cool, but you won't catch me here. read more

Fallen was terrible! We called to place our order where we were greeted by a very angry worker who seemed to get more agitated as we talked. I asked for prawns and scallops not fried and she could not understand what I was talking about. It was almost as if their own employee didn't understand the menu! After giving up and deciding on the mongolian beef, with what was perhaps the most unenthusiastic employee I have ever heard. I was told my order would be ready in 50-55 minutes (an insane estimate for one order of mongolian beef). When I arrived roughly an hour later I met a sloppy, underdressed, overly condescending, too old to be hostess. Where she kindly let me know my food had been ready and waiting for over 30 minutes. When I stated I was told roughly an hour for the wait time she completely brushed me off and gave me my cold food. The mongolian beef was undercooked and had too much scalion. 0/10 I would rather eat at panda express! read more

Last week Monday I ordered $50 worth of food for dinner. Four items - all were disgusting and no fresh ingredients. Mongolian beef (yuk- too much onion, too much bland sauce), Spicy Crispy tofu (they used old rancid oil, large triangles of tofu, drowned in another bland sauce) again YUK. I could continue but you get the picture. I threw everything in trash after a few bites. I am not one to be severely critical, but this time I had to. I'm new to the area, didn't want to cook on this particular night so I thought trying a new spot would be a nice treat. I will never patronize this place again - ever! I was eating at Sticky Rice today in Fairfield, CA and ordered a dessert that was listed on their bar menu. When they brought the bill to me it was for more and they said their price went up. I told them I was only willing to pay the price that was on the menu that I ordered it from. The waitress Jessica and the manager for that shift with last name of Lau continuously argued with me with the price and said I had to pay the price on the new menu. I told them at that time that I would not be leaving a tip as the service at that point was very disrespectful over the price of this dessert. At that point the waitress Jessica started screaming at me with several other patrons sitting at tables listening and calling me names and saying F you to me several times and went to the other tables and continued to tell them what happened and still continuously was screaming F you at me across the room. When I tried to get the manager to give me the owner of the restaurant's name, she refused and said she instead comped me the price of the dessert. I told her that wasn't the issue and that she needed to give me a name of the owner so I could file a complaint about this restaurant. She continued to refuse to tell me a name of upper management. I have spent lots of money at this restaurant and have given them my business several times. I will never step foot in this restaurant again and I will be sure to make sure anyone I know does not go there again. I have never been treated so rudely in my life and I can't believe they would continue to employ a waitress that is screaming F you at a customer in the middle of their restaurant or employ a manager who refuses to give you the owner's name! read more

My son and I went in to dine in, we were seated immediately since it was only 2 other occupied tables, not busy at all. We sat patiently for about 10 minutes while witnessing the waiter walking around the establishment never once asking if we wanted to at least place our beverage selections. After about 10 minutes of nobody bothering to assist us another party of about 6 arrived, was seated and immediately that same waiter that had walked by our table several times went to take their orders. was it because we are black and the other party was white, they were assisted immediately, as if our money spends differently. Another local restaurant that cannot recommend enough! Taking off a star due to customer service encounters in the past - it's hit or miss. Potstickers, yum! But the very very best is their hunan chicken. It's seriously the best and like no other. Crunchy, crispy with their savory sauce over. Love it! We also have ordered the spicy noodle soup and classic mongolian beef which are also good. Not much of a beer selection on tap but I believe they have another local included - heretic. After having such a great experience or first visit I decided to take my daughter on our trip home. This was such a sad disappointment. The food was Nothing like our first visit- neither was the service. The food was bland. The waitress took our order and disappeared. When she did finally come back it was to take our drink order... More than ten minutes later she came back with the soft drinks and still no sign of food. The manager was watching TV and drinking with the bar patrons. His clothes looked like he slept in them. Celebrated our Mom's birthday dinner here. Attn: Large party of 13. :) I called for reservations about 3 weeks in advance and they were very nice and explained on Saturday nights they have live music and wanted to give me a heads up. We were able to get seated in the back room area, where we were away from the main restaurant. When we walked in about 15 min early, to my surprise, they already had the table ready. I really like that! Food overall was decent. A couple of stand outs- Hunan Chicken, & Singapore style curry noodles. (Note: in previous visits, I've previously ordered a lunch style Mongolian beef- SUPER GOOD, and tofu fries--- yum as well!) On a Saturday night, and we were a large group, they did a pretty good job. I thought we could have used a few more check ins, but I get it. It's a busy Saturday night. I know there were multiple other birthday celebrations and other dinner guests to attend to. For dessert, I tried the stick fried rice and it was ok. I wasn't sure how I felt about it. I also had the ice cream sundae. Nothing to be excited about. Overall I did like this place. My mom likes Chinese food and I was happy there was a nice location to accommodate us and were super friendly about it. read more

Love this place! Very clean, quick and quality service from very friendly staff. Food is all mostly shareable items, comes out quickly and is DELICIOUS! My husband used to work here long before they changed owners. This place is a shared building with other business but once you walk inside and walk straight it's the actually restaurant. Just check in with the front desk and they will have you seated right away. I came here maybe once or twice with my husband and he suggested a few dishes. The food portion is great. I loved a few things on the menu but I did not like the mango sticky rice. Other than that this place is spacious and has a bar inside. They have outdoor seating and unfortunately I was unable to sit outside the patio w/ my husband but maybe next time. I do recommend eating here again and it looks like they could host parties and big events. read more

This was my second visit was much better. The first visit was awful from placing us next to a party in the next room though there was plenty of empty tables in the main room. The waitress, Haley this second visit was very attentive. It was nice to have a full glass too. It was worth revisiting. We tried the Honey Walnut Chicken, Cherry Chicken, and combination fried rice.
