One crab cake was $44. It was delicious but not worth $44 for one crab cake. *I am editing my review after receiving that generic response that was sent to numerous people. Came here during happy hour weekday! The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived and we were seated immediately. They had a lot of great deals on the menu, and we wanted to try them all! Ultimately, we tried the STK burger, which came with chips on the side. The burger was HEFTY and actually filled me up SO much! We also got tater tots on the side, which were more cake-y than what you would expect. The ambiance is overall modern, electric, and hipster. The service was very, very attentive and kind. There is free parking in the nearby lot around the corner. Overall, would recommend at least the happy hour menu- will have to come back to try the regular menu. read more

If you have high expectations, don't. Arrived for an 8:15 Valentine's Day reservation, seated at 9, and food finally arrived at 10. This was my first time going in person. My only prior experience was a take-away burger and fries, as I live nearby. The good: -The drinks were great. -The wait staff were phenomenal. -The company I brought along. -The fact that the music was loud enough to cloak my loose mouth from all the drinks I ordered. The bad: -The wait for food took too long. -When they did arrive, the steaks were overcooked until dry, even though we ordered them with a little more moo. By that point, we were so hungry we just ate it and moved on. -There were waves of a strong sewage smell coming from the restrooms. To be fair, it was packed wall-to-wall in there. I expected to be seated sooner since I had a reserved time. We ordered 11 drinks, five Valentine's menu items, a salad, and a steak. The total plus tip came close to $800 (My budget for the night was $1200, so cheaper than expected). TLDR: Lower your expectations. Drinks are good. Service is great. Food is mid. Going during a holiday is not for the faint of heart. Reservations don't guarantee timely seating or eating. Be prepared to pay $$$, this ain't the Outback. July 15th @ 6:10pm I was clear about having a life threatening egg allergy in my order to the bartender who acknowledged it and included the note in the ticket to the kitchen. The first time the burger arrived with their special (mayo based) sauce. I caught it before biting in thankfully, and sent it back. The second time it arrived with A FRIED EGG ON THE BURGER. I don't know if the cook was intentionally trying to kill me, but this was gross negligence and could have resulted severe bodily harm or death. If the server hadn't dumped water on me, or if they'd taken something off our bill because, hey, we're sorry about spilling water on you, it would have been two stars (fun ambience, good tuna tacos) Our meal tonight at STK Bellevue started out so well and by the end, we were out $350 and we couldn't wait to leave. We were very excited to come here on a Saturday night at the tail end of Seattle Restaurant Week - we love SRW and spend hours researching which restaurants we want to go to, either through SRW or afterwards. We were promptly seated at a great table and our drink order went in as well as a request for appetizers. We liked the fun floral decor, the music, the sparkly pink and multicolored LED lighting. And then the food started arriving... The calamari was overcooked, very brown and chewy, and "out of a bag" says dining partner. Sauces were uninspired. I appreciated that it came out searingly hot along with two freshly blistered shishito peppers; the fried Thai chiles that came with it were incendiary and didn't enhance the dish. Dining partner's Old Fashioned took a long time to arrive and was really watery and one-dimensional, certainly not an interesting or worthwhile $22 cocktail. We decided to get the SRW menu ($65 pp) as it looked intriguing and it's what got us in the door to try the restaurant. We were very happy with our other two appetizers. The tuna tacos were delicious, three crispy taro shells holding guacamole and a generous amount of diced tuna garnished with microgreens. The half dozen oysters were fresh and tiny - possibly Kumamotos? - and the cocktail sauce, a you-mix-it ketchup with grated horseradish on top, was fabulous. Several tiny shell pieces in the oyster, maybe more than expected, but the oysters were very petite so maybe difficult to shuck? The mignonette was meh, very heavy on the vinegar. The salmon was OK but slightly overcooked and the cloyingly sweet maple chipotle sauce extracted joy from the fish. Two split cherry tomatoes in a smear of olive paste and three stems of broccolini garnished the dish. The guys both ordered medium rare steaks and they came out seared on the outside and completely raw all the way through - you know, when it's 1/8 of an inch of sear and the rest is just cold raw meat. Both steaks had to go back. When they came out, they'd been replated with the same damn potatoes which were now cold and the steaks - the same steaks, cooked some more - were more on the medium side then on the medium rare side. Served with another super sweet sauce that didn't enhance the food. Dining partner didn't even finish his potatoes... and he loves potatoes. But no one loves a cold potato with their overcooked steak. Mac & cheese was bland, truffle fries were OK and came out hot which was great. And while I was waiting for their food, and my salmon was getting cold - our waitress dumped a good