Oh ya!!! Tried this heavenly burger joint over the weekend. I ordered for pick up Saturday night because it was cold and rainy. I wanted to try everything on the menu cause it all sounded great. I wound up getting the stomps nachos and Texas dog I think was the name, my wife got one of the burgers and my son got the fried chicken sandwich, and we also had fried pickles and 3 brownies for dessert. Everything was really good and the portions were generous. I don't want to brag about the brownies too much, because I'm afraid that they will start to run out, but that's how damn good they are. We will definitely be going back and this spot will become a usual spot for my family. read more

I think that I would have to give it another try some other time, not soon though. The burger wasn't what I expected it to be. My kid ordered the Honky Tonk and I got the Jezzabelle. We ordered the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and let me tell you what... that was the best part of our meal. They're nice and juicy, full of flavor, the homemade ranch is to die for. And for the burgers, neither one of us were too happy with them. If you're into unseasoned meat, have at it! I couldn't even taste the raspberry chipotle sauce at all. The service is great! Great service on my first visit here and they were busy too. I started off simply with the simple cheeseburger - lettuce pickle tomato and mayo. I figured if this is good - the other more deluxe offerings should follow suit. Holy mackerel that burger was great! Juicy and flavorful unlike a lot of so called burger places. This place is hands down better than any fast food chain. The food is always fresh, made to order and they're very accommodating to dietary consideration if you merely ask first, including carnivore/low carb. The staff is outstanding, front to back, given the opportunity. Every now and then you get some customers who are never satisfied and like to take out their miserable existence on the friendly staff. Just today, there was a couple that lost their minds over a single dollar without giving the staff an opportunity to manage the issue. These people need to step back and see how ridiculous they are being but, instead, they'll probably post a negative review when, in fact, they themselves are to blame. The wait staff engage in thousands of positive interactions with customers who would not take the time to post a positive review yet this particular store is quite popular. Just a tip but if you're getting your car washed next door, there's a little pathway where you can walk over and grab a burger here while they detail your baby! It makes the time go by quicker and who doesn't love a burger while they wait? I decided on this place over my usual Al Basha because I needed a change and was really craving a burger. I was so happy to see that they offered a "lighter menu" with turkey, chicken and bison burgers. I decided on the grilled chicken burger with lettuce, onion, tomato and mustard with a side of sweet potato fries. It was HUGE! The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and didn't make the burger soggy. The sweet potato fries were still hot from the fryer and paired nicely with the chicken burger. I wanted some pie (I saw cherry and apple) but was so full from that delicious burger that I couldn't even chance it. Service was phenomenal and my waitress was a sweetheart. First, I must say that I enjoyed my first Stomp Burger more than my wife did. She rightfully complained to the staff that there was way too much salt on the burger patty and fries. I'm not particularly bothered by a lot of salt, but her burger tasted like someone spilled the salt shaker on it. My burger was a bit salty, but so were the fries, so maybe it was just a carryover taste (if that makes sense). I went to Stomp's for the first time today. The seasoned waffle fries were excellent. Crispy and perfectly seasoned. The burger meat was dry and burned. Also, it was overloaded with salt. It was the driest and saltiest hamburger I've ever eaten. This was my first time at Stomp's so I am not sure if this was how they normally cook their burgers or if there was a new cook. When I lived here, my wife and I would eat at Stomps once a month, so when we came down to visit some friends, we wanted to eat at Stomps--big mistake. We always used to get the skillet but make it dirty, but they no longer do that, so we tried a new style. I almost threw up after just a taste. The cheese was terrible. I've always loved going to Stomp's for a bison burger and onion rings. I've gone to the Bacliff location for years, since it was closer. I've started making the drive to the new location on Bay Area. It's so much nicer. It's cleaner. The food is delivered super fast. The basket of onion rings is massive. Our most recent server, Kirsten, was awesome. She clearly takes a lot of pride in doing her job well. She checked on us constantly and always made sure the drinks were full. She was the icing on the cake at this new location. Maybe fry mine a little harder for more of a crunch but that's a personal thing. The burger however reminded me of how my mom used to make them at home. The restaurant itself was nice for a burger place. Staff was friendly and the food was served promptly and hot. Now let's get to the most important quality of a burger place, the hamburger itself. The ingredients, toppings, and veggies were really fresh and good. The patty though....it was thin and completely flavorless. I have the "Texas Tumbleweed" (grilled onions and mushrooms) burger and my son had the "Fried Egg" (self explanatory) burger. After eating the first half I was wondering if I the burger had too many mushrooms, or if they were particularly strong tasting, because that's all I could taste. I then took a bite of just the patty itself, and I could taste absolutely nothing. It was really strange. It wasn't just unseasoned, it was like the beef flavor was removed. Without saying anything to my son, I asked him what he thought, and he couldn't put his finger on it but said that the taste was bland. So everything about the burgers was high quality, but the hamburger meat itself was just not good. If you're going to have a slim patty it darn well ought to taste good.
