NOT GOOD. I actually don't write reviews but it was so bad being here that I had to log in and make my FIRST ONE! Yeahh... Basically the food comes out to you (or for us anyways) whenever it's done, so I had to wait 10 min longer to get my meal while watching my gf eat hers. Plus they forgot to bring my salad the whole time until I reminded them once I got my entree. SO BASIC! Its also pretty chaotic with runners bringing food all over the place. Not enjoyable or remotely relaxing for a nice dinner. The food was okay but you get what you pay for so I wasnt expecting much. There are much better restaurants for the same price point and yes you might have to tip but it seems to make all the difference here. I figure 2 stars since the tables were clean and the people in front that take your order were helpful. They were so nice that we changed our mind from almost walking out before we ordered. Not exactly what I expected. I thought it was a sit down restaurant, but instead you walk in and order then find a place to sit. We just missed the rush which was nice. Food was great. I got the ribs and chicken. Chicken was moist, not at all dry. Ribs were great and very tender. My only criticism on the meats would be the sauce. From what I gathered they only have one selection of sauce, which you can grab as much as you want yourself from a self serve pump by the drinks. Sauce was good just would prefer maybe a selection. Food came quickly, service was great. Very friendly staff eager to help. Manager came over to clear our table and ask how the meal was. Even gave us a complimentary carrot cake! Today I went to this fine establishment for the first time to give it a try. I was greeted and serviced by this fabulous young lady named Feaonnie. She was knowledgeable about the business and even helped me to save a few dollars. She went over and above the call of duty and helped me to pick a meal that was great for me. Awesome job Feaonnie!!! The food was FANTASTIC!!! and I would highly recommend Stonefire Grill to any and all who loves great food. I had the Lemon Garlic Chicken Breast with beans, mashed potatoes, salad, and for desert ,an amazing Brownie. Yep, I was a bit hungry. :-) To wrap up the fabulous service was her manger Mr. Louis Bogo. This is a fabulous team and a great place to eat. Kodoos to Stonefire Grill!!! My sister and I wanted to grab something to eat after we shopped and came across this on yelp, and we didn't regret our decision! If you're here you have to try their bread sticks and mashed potatoes, soooo sooo good. I got the pesto pasta, and I was a little skeptical bc some pesto sauces aren't that great but this pesto sauce was so creamy and delicious! Loved it here :) read more

Nice people and chill (up to a point) to stay there and relax after eating. It gets better there when I go (as they make mistakes with the orders most of when I go). Minus one star because my family doesn't like it, but I'm ok with it - it has nice, decent options for foods (just wish they had more gluten free options for what normally has bread - as it's a reason why I go, and I believe that's what makes my family hesistant). read more

Went there today for lunch and had the tri tip for two special. The mashed potatoes and Cesar salad were spot on and the bread sticks were amazing. The tri-tip was served cold and had hardly any mesquite smoke flavor, but I am from Texas and we BBQ a bit different there. Overall I will visit again when the AC is working. Service was great and I like the concept of ordering and paying first and not having to wait to pay the bill when ready to leave. read more

Decent food and interesting way to order and then wait for your food. I initially felt like I was at Panera. What I found was that the service was really good. The place was clean but the tri tip was just ok. The place smelled great! I love the smell of smoke! Maybe tri tips need extra love that you can't get at mass produced restaurants. I absolutely love this place. My family and I went here for the first time and we were very impressed. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted and treated very well. The food was good as well. However, I must say that the highlight of our dinner was our server Aahvion. This young lady has the personality and patience that lack in our world today. She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with all the questions we had. Although she was very busy she tended to our requests in a timely manner with complete accuracy. Ate at the new location today. Every employee was a joy to be around, service was great, and the food is beyond fantastic. They offer more options than the average restaurant and several of them are vegetarian which is neat to see. Prices are great. The chicken I could cut with my fork it was that tender. This was our first time trying Stonefire Grill and we both can't stop raving about their delicious food and superb service. The entire vibe of the restaurant is amazing from the comfortable seating layout to the way you order and receive your food. We had the Stimulus Package, which is a great deal with a whole BBQ chicken, 12 inch pizza, Caesar salad, and 6 breadsticks for less than $25. Everything tasted so good- can't wait to go back to try other items! I would also like to give a shout out to the manager, Ben. His authentic, transformational leadership style was apparent in the way he interacted with his staff and the customers. We watched him handle a customer concern with a calm, genuine, authentic, graceful, and utmost professional manner. My husband and I just had to meet him and express our gratitude for his leadership, which shows in how the entire team works and their positive attitude! Worst restaurant ever!!! This was our first time to visit this restaurant and probably will be our LAST!!! First of all, their snobbish employee, her name is Ally, who took our order, was so annoying and not accommodating. She was not helpful in taking our orders. She even gave me a nasty stare as if I was the one in fault. Secondly, the food was not that great at all (I think I prefer BJ's or Lazy Dog, their food is good and the servers are friendly). The grilled salmon that I had was not cooked well, and the sauce is too sour! I wanted to complain but I couldn't see any employee in sight. We just finished our food and left. I found it ok. Was surprised to walk in and see a big menu in lights where you order. Like a McDonalds menu when you walk in. Self service drinks like McDonald's too. That was very disappointing. Food was decent, I would order the pizza next time, not the salmon. I didn't care for the salmon at all. Took a piece of my friend's pizza...it was very good. Mashed potatoes were very good, but they don't have any gravy. You have to have gravy with mashed potatoes! I was shocked! That was a big no no. I wouldn't eat inside, I would order to go, but just the pizza.. It's kind of depressing inside. It's just not a good atmosphere all in all. My guests and I just expected a better atmosphere. My daughter, grand daughters, and I went to Stonefire Grill last night. We had a very bad eating experience there. We ordered ribs, tri tip, and pizza. The ribs were very dry, tough, and no authentic smokey flavor. The tri tip was dry as well with no flavor. I know this to be true because I'm an experienced bbq. pit master. The pizza was just barely ok. The table service was not acceptable. The server just brought us or food and never checked back with us to see if we needed anything else. I told my daughter that we should have eaten at Famous Dave's bbq. restaurant and she agreed. We definitely will not be coming back to Stonefire Grill. read more

