Pretty good! Came here twice for a business lunch, and apparently the fad here are the salads. They are HUMONGOUS! A petite will definitely fill you up, but if you up the ante, it's only like a dollar more and you can save it for dinner. I tried their french dip sandwich and it's just okay. Dining in is cool because it's just like panera bread where they bring your order and they also stop by to make sure you're okay and to take away your plates. This place is all my friends go to spot. It's healthy, affordable, and the ambiance is great. I love their Golden State Kale Salad, South of the Border Salad, Roasted Cauliflower Pita, Cheeseless Roasted Veggie Pizza, and their BREADSTICKS! Those are my usual go to's. It's made of fresh ingredients and they don't use much oil to cook with (which a lot of restaurants do). Their mac n' cheese is also delicious. We went for a quick lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't really expect much because of the fast food feel when entering. Basically you order at the register and the food is brought out to you. I went with the pulled pork sandwich and a side of their peanut cole slaw. The sandwich was good and the some BBQ sauce had a bit of a kick. The slaw was a bit dry but good, however it doesn't stand up to Wood Ranch's version. (03-8-19) Update from my most recent experience at Stonefire Grill Winnetka location: We decided to give this Stonefire Grill another try after we had a bad experience last time. We figured it couldn't happen again right? Boy was I wrong because this place just keeps on making mistakes on top of mistakes. Let me tell you what happen this time. My wife and I ordered the Cobb salad with no tomatoes and no bacon. We asked the person who took our order if we can sub the olives instead of bacon and she said yes great it sounds perfect or so I thought. When we received our medium Cobb salad it came with tomatoes (which I am allergic to and the wrong dressing) so we sent it back. The person who took it back asked us how it was suppose to be so we told her Cobb salad with no tomatoes and no bacon but add olives. Before she brought it back she came back and told us our replacement Cobb salad won't have eggs cause they just ran out. What the hell seriously? Whatever, we said just add chickpeas then she said ok. Ok finally the moment of truth came when she put the salad down were they going to mess up again but it came out ok. Original Cobb salad comes with: Lettuce Chicken Blue cheese crumbles Eggs Olives Ranch Replacement salad came with: Lettuce Chicken Blue cheese crumbles Chickpeas Ranch Even the replacement salad was messed up because they forgot olives. Wow, surprisingly good and best of all.. SUPER AFFORDABLE! I came here with no expectations - I thought it would be a fast food type of joint, especially from the style of ordering. You stand in a line to make your order, and then you have to go search the restaurant for your own table. They then bring you the food later! Our party of 5 ordered a whole tritip, which came with a BUCKET (literally) of salad of your choice, and 12 freshly baked breadsticks. The tritip was perfect - extremely tender, juicy, smoked, and extremely flavorful without being too salty or overly seasoned. The salad could have been better but atleast everything in it was very fresh. The breadsticks were so warm and chewy, yet crunchy on the outside... We also ordered a 10" margherita pizza, which also was surprisingly good, despite the unimpressive picture of it on the menu. Most notable about the pizza was the crust.. I tried so hard to not eat it because of my excessive breadstick consumption, but the crust just called to me.. For sides, we ordered a whole roasted cauliflower, which had some crack lemon-tahini sauce tasting thing on it. It was seriously so good and didn't taste like cauliflower at all (for all you veggie haters out there). We also ordered mashed potatoes, which were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They left bits of the skin in the potatoes, and they had the perfect balance of sourcreamy/milky/potatoe-y/buttery goodness. Although our group of 16 ended up having to wait a while, all was forgiven when they came out with fresh breadsticks for us to sample while we were waiting. This review is based on take-out only. I've had stone fire like 3 times now, but I've never actually graced the floor of this establishment. The food is very tasty, fresh, and tastyyyyyy. The items I've tried here are the pizza, quinoa salad, tri tip, chicken, and breadsticks! The pizza is thin, the sauce is light, and the cheese combo tastes great. The tri tip is tender, easy to pull apart, and easy to eat. The chicken is super moist and seasoned with simply salt and pepper so you can really enjoy the chicken itself. I heard it's cooked low and slow. The bread sticks are AMAZING!!! They are like skinny versions of the ones from Olive Garden and packed with some tasty garlic. Stinky and delicious! I would like to come here on my own and look over the menu for myself. Id like to see what else they offer. But from wha I know now, this place is goooooood. Ever since I started working with my current employer, one of the main benefits of my job are frequent catering from a favorite restaurant. This location has two entrances: One for the Pickup Orders and the other for dining in. Make sure you are in the right line. When one family saw me pass them from the Pickup Line to the Dine-In Lane, I let them go first. They thought I was a regular. Nah, just first time here. I had my mother find a table and since she wasn't familiar with the food, I ordered for both of us. So, let's begin! With the suggestion of my coworker, I ordered a Medium South of the Border Salad with Tri-Tip ($14.99) and medium Mashed Potatoes ($4.99) and a full basked of 12 bread sticks ($4.99). The cashier, Vincent, was also going to be my server as well. **High Five** The one thing I keep forgetting is that you get your own plates before you sit down. Well, I