I have always loved Sticky's. Recently they have changed ownership/management and the menu has been changed. They have an à la carte option, but you can only order à la carte, it if you order a meal. So basically you can add à la carte extra chicken to your meal but cannot get a singular chicken tender on the other court menu. The sauces have changed since the original Sticky's. But they've maintained many of the good saucy originals. Always a calm ambience. A good place to order and sit if there are tables available. 5/5 chicken even with the changes.

This is one of the few places open late (past 10 pm) on the east side near Lexington and 48th where our hotel was. My partner loved this chicken place when he used to live here and so we came back so I could try it. We really enjoyed the chicken for the most part, even though the chicken was sitting there waiting to be bought -- the price is good, for a 12pc Chicken Popper Basket with fries and two sauces, we paid $14.50 plus $2 tip. Not bad at all. The workers there are patient, and they sort of have to be with a lot of choices with sauces -- we weren't sure what to get. I will say though that the maple hot sauce was nothing that I thought it'd be. It just tasted like franks Buffalo sauce and so I wasn't sure if they gave me the wrong sauce or the sauces aren't really what they say they will be. But either way we enjoyed our chicken and would come back the next time we are in town.

No need to go back, I can buy four times the amount of chicken and chop it up into my deep fryer and achieve a better crunch, a better flavor, a better amount, and a better attitude. Sticky's ain't doin' anything revolutionary and I'm tired of their hype. Mushy fries, flavorless truffle parm, sauces don't even hit great It's good for your shitty fast food chicken but not worth the money if you can handle yourself in the kitchen... my stomach already hurts and I'm writing this with actual sticky fingers and most the food still sitting on the table- No thanks mr sticky I want my money time and dignity back

Chicken Strips with Hot Honey and Sticky's Sauce

Came here late night after a party and chicken strips after a long dance/drink session really hits the spot. The workers were super chill and just happily vibing while serving customers. I asked if I could change my sauce and they just let me keep the other one. My friend ended up making some requests to change her order midway, and they were super cool about it. Hot honey was a little thinner and less full-bodied than I would've liked, but not bad at all. Sticky's sauce was pretty good, which surprised me because I'm a hot honey gal and not usually a fan of aoili-type sauces. So, chicken strips were good, but not exceptional by any means. The fact that the service was so quick and that they put a lot of fresh parsley(?) on it was a nice touch though. Awesome vibes, decent chicken, and a nice variety of sauces (and ways to eat the chicken) sums up my experience.

Is it the best? No. But is it reliable and will satisfy your fried chicken cravings, yes. It's fast and easy to order, a bit soggy aka not totally crispy, but the chicken was juicy and warm. Got the sticky's sauce and it felt like a more mayo heavy chik fil a sauce.

It was goodish. I always walk past and have been meaning to try it! The tenders were so pretty when I saw them but eating them was crazy because it was truly DRENCHED. I understand the vibe of sticky's but this much sauce was just truly unnecessary. It was good but I would try something else or just get sauces on the side next time.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. There was no line and only one group of people eating inside (it's a small spot, so there are only really spots for two groups to eat). If you're eating there, they take down your information for COVID precautions. Two of us shared 1 large crunchy poppers with fries -- this was the perfect amount as we weren't too hungry. It came with a choice of three sauces. We got sticky sauce, honey mustard(?) and chipotle aioli. The chicken are real pieces of chicken (no nuggets) which are nice and crunchy and hot. The sticky sauce was a bit strange -- it was white but not super creamy?? The mustard and chipotle aioli were huge hits. The sauce balanced the slightly dry chicken and made it better to eat. Overall a decent spot for chicken. For this price point, it's quite good; however, the sticky sauce really threw me off. Came bc my sister recommended it, but apparently the sauce she recommends is the thai sauce, so I'll have to come back and try again.

Yum! Got some of the new chicken thigh bites along with Cajun fries. I think there's a cumin funk from the Cajun spices or something that was a little odd. Still, the chicken was very good, crispy on the outside and super juicy meat in the middle. Fries were also done very well, again crispy on the outside but a soft interior. The basket option comes with just more than enough fries to round out a meal for one, so plan accordingly. They fry stuff here and they do it well, with enough sauce choices to please anyone. Solid choice

Sticky's is my jam. The buffalo ranch tenders are my favorite. It is served with shredded carrots and it just works. Perfect snack or meal. It is a little pricey but you are paying for good quality chicken tenders. I know they have a bunch of locations and I would go back when in the mood for tenders.

