Stopped by this new restaurant a couple of weeks ago as I was leaving town on business. Had little while to kill before my flight and wanted a beer and some food. Grabbed a couple of local beers that were quite good. Stone Arch has a good selection of local beers which is really nice when you're in the airport. Had a bluegill sandwich since I thought it sounded interesting and very local. It was ok. The idea was very good and the fish itself was pretty good. It was too heavily breaded though. There was a very heavy breading on the fish and then it came on a bun. So.. the sandwich was 95% bread, 5% fish. If the ratio was brought into better balance, I think the sandwich would have been quite good. Neat place to stop and grab a bite and a beer. I think next time I'm sticking with the burger. read more

I'm a MN girl and I love all things MN beer- this place is my jam. I came a little early for a beer (I was there at 9:00 a.m.) so I decided to just get an orange juice with my breakfast. I was so happy when I saw a breakfast sandwich with SPAM on the menu! I didn't bother looking at my other options- I knew I needed it. The sandwich itself was good (I'm a SPAM lover). This is a nice find in the airport. I was excited to see they had a dark beer on the menu. I ordered a porter beer and then got inspired to order a harvest salad as it was walking by the bar where I was sitting. The bartender was attentive and got my ordered filled pretty quickly. I am sure I could/would have drank more if my flight was not leaving soon. Definitely a nice place to grab a beer, watch a game, and get something healthier to eat while waiting at the airport. I didn't rate it higher because it obviously would not be my first choice if given a better option but I must admit its the best option at this airport as far as I saw. Will definitely come back if I am stuck for a few hours or if my flight is delayed at this airport in the future. read more

I ordered the Blackened Salmon dinner to go and ate it at the gate before my flight left. The food was delicious and it was a large portion. It came with delicious roasted green beans and roasted potatoes. Everything including the service from Lindsay. She was very nice even though I was not eating in. Awful service. From the time we sat down to the time we got our food it was roughly 1 hour. We ordered eggs and toast and it should have been ready within at least 10 minutes. The server wouldn't stop by our table unless we asked her to. Definitely not worth $12 for bacon and eggs. We fly into MSP at least once a month and I will be finding other restaurants to patronize. read more

I'm usually rushing to get to my gate and never really have time sit down and eat at the airport; I also never thought I was missing much. However, I may need to start making an effort to get to the airport a little earlier, because if there's more food like this in airports than it's worth it. What mainly drew me in was I saw someone else eating a sandwich here as I passed by and after a quick check on Yelp, I was ordering the same thing. I ordered the Ruben and the flavor or the slaw was amazing not too sweet and not too mayo tasting. It was a perfect complement to the meat that was lean and not fatty. The fries were also a nice complement, they were crispy and seasoned well. Also, the service was very quick, but not rushed. If I ever find myself flying back here I will for sure stop by. Lol, I may even pick flights with layovers here just to eat that sandwich again. read more

The decor is what caught my attention. Felt local and in part was with a pretty robust local beer selection. Service was fast and bartenders were friendly. My meatloaf was pretty bland though. The meat itself could have used some additional herbs, green onion or something. The bacon around the rim of the meatloaf slice and BBQ ketchup on the plate just weren't enough. The mashed potatoes tasted more like sour cream than potato in addition to being cold. Highlight of the meal was actually the grilled green beans. They were delicious and not every salted. read more

Stone Arch sits just inside one of the two largest security entrances at MSP, so it is a perfect spot to grab a meal before your flight. I've had one meal there, and one to go thus far. I like the vibe, it is spacious (for an airport) with plenty of bar seating and lots of high and low tables as well. My first meal was a burger and fries. I often get burgers at airports because I feel they tend to me more made to order, therefore much better. It was just ok. My second meal was a salad to go. I asked for a few variations which they accommodated, but they brought me my to go salad with a greasy cover, and the side of dressing was ready to spill at the cover was crushed and half off. Thankfully I checked, noticed and cleaned it up before I left, but this was very irritating. I will give Stone Arch another try for a meal there, to see what else they have to offer. I want to really like this place as the location is great, and near my gates. read more

We stopped at Stone Arch to get a quick breakfast in before our flight. They had a small but decent breakfast menu, and we ended up ordering the french toast and the egg sandwich. We were both happy with our meals and I would say that the food is a solid 3/5. The reason for the two stars is based off of service. It wasn't bad, just extremely slow. Our food took a decent around of time, then we had to track our waitress down for the check. This may not have been such a big deal if this wasn't at a restaurant at an airport when everyone has a plane to catch. read more

I've been all around the world in airports and not only is the food VERY good, the portions are large and the service is FANTASTIC. I had the (3 segment) wings and a dinner salad. WOW, more than a dinner and some of the best wings I've had and they were baked, not deep fried. You have to try this on your way through MSP. Super fluffy bun with crispy grilled edges served on a little plate the exact size of the burger, superbly cooked burger, not what you'd expect from a humble airport burger joint, but they're bringing their absolute A game. Down the length of the small town's Main Street, stereo speakers are affixed to the brick walls--an odd gift from the town's Chamber of Commerce, playing soft rock day and night. At 1:30am, after leaving the craft beer pub, we've often stood under the speaker, marveling at the spectacle of Elton John being blared out into the otherwise icy silence of the sub-zero night. read more