sat down and forgot about the plates and utensils. So, GET YOUR DISHES & UTENSILS BEFORE YOU SIT! The waiter will not get it for you. With us struggling with the delicious salad, I had stuffed myself with the bread sticks. I had ordered a Full Basked (12 pieces) and it is the most addicting item on the menu. So, Olive Garden....WATCH OUT! As for mashed potatoes, they were good, not great. I say that because I ate it all. **tears** I wish my meal didn't end, but I saw more bowls of salad and other dishes passing through. I've been coming to all the Stonefire Grill locations for years (with exception to Irvine). Nice clean restaurant that serves great food in a casual dining atmosphere. The portions are usually family style, but individual meals are available. The BBQ Tri-Tip and chicken are delicious. You can get your chicken cooked bbq style or with lemon, garlic. Meh. I've experience better is correct. I went here recently with a couple of friends who wanted to try this place out. When we arrived, it was complete chaos. There was a hostess that took the number of our party and our name, and then a line where one waits in line and pays for the food. Once you have paid and you are seated, you wait for your server to bring your food to the table. Also, they have self-serve fountain drinks. They have bussers, servers, cashiers and a hostess, yet for whatever reason their system doesn't allow you to give them a tip...or perhaps you give the tip upfrount? Their system was a bit bizarre. I wasn't in the mood for bbq, but the rest of the table did so we got the family bbq meal with a large side of mac n cheese. I had the caesar salad (which was decent), the garlic bread (which was great), and the mac n cheese (which was quite delicious). The rest of table had everything I had along with a rack of bbq ribs and chicken. My bf thought the chicken was dry. My dining experience was alright. This place has become one of the restaurants my boyfriend and I like to go to when we are in the valley. Food is ordered and paid at the register, and then the waiters bring the food out to your table. The food comes out pretty quick, and all the portions are huge. We always end up ordering more than we can eat! The salads come in huge bowls (enough for a medium sized group), and a small bowl of pasta is enough to get full off of. My boyfriend and I always get the Lemon Garlic chicken--juicy and tasty! The breadsticks here are really good too. I'm always tempted to order the desserts, but I've never tried them since I'm always too full by the time I'm done with my dinner. We ordered the sesame glazed salmon which was a healthy and nicely seasoned chunk of fish. Got the full rack of bbq baby back ribs which were tender and fell right off the bone. Make sure you get their BBQ sauce! It goes well with not only the ribs but everything else. It's a lighter, sweeter type of bbq sauce and it's delicious! Had an order of the shrimp with quinoa. This dish had a large amount of oil in it. The shrimp were large and tasty quinoa tasted very citrusy and and a little on the soggier side because it was pretty much soaked in the oil (hoping it was olive oil atleast). They've got some amazingly large salads. We got the BBQ chopped salad with Tri tip. The large salad is HUGE and could easily feed a party of 6-7 people. The Tri tip was tender and overall salad was really good! The roasted cauliflower appetizer was good. Very soft and it was delicious dipped in their BBQ sauce. The ale carte entrees don't come with breadsticks, you get those only if you order the actual combo meals. We got tons of food for a very reasonable price and even had leftovers to take home. This place was super packed on a Saturday evening for dinner. You pretty much order your food and wait to be seated. The inside seating as well as outside is very nice. High ceilings inside with the lighting dimmed a bit which gives it a cool warm vibe. Great location and solid food! I've always loved Stonefire because of the expansive menu. There's always something for someone - even the picky eaters. For families, there are bigger meals with a lot of options for all. Who doesn't love BQQ? I will say that the servings are pretty big! We ordered 2 bbq meals and added a Mac and cheese for 2 people. We had so much food left over! We also tried half a carrot cake. The cake is soooooooo freaking good. I highly recommend if you like carrot cake! What I really like is that this location is pretty big with indoor and outdoor space. There's always parking as it's shared with a movie theater and other shops. The service is pretty good. The dine in area was clean and the bus boys were constantly cleaning tables to get people seated. Lived in chatsworth 20+ years. I've had stone fire as a nurse at work millions of time, at family gatherings etc. I've ordered out through the app many times. Went in this week while visiting as I recently moved and wow lol. Busy as usual and I went to the wrong line to order take out (I usually do it from the app but I was with a friend and we wanted to order inside) after I ordered I confirmed with the employee at the register that it was take out he literally looked like I committed the worst crime imaginable. He was loud and rude and awkward about the mistake I had made. Literally shamed me lol, over ordering in the wrong line. He called over the manager who was unbelievably rude. (I'm sure that man is burnt out as he looked exhausted and had ZERO personality or charisma.) the manager was equally as rude regarding my mistake for ordering in the wrong line. It's hard to seat 40 plus people in any restaurant. He was in such a good mood, went out of his way to offer me what I wanted before I could even think to ask once my good came, and overall his positive attitude and genuine happiness to be there made my entire day. I love when an experience feels authentic and not forced to ask people how their day is and actually mean it. This chain is always sooo delicious ! The meat is always so juicy