    Deviled eggs

Food was amazing. We had the deviled eggs, the contrast Of balsamic and wasabi was delicious. Burger was juicy and flavorful. Great presentation and The place is quaint. Service could have been a tad more friendly. Our server was disengaged. Drinks were tasty.

During our visit to Jim Thorpe PA we found this cute, highly rated spot tucked in a building along Race St. Cozy, homey atmosphere we were greeted by our very friendly server, Holly. What a sweet woman, sat us at a great table for two that was on a raised floor inside a bay window, so beautiful. We started with a couple of craft cocktails that they featured, a Bourbon Mash. This might have been one of the best bourbon drinks we have had, made with Buffalo Trace, vanilla simple syrup, apple cider and ginger beer, delicious. Holly told us everything thing they make is from scratch and their menu changes all the time. Truly high end pub food. I heard the burgers here were awesome so I went with it. This 5.5 ounce house ground burger patty, grilled and served on house made bread, tomato and organic greens. Cheddar cheese & chipotle sauce was not the biggest burger I ever had but it might have been the best. Flame cooked, tender, juicy and flavorful. Came with a side of house made potato salad which was excellent. My wife loves BBQ and when she saw the Kentucky BBQ on the menu she had to go with it. Traditional southern slow cooked pulled pork served on house made bread, chipotle bbq sauce, pickled onions and organic greens. This was amazing, just as good if not better than places in Kentucky. Also a side of house made potato salad. What a great dining experience this was and we will be sure to come here again if we ever come back to Jim Thorpe PA.

When I read some of the bad reviews here, I really couldn't believe how stuck up some people are about the rules of specific places. Anyways, my fiancée and I were on a trip to celebrate our engagement in March, a rather cold time. We immediately felt warm and cared for when walking into Stone Row. Their menu changes daily, and it seems we found a good day for their menu. I had a Guinness (not draft, but that's just fine) and my partner had probably one of the best Shirley Temples known to man. I had the smoked mac, which was absolutely amazing and filling. My partner wasn't super hungry, so she opted for buttered pasta (a staple of hers), which she has now described as the best buttered pasta she's ever eaten. Our server, Holly, clearly has experience in hospitality and service. She was so welcoming and caring from the moment we walked in until we left happy and full. She even went out of her way to provide extra cherries for the Shirley Temple and extra Parmesan cheese for the buttered pasta, along with taking a picture of the both of us. If I were running a Michelin star restaurant, she'd be the first person I'd call. The pub is very hole-in-the-wall type (as most things are in Jim Thorpe) and it's very welcoming with soft lighting and a true stone-finish, borderline bard core look to boot. I felt comfortable in every situation I was there, and we will be returning whenever we are back in the area. P.S.: Didn't have the stomach to try the desserts, but the Earl grey gelee is something I will look for next time.

The Kim Cheeseburger with their mayo less house potato salad was great

Let's start with the space, had the opportunity to sit on the second floor at the bay window, beautiful views of a winter day in Jim Thorpe. Great drink list to compliment the view ! The black bean soup was delicious with a hint of cinnamon, the "a vicious rumor about carrots" tacos were great! As was the Kim Cheeseburger with a rice flour bun, will definitely be back to explore that weekly changes to the menu! Also want to give Holly her own 5 stars for the great recommendations, service and attentiveness !

    Family!

A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering! We were just looking for a place to eat and accidentally stumbled upon this absolute gem, and we are so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, but it was our server, Holly, who truly made the experience unforgettable. Holly was superb. She had so much knowledge to share, from the fascinating history of the building to detailed insights about the food and drinks. Everything they serve is made in-house, from the fresh juices in the cocktails to even the ruffage in the dishes, and you can really taste the difference. Holly checked in with us just the right amount, always with a smile and a great sense of humor. She had us laughing throughout the meal, which meant more than she probably realized. It was something we truly needed. We will absolutely be coming back. If you are lucky enough to be served by Holly, you are in for a real treat!

We went for lunch and got the BLT and burger. The biscuit the sandwiches were on was delicious and the burger had a great chargrilled taste.

We found this place because I was looking for somewhere I could get a beer and walk out and around the town of Jim Thorpe (I believe they allow it here). But ended up staying for the vibes and plus we were super hungry. I wish I remembered our waitresses name but I believe she had pink in her hair. She allowed me and my girlfriend to sample some beers that she thought we would like because we were hesitant and what to order. We got the sangria sour beer and the white ale which were perfect for us. We also saw online that everyone loved the smash burger so we had to try it. We added truffle fries for 3 dollars which was so worth it. Some of the best fries we have ever had. Also I think we decided it was the best smash burger we have ever had. We both have never tried bacon jam and we were a bit hesitant about the pimento cheese as well. I think my favorite moment from this trip was sitting at the bar here and eating this meal. Plus the burger lived up to the hype. Thank you to the waitress we had you made our day!

I ordered shrimp and scallop hibachi and it was incredibly oily and greasy, and the portion of shrimp and scallops was tiny. My friend also got hibachi and felt the same way. My salad was watery, and the clear mushroom soup tasted very strange. I couldn't take more than a bite of either the soup or the salad. For my entree, asked the server if I could please have extra vegetables instead of noodles, and she said that there was a "language barrier" in the kitchen, so she didn't want to ask that. I thought that was an odd comment for her to make. My daughter ordered some sushi rolls and liked them, and my husband and our friend also liked their sushi; so maybe sushi is a better choice here. The place is small and to echo other reviewers, tables are very crammed together and you will bump in to other people just by moving around. The place is cool looking on the inside and outside, definitely an interesting vibe, and they have a full bar. We did have to ask multiple times about the status of our beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). My drink was not good, it was a sake/lemon drop hybrid type of thing and it was insanely sweet - I couldn't finish it.

When we got their didn't realize it was also a bar, and the restaurant thought it was just a museum, so that was a nice surprise. They ask for a $5 donation or more to view the artwork if you'd like. There are many fun odd pieces to view. When we were about done the chef from the restaurant came over very nice guy, he showed us the hidden jazz club which was awesome!! He then walked us over to the restaurant. At the one table at the place, there was a clear wall, and you could see the spring going thru the restaurant. We decided not to eat. However, the menu did look very good, not huge, but still nice selection. We sat at the bar, chatted with a super nice bartender, and had some delicious drinks! Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.
