UPDATE: They are open now and finally have a place to go to for Lao food that is closer to home. I honestly only had the Kapiek, Boat Noodles( which is I believe their special right now), beef jerky, sausage, beef laab, and yum seafood. So far, I love majority of them but the sausage. Sausage flavor is good but wasn't expecting it to be full with spicy chili flakes that made it overwhelming. Other than that, flavors they put out is authentic. read more

I have frequented this location for many years. Some of the best Thai food I have eaten. I have ordered most of their menu and enjoyed every dish so far. I also enjoy that they do not skimp on the spice when you ask for it. The stand outs are the Raw Beef Larb ( I enjoy it lightly bitter), Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles, extra spicy), Papaya Salad (be careful with this one, they don't skimp on the chilis), Bangkok Night Light (spicy mussels), Egg Rolls, and their Pho is surprisingly good as well, very garlicky. I've been to most of the Thai places in Modesto. Ceres / Turlock .. sticky rice is definitely on my top 2 ( they are tied with one other considering they both have their strong points ) .. they are friendly & welcoming ! My favorite dishes so far is the pineapple curry & orange chicken . They definitely have their own style i am more than happy to continue supporting this family establishment i wish them the best . I have ordered from this resturant twice (through grubhub) and both times I have been disappointed. My first order was Pad se ewe which was pretty good and Pad thai and a green tea smoothie. They issued me a refund for the green tea smoothie without letting me know. The chicken pad thai was lacking in flavor and all the noodles clumped together in a ball. Tried to give this place another shot today. Ordered drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice, chicken satay, side of peanut sauce and a mango smoothie. Put a comment on the smoothie that if this flavor isn't available to call me for another option. The order was supposed to be here at 12:05, then 12:20 didn't get delivered until 12:40. And the chicken satay, smoothie and peanut sauce were all missing. The food looks good and they have a nice menu but everything is lacking. The drunken noodles are just spicy with no depth in flavor. The pinapple rice and dry and hard. Overall disappointed. Will not be back!!! read more

I have lived in Ceres most of my life and had never thought to come here. Upon arrival the restaurant looks dark but usually always a lot of cars parked outside. My boyfriend and I walk-in and are helped to a table. The server Eric was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Eric made us laugh, so that was a good time. Food was exquisite, tasteful, and great portions. Our taste buds were dancing with happiness. Our stomachs were satisfied. Our hearts made full. I thought it would be a crime not to write a review. I had Sticky Rice for the first time on Friday for lunch and it was very delicious. I got their drunken noodles. It was so good, I went that same night to introduce someone else to Sticky Rice. I got their spring rolls, egg roles, popcorn shrimp, and Hawaiian rice and they were all just as good as the next. They also had huge portions in all of their plates. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Delicious food. Excellent service. Clean space. We ordered the most delicious green curry my mouth has ever had the pleasure of meeting. It was creamy, and buttery and full of flavor. We like ours with chicken, but I imagine it's just as good with any of the protein choices...its just good...I could swim in the sauce... We also had the spicy basil rice. Mmmmmmmmm....rice at it's most sophisticated best...you couldn't do anything to this dish to improve it. It's perfect. Have some, but be prepared to crave it at the most inconvenient times... We also had the pad kra pao...again, just delicious...try some, I cannot imagine you won't love it like we do. Pretty tasty nom noms. Stopped in finally after thinking about trying it when it had a different name. Quiet atmosphere with nice staff. I was being safe and ordered the Pad Thai with a to go order of spicy basil rice. Both with tofu and let me tell you the flavors were outstanding. The basil rice were really, really good and I may have liked that more. I will go back and try other vegetarian options when I'm craving Thai or laotion food. Was extremely disappointed in the service at the new location. Food was NOT the same as the old location, it was worse. Nothing had any flavor. We had to sit and eat with our baby in our arms because they have no high chairs, and to top it off, they forced us to pay them their "gratuity of 18%" because we "brought in a large party" when it was myself, husband and kids AND we cleaned our table, stacked our own dishes for them to be removed. read more

After work, I was craving some Thai food but instead found this awesome Thai/Laos fusion. Score. Best of both worlds. I grew up eating amazing papaya salad from my Laotian friends and it has been difficult to find anything close. Sabaidee did quite well and the kick from the chilis was spot on. Service was good and efficient. We ended up ordering their signature dish named after their restaurant. It was a seafood dish full of shrimp, squid, and scallops. Good portions. We also ordered a different chicken dish but it tasted just like the sabaidee. All in all, I thought this was a delicious spot and I'd come back again especially for the papaya salad. read more

Very Flavorful Soup Although WAYYY TOOOO SPICYYY!! I can handle spice pretty well, although, when I ordered the "Tom Yum Kar" which is a Coconut Soup, the level of spice was on a different level. I am leaving a 4 star review only because the soup tasted great. To the waiters credit, he did ask if I wanted it spicy or not, although PLEASE offer a disclaimer that, by SPICY, you mean... a level of spice that MOST people have have not ever experienced before. I could not enjoy the soup at the restaurant. I had to ask for it to go so I can water it down when I got home. I added half a glass of water and half a glass of milk and it was STILL way too spicy. I had an upset stomach due to level of spice. I will give this place 1 more shot due to the flavorful food but if the waiter does not offer a disclaimer in regards to the level of spice. We received the food , first thing we noticed was no condiments just some sweet and sour sauce. The food was the worst Thai or Chinese food I ever had. Hot & Sour soup lots of vegetables and meat but no flavor. Campbell's soup is much better and cost a lot less. Needless to say we trashed most the food after being subjected to basically torchure at every bite. We cautiously tasted each item we ordered and the disappointment never ended. I don't believe it's fair to negative review a place just because they are closed. Yes some of us had to find out the previous location is closed, but they are relocating within the same city. Every time I ordered from here the ingredients were always fresh and the prices are fair. The all meat fried rice and Vietnamese coffee are my go to! It's like, let me look at the menu dude, sheeesh, I just got here, 2nd thing, the plates were dirty, if you rubbed your hand on the plate you could feel the specs of old food and what not, gross, my fork was also dirty, had some hard food stuck on it super nasty, epicly disgusting, the food was horrible, the meat was tough and dry, barely any meet in the curry, I don't recommend mengolian beef, everything sucked here, it was so bad we didn't leave a tip. Have little to zero complaints about this restaurant. Food is good. We usually order online. Sometimes the pho broth isn't hot enough and I don't know if that's because our order is done way before online order times. We are right down the street from so its very convenient and pleasant to have a good place to go to get Vietnamese. Not too expensive and good size portions. read more

I came in today treating my parents to dinner. The pad Thai was pretty good 8/10. The Mongolian beef was okay 5.5/10. A soup that I forgot the name(something with coconut and chicken) was good 9/10 and the way it was served was a flaming dish which was pretty impressive. The sticky rice and mango was 4/10 simply because the mango was covered in coconut milk which wasn't sweet and neither was the rice nor was it sticky. If I could give half stars I would but I'm giving the restaurant the benefit of the doubt mostly because the wait staff did not seem to be in a good mood in general. They moved slow and were inattentive to the needs of our table along side the three other tables occupied during our visit. If you're bringing a date to this restaurant I would definitely say it's more of a second or third date restaurant. read more

I honestly went in Hangry not wanting to eat there BUT the smell in there changed my mood FAST.......the orange chicken (I asked for NOT spicy for my kids), the shrimp spring rolls, pork belly, sticky rice (of course), and my fav was Hawaiian Fried Rice (pork) I now LOVE this place as well as everybody I've told about this place has liked it as well.