The Chicken Sandwich Wars rage on in 2021. After shopping at Trader Joe's down the street, I came across Sticky's sign declaring themselves the "Best Damn Chicken Sandwich". In NYC, in the World? This I had to check out after having tasted Chick Fil-A, Popeye's, Wendy's, KFC, Fuku, Chick'nCone and the like. Even McD is entering the arena this month with a revamped Crispy Chicken. Do I dare to get the Spicy Chicken Sandwich? At $8.04, it's a decent sized value, more than your average fast food joint, but better than $10 at Fuku. You get 2 Hulk sized chicken fingers on a bun (with pickles), doused in hot sauce. In hindsight, maybe I should have specified a different sauce. The default Sticky's Hot Sauce was killer HOT and I usually like spicy foods. I tasted a little on my finger when I unwrapped the sandwich and thought, "What did I get myself into?? They put Carolina Reaper whatsis in here?" After the first bite, I was dying. I had to take 2 eat breaks for the heat to die down before I was able to finish the sandwich. Maybe next time I'll ask for the kids version because I don't like to cry in the middle of my lunch. I may be a little biased from having my tastebuds scorched, but it was not the best damn sandwich I've ever had, but it was OK. I'll have to come back to try just the chicken fingers with the many sauce choices and render another judgement once my tongue recovers. At least there are 8 different locations in Manhattan to try.

Great chicken fingers ... but even better mushroom poppers! I came here for an online pickup during the COVID-19 pandemic in June and, I won't go into details about their safety protocols, but they were in line with what you would expect nowadays. Only 3 customers were allowed inside at once and social distancing is recommended. As for the menu, for first timers, it can be a little overwhelming with the different options, but basically everything revolves around their chicken fingers. First, you select what type of chicken you want (fingers, poppers, grilled or veggie). Next, you choose the size of your order, which will determine how many pieces and sauces you get (small, medium, large). Then, you pick your sauce(s). And that's it! You can also make it a meal basket for a few extra bucks, which will include an order of fries, or you can order from their menu of various sides, but those won't be included as part of the basket. If you're not into eating chicken fingers alone, you can instead order a chicken sandwich/salad/wrap, but who are we kidding? If you're here, you're a chicken fingers lover! I placed my order online for pickup and on the online menu I noticed that there were a few items featured that I did not see at the location's menu. One of them being the mushroom poppers! How can that be left off of the physical location's menu?! My wife and I ended up ordering a medium mushroom popper basket (12 pieces) and medium chicken fingers (3 pieces). Both with classic fries. If you're very hungry, a medium basket will do the job because the orders were huge! In addition, they did not skim on the fries either. The boxes were so full, they couldn't even close them. First, the chicken fingers were delicious. Not overly fried and had plenty of flavor to them. They had some crisp to them, but not overly crispy. Really a solid chicken fingers. The real surprise were the mushroom poppers! What have I been missing all of these years? Perfectly fried mushrooms and they weren't your average mushrooms either. These fungi were enormous. The order could have easily fed 2 people. To be honest, it was one of the best things I have eaten in a really long time - whether it was a fancy shmancy restaurant, fast food joint or casual spot. It was THAT good. Sticky's feels like it has been open in NYC forever, but it's never too late to finally try it. The chicken fingers were excellent, but don't ignore the mushroom poppers because those are what I will absolutely be coming back for!

It may be pricey but this chicken and everything else I've had here is always delicious, finger lickin good. I'd honestly eat here everyday if I didn't care about you know cholesterol. The service is great and if you find yourself drooling and staring at the menu too long the staff has great recommendations and samples. Definitely worth coming to more than once. read more

Omg, this chicken is heavenly!!! Sticky's is the perfect place to go for a no-fuss chicken meal. Their chicken poppers were my favorite. We also had batch of their chicken strips drenched in their signature sauces. It was also delicious. Their cheese and bacon fries are to die for!!! Only word of caution is that this is NOT the place to go to if you are in a health kick. Save your calories and splurge on their very best! read more

