I ordered 2lbs shrimp through postmate and only 1/2 lb (8pcs) arrived. Postmate only refunded me $5 when I had to pay extra $25.99 to get 2lbs shrimp. I called this branch and they said nothing they can do because the driver could have taken out food from the bag. Well first of all they didn't close or seal anything. This is a nice place to come for the typical seafood-in-a-bag type of experience. You can't beat it being directly across the street from Porto's Bakery. Our waiter waa super cordial and funny. Roughly a lb. of king crab legs, potatoes, and 2 corns ran $35+. The sauce is on the thin side but the flavor is good. For dinner, I went with the Stinkin Special for both my half pound of crawfish ($8) and half pound of shrimp ($9). I also asked to add the Awesome ($4), which is one corn, 4 sausages and 2 potatoes. They use to not charge for the Awesome. The crawfish wasn't live and was from frozen. It was apparent and not very good. The shrimp was good though. The flavor of the Stinkin Special did kinda lack in flavor. They use WAY less garlic than other popular crawfish houses. That can be a good or bad thing depending if you like garlic or not. The corn was alright. It was sweet. The sausages are thin here unlike other places. The two potatoes were good. Not sure if it was worth it to add on the Awesome. I thought pricing was comparable to other places but food was not. The service was excellent. The waitress was extremely nice, the food came out fast, and anything we requested we got right away. We came on a weekday afternoon, only two waiters and our waitress was only around to take our order and disappeared the rest the of time. She even "forgot" to let us know they sold out of crawfish when she took our order. Never checked on our food nor drinks. On top of that, the flavors were lacking that afternoon. We have to waved down another waiter to get our bill. But! If you come here for dinner it's another experience. Everything was fresh and delicious! Staff are friendly. It would have been nicer if they have a seating area for Togo orders. If you come by on a weekday evening when they're not too busy you can just grab an empty table to sit down while you wait. We ordered the Stinkin Combo which came with white shrimp, clams, mussels, and crawfish, 4 potatoes, 8pieces of sausage and 2 corn. I liked that it came with these extra items because other restaurants charge extra, but then again, this bag was $40 so yea, I would have to make the math to see what is more convenient. This was good enough to feed 2 hungry adults. We also ordered an order of garlic bread (7/10), and a drink and the bill total was $57. Which is like I said, standard price. There are two combos that are $39.99 one comes with crawfish (like we ordered) and the other with no crawfish but more of the shrimp, clams, and mussels. In my opinion, I would say to go with the one without the crawfish. They are heavy and barely have any meat, not worth it. The service was good, all the servers were attentive and nice. Only one order arrived, and it was way after we got the rest of our food. We all figured it got forgotten. - We ordered the shrimp lover plus a pound of crawfish. We made a special request of making it mild MILD MILD, milder than mild, if possible. But nah. It was just as spicy as the last time, if not spicier. Doable, but still a little too much to handle. (Most of us couldn't do more than mild, hence, the special request.) OTHERWISE! The shrimp, the clams, the mussels and the crawfish was amazing. The calamari, albeit arriving at our table late, was also seasoned, made-to-order delicious. Ditto the fries. And we were told by Tim off the bat that Happy Hour was ALL DAY, and since it was $1 oysters, we ended up ordering 3 dozen. And they were fresh, fresh, FRESH. And the reason why I say Tim was a great server is for a couple of reasons: - He knew how to interact with the little girl we were with. "Deep fried Oreos are free, so if you want 3, or 20, you shall have it!" - He was apologetic about the delay on the calamari, so to make up for it, he comped us 3 bottles of beer - the same three bottles the three beer drinkers ordered earlier. - He was swamped as it seemed he was the only server for the night. With that in mind, he found a way to make sure we had everything we needed anyway. So, it wasn't for him, it might have been a less than stellar experience. This place is a joke!! Showed up for lunch at 12pm and the doors were locked. There was an employee at the back of the restaurant just staring at us. We waited to see if she would open the doors and never once came over, when i tried to wave her down she would look up then walk to the back. One of the better locations from this franchise. I've also been to their paramount, Lakewood, and Gardena location. This location sits in a busy plaza with other popular chains and businesses that you can venture through. When I come here, I always ordered a pound of shrimp, and a pound of crawfish in their special sauce flavor, which is a combo of all their sauces in a medium spice level. It's fairly good. Nothing stands out differently compared to other businesses that are competitors in the Cajun/creole seafood game. They do offer $1 oysters which is always a bonus. I don't think their oysters are the freshest but it does suffice and I haven't gotten sick yet so we are good. lol I wish they had cholula hot sauce for this though. They also give you free dessert which is a deep fried Oreo and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It's always a nice little bonus.