and tender, and the BBQ sauce is so sweet and savory. I might be the weird one, but the BBQ sauce tastes so good with every dish, even the salad. My family super appreciated the courtesy and helpfulness of every staff member. Although obviously covid is happening, we were able to get a table. The wait was about an hour long if we wanted to sit inside, and no wait for the outside tables because it was a tad bit cold. The ordering process was super smooth and the food came out in a well timed manner. We craved for bbq baby back ribs and our cravings were well satisfied. After posting on Yelp my unimpressed take out kids' chicken strips and kids quesadilla last month, Justin, the business manager invited me to come back. I called in to Elsa, the manager on duty, for a take out order tonight. I was ready and expect to pay for the 1/2 tri-tip takeout order and possibly get the complimentary cheesecake desert. I came here for the first time last night. The menu has a great selection of dishes; a wide range of salads, pastas, pizzas, grilled meats, and sharing options for families. I split the Tri Tip (10-12oz is plenty for 2 people), with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Nutty Coleslaw. I would recommend both of those sides, and the breadsticks are really good too. I had a glass of the Ballard Lane Cabernet Sauvignon, which was pretty good for $6. The Tri Tip could have done with more of the BBQ glaze, as I felt it was a little dry, and didn't melt in my mouth, like Tri Tip should. It made me think of the Tri Tip at Woods Ranch, which is succulent, and has lots of glaze. And if you want more glaze at Woods Ranch, you can conveniently ask your assigned server to bring some, unlike at Stonefire, where you would have to go up to the counter to ask for some, because you don't have an assigned server. I did try my friends chicken breast however, which was nice and succulent. I do not like Stonefire's service model of very limited waiter service. I feel this model gives the vibe of a cafeteria, or fast-food chain, which does not match the quality of the food. You have to get your own drinks, and even your own melamine (!) plates. The server who brought our food, did not come back to check that we were satisfied with it. There are servers, but there is very little engagement with customers. I could not see a tip jar, and I didn't want to leave a tip on the table, because anyone could have picked it up! I am knocking two stars off my rating because of the following: -We were plagued by about 4 teeny tiny flies for our entire meal. I told the manager, who apologized, saying that they come in when the patio doors are open, and they do try and kill them when they see them. Stonefire, manual fly extermination is insufficient, please install bug zappers or an alternative, because it is neither pleasant, nor relaxing, to dine whilst constantly wafting away teeny flies. -We realized towards the end of our meal, that we never received the breadsticks. We had to go up to the counter twice, to ask for them. The manager said the kitchen had stopped making them. We ordered at 9.03pm, and the restaurant didn't close until 9.30pm. Please do not let the kitchen stop making breadsticks half an hour before you close, this does not make sense at all! -We wanted the Half Chicken. It was sold out, half an hour before closing, which was annoying! I would have knocked off more stars for the above, however, the manager did apologize, and gave us 2 extra breadsticks, and a full size of cheesecake to go, instead of the half size that we ordered, which made up for our issues, somewhat. The Valencia location beats this one out of the water. We had never been to this location. We always get the lemon garlic salmon because it is the best salmon ever. This location made it very dry and basic. The breadsticks here were hard. The ribs and chicken were good as well as the mashed potatoes which never disappoint but the beans side was nothing special at all. I would never recommend it. Stop. Just take a second and hear me out and read this whole thing BAD and GOOD. There are several reasons to like StoneFire Grill. However, you HAVE to avoid the pastas. The "meat" marinara looks good and and tastes horrible. It's does not resemble anything Italian. At. All. Avoid the pesto too. It tastes like basil and lawn grass. I swear I'm not exaggerating. Breadsticks were good. Bread. Butter. Garlic. The ribs are flavorless and ours had a bitter tasting char flavor. The brownie was dry, boring, and tastes like it's made with a cheap mix. I had something similar in a cheap buffet line restaurant. The cheesecake is light and tasty but people need more than blueberry being the only choice. The "chilequila" nachos are good but need more to it and it would be perfect. The tri-tip is the only this restaurant does right. All choices were overcooked BUT tasty and tender. read more

ok so its been a while since i've come but this time around everything tasted amazing. I think with amazing food comes amazing crowds. The place was packed and it was only a tuesday night. Reason being the chefs were doing an amazing job. Medium Raw is how I like mine but their tri-tip was amazing and so was their ribs. Terrible. Went here yesterday with my husband and little ones. Let's start with the bad: - ALL of the patio tables were filthy but only 3 were occupied. - Tri tip was soooooo chewy I couldn't chew it enough to swallow without feeling like I was choking - NO forks anywhere! Looked for some after we placed our order. Asked for some repeatedly. Waited 20+ MINUTES before any came out. By that point our food had been served and was COLD. and for some reason no one I asked would give me PLASTIC UTENSILS. it was odd. Needless to say we didn't eat our meal. - tortilla soup is more like a tomato soup. Which was extremely odd. - bbq chicken salad lacked flavor and was simply bland. The good: breadsticks. That's it. Total waste of money and time. Will not be back to this location. read more