Order this off Seamless on one of my many "cheat days" for the week (well basically everyday is a cheat day for me currently). This was a recommended to me by a friend who has also ordered from them off Seamless. Order arrived, and temperature of food was just fine. I ordered both the chicken poppers and the chicken tenders along with an order of fries. Poppers: These are the perfect size. Not too small and not too large. They fit perfectly into my mouth in one big bite. Or you bite half and bite the other half after. You get a choice of more sauces with the poppers too. I love all the aioli sauces. Also the Spicy Thai sauce was great. Tenders: larger than the poppers and most likely healthier. I think the amount of chicken you get between the poppers and the tenders is about the same, but there is more fired skin around the poppers than there is around the tenders. Cajun Fries: My only gripe is I wish they had separated and boxed the fries individually rather than mixing them in with the chicken poppers. Over time, the fries became soggy. Fries were still well seasoned though. read more

I went yesterday and the service was nice overall. I got a chicken sandwich with cajun fries a cola, and it hit the spot. The fries got cold very quickly but I mean they are shoestring fries, those don't retain heat too well overall. The food was well seasoned and cooked thoroughly and it was enjoyable overall. This place is a cute little "hole in the wall" restaurant with a couple of tables to sit inside. There is no public bathroom which I found out the hard way when I assumed there would be given they serve food. However the chicken at this place is so good and the specialty French fries were amazing. I would say pricing wise it is mid-tier but luckily the quality of the food is worthy the mid-tier pricing. They offer a lot of options too depending on how hungry you are. If you want one chicken strip you can do that. If you want 4 you can do that too. I would def. come back here if in the area. read more

Anytime I'm in the city and about to go out this is my go to spot for a quick bite either before the night begins or once my night is done. Their chicken fingers are extremely tender and always cooked to perfection. The prices are extremely fair and the amount of sauces they have, oh my. Sometimes it gets hard to choose between a few so I always get a few extra just to take a few dabs of it. Seriously tho their chicken is always fresh, fries are awesome and sauces are awesome. Great little place to go to either before your night out, after or even in between. Will deff continue to come back. read more

I've been to Sticky's a couple times and the chicken is good but not like everyone hypes it to be. Personally I like the fries better. I've tried a few different sauces and the best in my opinion was the bbq, which is the most basic of all sauces. The chicken just always seems a bit dry to me, and I've had the tenders as well as the little poppers. I usually will enjoy the first tender and then by number 2, I'm over it. I know they have chicken sandwiches too, so maybe I'll give that a try next time. read more

Being pretty much a Yelp snob, restaurants with less than 4 stars tend to slip under my radar. But thank god my friends decided on ordering Sticky's for our St. Patrick's day post-game food. I live so far from here but have been always wanting to venture into the city to try this place out after following their Instagram page. I was so worried I'd be disappointed but let me tell you, it was SO worth the trip! I had the chicken poppers & fries combo, and I tried their sticky's sauce, chipotle aioli, and ranch sauces. I can't say enough about this place. I actually went back for seconds. Please bring sticky's to Long Island!!!! We need places like this out by me!!!! read more

We really used to like this place. However, recent developments have changed our opinion. Portions used to be huuuuge. My wife and I could hardly finish a medium size basket (chicken poppers + fries) together. The price portion ratio was excellent. Yesterday we went there again and ordered a large basket. Didn't know if we should laugh or cry. Not even a handful of fries in there. Remember - "large" basket. We went to an employee and asked if that could be fixed or if this is the way it's supposed to be. The girl got almost cranky and told me that's how they have to do it. This whilst the price has not gone down at all. Don't recommend this place anymore. read more

Sometimes a girl just needs fried food. Sticky's is the perfect place for your cheat day - fried chicken in tender or popper form, in a sandwich or atop a salad. You get the most bang for your buck out of the popper baskets, in my opinion - a small basket (8 poppers - kind of like chicken nuggets, but larger and more breading - plus fries) is plenty for the average appetite. It comes with a sauce, which is arguably the best part - Sticky's has something like 20 different sauces, from the classic honey mustard to garlic aioli and hot sauces. My favorites are the chipotle aioli and mac sauce (cheese sauce with jalapeños). They also have a few signatures if you're overwhelmed by choice - the honey BBQ club is great (BBQ sauce, honey, bacon bits, cheddar, and fried shallots). Honestly? You really can't go wrong. read more