Nice central location within the airport, friendly waitstaff, broad selection of drinks from tradition breakfast items such as coffee and orange juice to cocktails to local beer. Reasonable prices, vibrant place. Now for the not so great. When you're seated at your table there is a drink menu that starts off with "Welcome to Bloody Mary Country", that enticed me enough to order one since Anthony's in SeaTac Airport wasn't open when I was there on the previous leg of my trip. It tastes more like fermented tomato juice than what I myself would call a good decent Bloody Mary. It came garnished with a whole chicken wing, which was delicious, and a skewer with an olive, pickle, and celery stick. While there was Tabasco sauce on the table, I didn't think about adding some to give this Mary a kick. I should have. For breakfast I ordered the biscuits & gravy with two added sunny side up eggs. When they arrived the presentation was great as far as it goes for a simple breakfast. The gravy was thin despite saying it is a sausage gravy. The biscuits, while good, really good, were too thick for such a thin gravy. This is my first time to Stone Arch, and despite the I initial disappointment I do believe I'll come back here again. I'll just avoid the Bloody Mary and the biscuits & gravy. read more

It's always tough finding decent food at an airport, and this looked promising but was just ok. The waitress was rushed and seemed constantly overworked, but was mildly friendly. I was sitting at a table where I could easily see the cook line, and my food sat in the window for 10 minutes before it was brought to me. Fortunately it was still decently warm. I got the "airline chicken" and potatoes - overall it wasn't terrible, but only somewhat satisfying. Cooked carrots shouldn't still be crunchy, so they could have been better. read more

Service isn't fast, which other reviews have noted in detail. And I get the irritation... you're looking for some quality grub, maybe a brewskie or two, but need to get to gate E16 before they call your coveted, and only semi-exclusive, Group 2. But alas, the food here takes longer than your standard McD's. But it's worth the wait. The juicy Lucy burger I enjoyed here was one of the best burgers I've ever consumed. Airport or otherwise. Worthy of 4 stars on its own. But then... They say all the right things about "local craft" beer... and they deliver. Being a self dubbed beer snob, I take pride in my appreciation for and knowledge of the craft beer. (Pliney is my homeboy). But this place... this place has an entire beer list of local breweries that I've never heard of. And most of it is legit. Welcome to that coveted, and only semi-exclusive, 5 star rating. read more

I so wanted and expected this to be a nice experience; however, looks can be deceiving. I visited around 800 PM on the 18th and was greeted by a nice server by first impression. The beer selections are amazing; however, quite pricey even considering it's an airport location, $9 for what appears to be a 20oz draft (menu does not state size of pour). I settled on a Kölsch which was, light and crisp; however, the one drawback was when the server sat it down on the table she had her hands wrapped around the rim of the glass, never a good sign. In watching the bartenders and other servers it would appear they all do this, even after watching one buss dirty glasses from a table by sticking her fingers inside the glasses, yukk! My server was not the most helpful or engaging and didn't seem too enthusiastic on making suggestions, I ordered the Cobb salad and asked her about available dressings and she seemed to be less than acquainted with the choices. I opted for the orange sesame dressing which when tasted seemed like nothing more than a spicy teriyaki, thick, salty and no orange flavor at all. I then asked the server to bring the dressing they suggested which was a red wine vinaigrette, which looked good but had very little tang, mostly oil as if it hadn't been stirred or shaken before pouring. The salad greens were fresh, diced eggs had the appearance of being commercially prepared, the bacon was greasy with very little flavor and a strange rubbery texture. I did notice on the menu the salad was to be served with grilled baguette which was missing, I asked the server if she could bring the baguette and she returned with dried out, plain thin baguette that crumbled when bitten. I brought this to the servers attention and she said they were out and this was all they ha left, no other options were offered. During this time they were closing down and on more than one occasion I saw servers buss tables and come back from the kitchen area chewing as if they were eating food from the kitchen area, again, not a favorable impression at all and not good sanitation practices. The server brought my check and the total was $26.50, I laid my card down and she returned and processed the payment. I filled it out and before I was even finished she swooped in and asked "is this ready?". I can understand a restaurant needs to close down but I consider behavior like that a bit rude and assuming. Overall, this restaurant has so much potential. It has a prime location, has some great sounding menu items, an impressive beer list and great decor; however, its just not up to standard as far as I can see. The staff needs to be re-trained in personal presentation, table side conduct and sanitation. Get rid of the blue jeans and gray t-shirt uniforms, they look sloppy and unprofessional. Food quality was fine. I had grilled (not fried!) catfish sandwich and a local beer, quite decent, I would order again for sure. However, service was surprisingly slow - to get a menu, to get water, to order a drink and food, to receive food, to pay. Everything was silly slow, and this is in the airport. I know they were busy, but they had many many staff working, and just very little attention to my section. In this case I wasn't in a mad rush to get to my flight. Otherwise I would have walked out, and I don't do that lightly. read more
