I don't know why I never tried eating here. I used to live right down the street from the mall & I never even bothered.. Until my friend forced me to eat there with her. I fell in love. I love their foccacia bread. It's soft & fluffy like I read in a previous review. Very tasty. I made my stepmom try & she's surprised how good it is compared to other foccacia breads. I always get the beef brisket sandwich with a caesar salad. Then I found out that the sandwich had avocado?!?! MY FAVORITE. I was too happy that day at the mall. When you look down on the plate, it's a pretty good amount of food. I always just finish half & take the rest home. It's like what...8 bucks a plate? Or idk, I forget b/c I eat at too many places that I get their prices all mixed up. But it's so worth it!!! Next time you decide to go shopping at Topanga, TRY THIS PLACE! Stone Oven is a great place to get a gourmet sandwich. I am the biggest fan of the Garlic and Basil Chicken Sandwich! Get it with a side of their pasta salad, so yummy. They freshly bake their foccacia bread & it just always smells delicious. You can watch it cook in the "Stone Oven"..haha..I'm an idiot. Anyways, I didn't give this place 5 stars because unfortunately their service just sucks. I work in the mall so I go to the food court quite often, and I ask the lady how she is because she just keeps glaring at me even though she has seen me before, and she looks at me and says "Yes, It's coming". What? I barely even finish ordering, why exactly would I be asking if it's coming? I'm not even joking..the people at the register always just seem miserable. Can't they just smile at least or at least communicate a little better? I wouldn't have even mentioned this incident if it was isolated but I have recieved this bad customer service repeatedly. These sandwiches are the business. I usually get the BBQ Brisket sandwich extra chipotle mayo - with the pesto pasta salad and a creme soda. It is crazy that this place is in a mall - but who cares when the food is this good. They bake the bread fresh and build the sandwich right there in front of you. I love this cause I can always yell "Can I get a little extra of that - Thaaaanks!" It starts with the smoky chipotle mayo and the super tender shredded bbq beef. Then they pack on the onion strings and the cheddar cheese and the whole thing hits the broiler. When the cheese is perfectly melted the sandwich is topped with creamy avocado - and there it is - heaven on freshly baked bread. read more

My favorite sandwich to get here is the BBQ Beef Brisket Sandwich, hold the Chipotle Mayo. The bread for the sandwich is freshly baked Foccaccia bread and it is absolutely delicious. I usually get it with a side of Garden Salad, and the croutons they use are the best croutons I have ever had. They bake their bread fresh... like irresistibly fresh. You can't NOT finish it... Their BBQ chicken sandwich is my favorite and when I am in the mood for a salad, I go for the one with goat cheese... Yum. I have tried a few others, and I love them all. The line is always relatively long, but it goes quickly. And they workers are very efficient and fast. Just one note, they don't always make an alteration you've asked for (i.e. no avocado) so I suggest watching them and reminding them once yours comes up... unless it's not really that important to you. read more

My go-to whenever I'm shopping at Topanga mall. I usually go for the BBQ beef or the hot ham sandwich, hard to go wrong with those. Decently sized sandwich comes with a side salad of your choice, potato and garden are usually what I get, depends if I'm feeling like being a little healthier or not. It's a little pricey if you decide to get a drink as well but it is mall food so its kind of expected; (Also because of the way this mall's food court works as well). First discovered Stone Oven when it was downstairs in the old part of the mall. Those were the days.... The most amazing sandwiches on the most flavorful bread. The foccacia bread is warm and fresh out of the oven... literally. You can see them take it out of the oven. My favorite is the BBQ Chicken Sandwich... You get to choose a side as well. I'm not really a big fan of sandwiches but this place specifically caught my eye! One of the workers were sampling their bread dipped in their different flavors of mayo and the bread is so heavenly! The proportions they serve seem average. If you're super hungry then it might not fill you up. You can either choose to make your own sandwich or choose one of their's. Their menu has a decent array of sandwiches and salads and the meat is savory to say the least. One of the best options at the Topanga Mall food court. They make their own bread (which is absolutely incredible!) They have a bunch of sandwich options including a BBQ Chicken & Cheddar one I would highly recommend. After scoping out the food choices, I thought this looked like a yummy place to get something none fried and maybe semi healthy. I noticed the bread is baked fresh right there, I mean it was literally pulled from the over and went straight to my plate. I ordered the goat cheese chicken salad and my boyfriend got the southwestern chicken Caesar salad. I was truly impressed. They must have some salad expert that hand picked the ingredients.