Simply put, Sticky's has to be some of my favorite chicken strips, ever. And boy oh boy do I love chicken fingers. It's a small place, not a lot of seating, but the atmosphere is lovely. Staff super friendly when recommending sauces and just having pleasant banter. The fingers were large, juicy, hunks of meat with a beautifully delicious breading. What more could ya ask for? If you like chicken strips give this place a try. read more

Sticky is right. What a cool little fast gourmet chicken finger restaurant. Small shop with limited seating and a menu with crazy toppings for your chicken and fries that you would think wouldn't work but they do. You can get your meal in a basket, sandwich or on a salad. We tried the Vampire Killer Chicken. (vampire aioli, grated parmesan, garlic chips and pink peppercorn flakes). Now if you love garlic like I do this is amazing. The chicken was crispy and the sauce nice and creamy, the name is perfect! Next was the truffle parm fries. The fries were nice and crispy and loaded with truffle parm. Then we had to try their crazy concoctions. We tried their salted caramel pretzel chicken. (caramel, pretzel salt and fried pretzel bites). I have to admit it was amazing. Between the crispy chicken and gooey caramel, it had the perfect sweet and savory taste. To finish we tried the s'more fries. (Chocolate, marshmallow and graham crackers). It totally worked. How perfect to get your side dish and desert all in one. What a great concept. It was definitely worth checking out! read more

Love their chicken, all boneless and white meat only. The meat is fresh and battered in the right way, a little not too much crunchy outside and tender inside. However, their cashiers seem like sleepyhead and in bad mood always, most of the times, they can't make the orders exactly right. Seriously, at least 6+ times I have counted, either put in wrong items on the receipt or make me wrong orders...... Come on service!!! PS. For each extra sauce will be charged $0.93+tax more...... I remember some Popeyes store extra the sauce as well, but they charged $0.25 instead. read more

This place dishes out batches of fried goodness that will sustain your chicken finger cravings. The chicken doesn't disappoint, it's crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Make it a basket, and you'll get yourself a side of delectable fries. We got take out and brought it back to our hotel. We ate it maybe like 10 min later instead of completely fresh. It was pretty good. The Cajun fries and tenders were really good. We got it with the Thai sweet chili sauce. We also got the popper nachos. They were pretty ok, nothing amazing though. It wasn't very crispy because of the sauce and time we took. I really recommend the tenders and fries though and they have a lot of other interesting sauces to try. read more

I tried their nacho chicken, chicken with wasabi dressing and lettuce, and chicken with their signature dip. They were all good! The nacho chicken was the most interesting because it wasn't just fried chicken, but came with chips, sour cream, etc. We also got their fries with a lot of bacon bits and two vegetable dishes (broccoli and brussels sprouts). There are a handful of antidotes that can resuscitate me from a work-induced coma, complete with symptoms including Glazedover Opticals, Pulse Or Lack Thereof, Mr. Brainwashitis, and Numb Mousehand. But the most successful of the antidotes is the coworker-prescribed question: "Are you interested in Sticky's for lunch today?" Consider me alive and well. The first time I was asked this life-saving question I made the grave and [apparently] offensive mistake of admitting that I did not know what in the Sam Hill Sticky's was. During the five minute walk to Sticky's from my office building, my coworker ranted and raved about the chicken. Has anyone ever talked about chicken fingers for longer than five full minutes? Can chicken be THAT good? Can anything be THAT good? Is man inherently good? (I learned later, after eating the chicken fingers, that asking Camus-territory questions was a side effect of the antidote). Sticky's Finger Joint (or "Sticky's") is a tiny corner shop with a huge heart. The attention to detail in the graphic design of the joint was not lost on this designer; nothing gets me more excited than hand-drawn illustrations and a custom logotype on a well-thought-out menu that ties into an overall store aesthetic and experience. The menu is equally overwhelming and exciting. I firmly stand by the life rule "when in a restaurant named after a food item, you must order said food item." The eponymous Sticky's Sauce was so deliciously unreal I almost fell into another coma. Queue antidote number 2: THE CHICKEN. Where are the words to describe these chicken fingers?! I have had some good experiences at Stickys. The chicken fingers are pretty good. I didn't really understand the menu sizing for the items and the options well when I initially ordered so I was a little frustrated when I ordered too small. However, these are the lessons you learn. While I was there, I watched the staff deal with a difficult customer who was being really ridiculous and they did so with a level of respect that I would not have been able to maintain. read more