I don't even know where to begin on this review. Me and the mrs decided to try out stonefire for the first time last night for dinner. Walked in and it absolutely smelled amazing I was excited. I ordered the ribs and tri tip combo and my girlfriend ordered the garlic tri tip. Needless to say it started off weird because they give you a tracker for your table and that's how you are served. It was busy so there wasn't that many tables available so we sat at a dirty table. We grabbed some drinks and came back and our tracker was gone. Our food came out shortly later after we informed a busser that they had cleaned our tracker off with the table and she informed the wait staff. Food came out my combo was slightly above warm so it was ok. My girlfriends on the other hand was super cold so she asked a waitress if she could take it back to warm it up. Needless to say they forgot and never brought it back out. Finally 25 min later we decided to stop another waiter and ask him to to check on the status of her food. This is where the 4 stars comes about. A manger walked up to us a few minutes later and informed us he was very sorry and offered us a free desert and a gift card for our inconvenience. All in all my girlfriend got her food late, but it was fresh and hot and the management staff went above and beyond the expected point of customer service. I placed my order for one cheeseburger at 11:40 am, it is now 12:30 and I have yet to receive my cheeseburger. 45 mins for a cheeseburger? The ironic thing is, I received a coupon from my previous experience here because my wait was around an hour. This is the second time I am late to work due to this place, and it will be the last time. The takeout counter is a chaotic mess, no one seems to know where anything is. Don't waste your time, it'll only have you talking with other customers about how long it's taking. read more

First off, I want to say the food was delicious. But, the service was seriously lacking. Our server brought our food out and we let her know we were missing a sandwich. Then they brought out a grilled chicken plate and we had to show them that we ordered a sandwich at which time we noticed they had forgotten our whole roasted cauliflower. It took at least another 5 - 8 minutes to get the rest of our food. Our server seemed very overwhelmed. Then, unfortunately after we left, we realized that we did not receive breadaticks with our chicken, ribs and salmon dinners as stated on the menu. Which is a a shame we didn't catch their error because we had heard they were delicious. We were there nearly 2 hours and our table, as well as empty tables around us, were never bussed. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. My husband and I had them cater our wedding in 2013, and my family has been going to the Santa Clarita location for many years. I was elated when they opened this Rancho Cucamonga location. In the last year I have become vegetarian which really altered what I could eat at Stonefire, but I've been SUPER impressed with their vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Today I ordered the Mediterranean Salad Plate - new favorite! I hope they make this permanent on the menu!!! read more

This is a new restaurant in town. We decided to go and see what it's all about. We arrived there at 6:20ish and had to wait in line outside. This is because they won't let you order until they get your name on the list. The ordering system is very odd. The employees in the front seemed as confused as the guess. Maybe this is because the process is terrible. Once we placed our orders we had to wait again for a seat. I ordered the ribs and tri tip combo, my wife ordered the chicken breast and tri tip combo, and my son had the chicken strip kids meal. First off, the amount of food you get in the combos is not worth it for the price. If your going to order from the grill order one meat only. Other guess around us ordered one meat and you get more food than the combos. If you order a drink you have to get it yourself. This is a new restaurant and they already were out of three different types of drinks. Mine and my wife's food was brought to our table. Once the lady put our food down she said "is there anything else I can get you?" Yes, there is we ordered a kids chicken strips. She looked at the ticket and said ok it will be right out. 10 minutes go by and we're still waiting for my kids dinner. I walk up to the kitchen area and asked where it was at. I got the same answer, "it will be right out". Well yeah that's what they said 10 minutes ago. As I was standing there I noticed two managers standing next to the wine/beer area talking. Neither one seem like they wanted to work or care about the guess. Onto the food.......I gave them a 1 star because the food had good flavor. However, there was some issues. First off my wife is pregnant so her tri tip had to be well done. I ordered mine as medium. Yes, you guess it, she got the medium one and I got the well done one. After we switched tri tips, the one I ordered was cold. I mean like it was sitting out or something. It wasn't even luke warm. Things Stonefire should improve on. Managers should walk around and ask the guess how their food is. Stonefire has more employees then guess. Maybe that's why they seem confuse because they might be stepping on each other's toes. Someone should be checking the temperature of the food before sending it out. Will we go back? Maybe and if we did it's definitely going to be take out. Take out is the best option at this place because you won't have to go through their crappy ordering system and if your food is cold you can zap it in your microwave. read more