glug of water down my back while doing refills. She realized what had happened and brought me a napkin, but it had soaked through my sweater and into my shirt and there was no drying off to be had, especially with a stain-proof non-absorbent napkin. She was very good about keeping our glasses refilled, which we all appreciated, and attentive about service. Bussing was so eager to pull plates from our table that the busser pointedly asked me to move so she could get at the plates - sorry, that's not what is done for good service. You could tell there was pressure to turn our table sooner rather than later. We'd all ordered Apple Crumble and it was terrible, probably made at some factory foodservice place offsite, oddly crisp preserved apples soaked in some type of Expandex tapioca starch glop, a "dessert" that was more sweet thick sauce than fruit, and somewhere in the middle of the goo was the occasional crunchy bit of crumble. It was closer to canned apple pie filling than anything with fresh apples (and we're in Washington - we have excellent apples here.) The ice cream was by far the best part but none of us finished the dessert, and we all love apple based desserts. During dessert the restaurant dropped the lights, passed out extremely syrupy shots, and cranked the music up to 94 db. This may or may not constitute fun for you :-) When our bill came, we were stunned to see that there was no "gee, we're sorry water got dumped on you" factored in. Long overdue review from April 2023. 4 stars for the entire experience (vibe, service). Inside is dimly lit and very pink. We were told it's "vibe dining". My rating: 3 stars for vibe (u prefer to see what I'm eating), 3.5 stars for food, and 5 stars for service. My husband spilled most of his cocktail because the watermelon garnish was too heavy his drink kept tipping over, and our waiter felt bad she gave us a drink voucher at the end. We ordered Crispy Calamari for appetizer, and shared a Wagyu Special. The calamari was not bad, but the wagyu was not worth the heavy price tag. I was drawn to the bone marrow but was disappointed. Seattle Restaurant Week Menu -- 3 course meal, $65 - Starter: Tuna Tartare Tacos (3) - haas avocado, taro shell, soy-honey emulsion - tartare was bland. I asked my companion's lime from his Mule drink in hopes of adding some flavor. - Entrée: Steakhouse Skirt 8 oz., confit fingerling - parmesan gremolata - chimichurri sauce. Our server asked if I wanted some toppings or special butter with it (for an extra charge). I said I would think the chimichurri sauce would be sufficient. She said, "but the steak is only cooked in salt and pepper" and asked me again if I wanted toppings or butter. I felt she was pushing the extra charges to up her tip. I passed on it. I wanted to taste how they season the their steak as is. - Dessert: Baked Apple Crumble with salted caramel ice cream (according to the menu, but the ice cream was vanilla which is fine). The Guava Berry Kiss Cocktail was kid of strong for me. My sister who was with me ordered the Watermelon. Spiced Watermelon cocktail and it was a lot more refreshing than my drink. The miso glazed Chilean sea bass was pretty good. It was tender and the bok choy was nicely cooked. The chocolate cake was definitely the best part of the meal. It was rich and flavorful. The day before, l received a message asking me to confirm my time so that my table wouldn't be given away, and I confirmed it right away. When I arrived at the restaurant exactly at 5:15, I was told I would have to wait 1-2 hours for a table. When I asked why, since I had booked days in advance and confirmed my reservation, the hostess just shrugged and said, "We are busy." What is the point of having an online reservation and confirmation system if guests still have to wait for hours? However, over the years, the atmosphere has deteriorated due to the crowd becoming extremely loud and disruptive, showing little regard for other diners. The inside of this place is super nice, with dim lighting and neon signs - I really enjoyed the overall ambiance of it. Throughout the night, our waiter was super attentive and friendly which is always very nice. For the happy hour items, they have it separated by price. I got the wagyu taco, but didn't realize that it was literally one single taco - for the price it seemed quite absurd, but it was Japanese A5 wagyu. The taco itself was actually delicious though, as the meat was so tender and the toppings and accompaniments were all so perfect. I also got the guava kiss cocktail which was super yummy. Sweet, strong, without an offensive alcohol flavor. I would come back to try some of the other happy hour menu items (in particular the tater tots and falafel looked really interesting), but probably not the taco again haha. Though my $120 waygu steak with bits of crab leg was cooked perfectly, it was seasoned with more salt than I could bear. At some point I had to stop eating because I just wanted to take it home and run it under water. I have never felt that way about any lesser steak. My waitress, as nice as she was, seemed super timid as if it was her first day working ever. A bit unsure of what to do. A bit awkward. Still a great experience. Except we didn't get the sparkly birthday flare on our dessert like everyone else did. Oh well. This place would be more enticing if it was on the rooftop instead of facing Bellevue Square traffic. It would make more sense if the prices were, at minimum, 25% lower.