Definitely want to go back and try some other items. Overall it was pretty good, I don't think it lived up to all the hype but maybe I just didn't order the right things! Really salty but really damn good chicken and fries. The fingers have the perfect level of crisp on the outside but are still tender inside - they were sooo good just on their own that I barely used my sauce. I also got a side of cajun fries which were an absolute salt bomb, but couldn't deny they had great flavour. Small place in midtown east to grab a quick, delicious (possibly drunk) bite. I stumbled in here after drinking and entered Sticky's with the hunger of a thousand wolves. Had this spot bookmarked forever, but hadn't found myself anywhere near the place. Finally, I made my way to the counter and hoped they wouldn't disappoint me. They did not! I had a hankering for truffle fries, but honestly can't remember which variety of chicken sandwich I ordered. Needless to say, this was a finger-licking experience and successfully soaked up some of the wine in my stomach. I think the eggs are cooked with cheese, and as someone who typically does not eat cheese, I didn't mind it. I don't know if I'll be back again - I think the concept of an asian twist on the classic diner does sound intriguing but difficult to execute. I also wasn't a big fan of the wait time. If you typically like heavier, diner food then this spot might be the place for you!

I thought the mala levels were just right, but it may be on a bit on the lighter side compared to authentic. The lamb spine came in a delicious broth, but it was a bit hard eating the lamb from the bone for not a lot of meat. The house steamed fish was also amazing. They don't take online reservations for groups over 5, so we called to make one for our group of 6. It was pretty busy Friday night, so would recommend. The service was great; they drew the cutest card when they found out it was my brother's birthday and let us bring a cake. And they also offered hair ties to the people with long hair. You order through an iPad which has a beautiful menu.

Tasty 8000 calorie chicken...SLOOOOOWWWWW ASS service!! Having lost my favorite (and last) Third Avenue deli to this place (so sad, you can't even find a damn deli on 3rd Ave anymore near 34th, and no I don't mean 2nd Ave Deli!) I was curious to try their claimed "best chicken in the world" or whatever. While their fingers may be delicious (and surely 1000 calories each...is it legal they're not posting this on the menu, BTW?) the staff, organization and operation of this place is ABYSSMAL!!! This is a "one item" joint, with a simplistic menu that really focuses on just one staple product (much like 99 Cent Pizza, or the all $14-18 burger joints that are in vogue now). The entire order taking process from start to finish drudges along at a Grandma's pace, with each order seeming like a new challenge to the young staff apparently untrained and unfamiliar with the basic operations of things like a cash register, credit card machine, or, oh yeah, serving the product. I've tried it 3x and average time to take an order (3 chicken fingers with 1 sauce, with 200 pieces of chicken and sauces sitting in plain view 2 inches behind the counter) was 5-15 minues PER ORDER! The kids working there are way more interested in smoking a nife fat one before their shift...or perhaps they think they're on vacation? I'm sorry, but this is supposed to be "fast food". Last (and hopefully, THE last) time I was there, I had 1 order ahead of me. Instead of dishing out my order in the 20 seconds it would take any normal person to do this, the guy just sat there adjusting his hat and attire while 3 other people stood behind him casually adjusting merchandise. His response? "Oh, I just work the cash registerr." HELLO!?? Put down the doob and help out, there are 2 customers and 5 people behind the counter!! When I suggested this was a failing business model (there's NO WAY this place can be profitable, knowing the rent they must be paying for this 3rd Avenue prime Murray Hill location, working at this pace!!), instead of apologizing for his staff's lackadaisical attitude, the young punk manager immediately ran over to the register and doled out my money back. NOTE TO OWNER: IF YOUR STAFF COULD TAKE / FILL ORDERS AT THE SAME SPEED YOU HAND REFUNDS BACK TO DISSATISIED CUSTOMERS, YOU'D HAVE A WINNING BUSINESS MODEL!!! I can't believe they had a Greenwich Village location, also...but there's no way it can operate at this kind of pace in that area and survive! I took my busines to SubWay across the street instead and was out in 3 minutes with a $6 footlong. Take a hint: Here's someone who knows how to run a business. I give this place 6-8 months.
