Garlic and Basil Chicken Sandwich and Cesar salad
    Dana M.

It's been yeeeeears since I've had stone oven. I was in the mall shopping and decided to place an order since I was in the mood for a sandwich. I completely forgot about how much I LOVE their bread. So soft and flavorful. The bbq brisket sandwhich was really good but the garlic & basil chicken sandwich was better! We ordered both sandwiches with a side of Cesar salad...yummy! Since it is a weekday (evening), there was no line at all. The wait was about 5 minutes after the order was placed. Stone oven is located in the food court (Northridge mall) so there was plenty of seating inside and outside. Sometimes finding a clean table can be hard but usually I'll ask someone if they can clean off the table. Next time I am in the mall , I will order stone oven again (garlic basil chicken!)

Zoom in if you can't see. Ewww

All I could say is it's a nasty nasty place. There was cockroach in my food. This is disgusting. I am going to speak with my lawyer and sue this company.

Such good sandwiches!!! The bread is the most delicious bread I have ever had! It's like a sweet and savory pita bread! And it's so filling! It goes great with all the sandwiches! I honestly could just eat the bread itself haha. Also you can see them make your sandwich which is cool, and the ingredients looked fresh and tasted fresh! Pretty simple service, friendly and they try to make it fast cause it's the mall haha. Nothing super special since it's so casual Again A very casual place, no seating inside but it's at the food court so there is plenty of seating there! One of the best food court spots if you don't want to leave the mall but still have yummy food!

My wife and I stopped by this Stone Oven in the Northridge mall food court. We been to this mall so many time but never came to this Stone Oven. Today was the day because my wife wanted to get her spicy chicken sandwich. We came like 30 minutes before they closed so they were not busy at all. We were to put in the order right away and I also saw they don't have free refills here on the soda so be aware. My wife got Caesars salad for her side and we watched them make the sandwich in front of us. It didn't take long and we left to eat it at home. My wife really like the Spicy Chicken Sandwich from here and it's a decent size.

Super delicious!! Haven't eaten here in forever and honestly can't remember what I used to get. My bf orders from here whenever we go to the mall and I've had a few bites from his spicy chicken sandwich over time and it's always so good. I end up ordering or craving something else from the mall so I've never actually ordered my own sandwich till the other day! I ended up going for the garlic and basil chicken sandwich since I LOVE anything garlic and I loved it! Love the "bread" they use since it's closer to a pita bread and super soft. The pasta salad was a little over cooked but adding some habanero tapatio did the trick. Great quality food and service is so quick! Definitely coming here more often whenever we visit this mall. Food is great. They took out the could of tables they had to sit. Always busy but they are fast. I think they add a little too much anchovi sauce to the dressing. It tastes fishy.

I ordered my food to go. Got home and started eating the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and bit into a CHICKEN BONE! It cut my gum up and my mouth hurts so bad.

Been coming here for a while. Not once have I ever seen a cashier happy. The foods so good but why the employees look unhappy? ?

We had ground beef taco stuffed into warm double wrapped with cheese and served with shredded lettuce-tomato and topped slices of Avocado.?I asked for chopped onion and shredded cheddar and there fantastic salsa. We also ordered their rice pilaf (fantastic). For some reason I also wanted a cup of there fantastic (beef chili? It was sinful. I placed a spoonful of this luxurious chili on top the taco. I was in heaven. Everything I wrote was memorable. They also make steak taco-chicken taco and brisket taco. What a memorable meal. Irwin Z

Brent's Deli is an institution in the San Fernando Valley, and it may just be its best. One thing…read morefor sure, the portions are generally humongous so you will never leave hungry. Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars

The restaurant itself was spacious and well-organized, front of house was friendly and prompt. They were playing slowed down remixes of artists like Don Toliver ~ ok I loved that vibe *** I ordered the avocado sandwich + bacon, to go. The presentation was on point, well-thought out packaging provided structure so there wasn't a mess inside the box. The bread reminded me of French toast - it was buttery and crisp. Avocado was fresh and creamy, and the eggs were giving potato salad, which I enjoyed. I would have liked double the bacon for more texture, but other than that it was a hearty egg sandwich. I'd come back for a quick breakfast stop! Thank you, Egg Tuck

They prepare their eggs in a very specific, signature style. They are exceptionally soft-scrambled, rich, and velvety. Unfortunately, I ended up having an allergic reaction after eating it on two different occasions. It was severe enough that I actually had to go see an allergist to get tested. The whole situation turned out to be a total medical puzzle. I ended up testing positive on my skin allergy test, but completely negative on my blood tests, and I just recently passed an at-home food challenge test for egg yolk with zero reaction. Because Egg Tuck cooks their eggs so lightly and uses egg-based house sauces, the proteins are a lot less cooked than a fully hard-boiled egg yolk. My experience just goes to show how differently your body can react to highly soft-cooked eggs versus a strict medical food challenge. The fresh avocado and thick brioche bun were delicious. Loved it, but unfortunately due to reactions I will not be ordering again. If you have complex or conflicting egg sensitivities like me, definitely use caution here.
