2.5 Not sure how I feel about this restaurant model. The line was out the door on Saturday early evening, and it was a bit confusing when ordering when we would be seated. This seems to work for places like Panera, Corner Bakery, etc. but I was expecting a full service restaurant. Entrees served almost 10 minutes apart and self serve on drinks. Came here with my mother and sister for the first time. Staff was super nice and helpful. We were served our food almost 20 minutes after we ordered and it was pretty good. I got the cobb salad with chicken. The salad itself was good , but the chicken was a little burnt and had no flavor. Defiantly will try the quinoa in it next time. read more

First off I have been to the pasadena location many times. Today I thought I would like to try the Rancho location but I was disappointed with the food. I ordered the lemon chicken and garlic mashed potatoes. My chicken was rubbery and my mashed potatoes had no flavor all my food came out and I asked for some ranch that no one got had to go ask someone else and ask what about to my kids meal after about 10mins after. This is going to my favorite and go to place when I want some good old fashion American BBQ. I also love that they have so many salad selection on their menu which is a must try on my next visit. Extensive menu, plenty of healthy choices. The decor is very nice! The food we ordered was fresh and plenty to share. The ONLY downside .... once you get seated and are eating there is no one walking around offering assistance to you. I ordered online for pick up. The online ordering process was very simple, it was multiple pages before I was able to complete my order but they give you all the options to add things to your order. I ordered a barbecue chicken wrap sandwich, a side of mashed potatoes, a single breadstick, and a piece of their signature brownie. I did not order a drink, I used water to clean my palate between each food item. I started with the mashed potatoes (because mashed potatoes are always best warm), they were really good. You you could tell that they use real potatoes. It was full of flavor and made my mouth water immediately upon taking a bite. Next I ate the barbecue chicken wrap sandwich The portion size was really good I was able to eat half of the sandwich and save the other half for later. My initial reaction was that it was OK. I could taste the onions, tomatoes, avocado, sauce, and the chicken. They all had their own distinct flavor within the bites. Halfway through eating half though, I had to add barbecue sauce to change the flavor up a little bit which made it a little better. But the sandwich was just OK. Next ate the bread stick this is the one thing that everybody raves about the Stonefire Grill breadsticks and I have to say I was not disappointed it was soft, it was chewy, it was topped with Parmesan cheese with a little bit of garlic. It was really good, I really enjoyed it. And finally I had the signature brownie. It was topped with a powdered sugar they had a crispy layer but ultimately it was really soft, almost slightly undercooked when I eat a brownie I expected to be soft, but light and fluffy, not juicy. All in all I was very satisfied with my meal and for the portion size versus what I paid I got a lot of food for a little money. I will be going again and I look forward to trying more items on their menu. read more

Came here for lunch with my husband and son. Ordered at the counter and sat down and immediately noticed I was charged wrong, I got it taken care of just fine and waited for our food.Sides were all tasty but the meat sucked. Lemon garlic chicken was bland and the skin was soggy. Mac n cheese was tasty but the bbq was yuck too. Food wise I was impressed but 4 stars is for Theodore. He was the manager on duty and went above and beyond to apologize when the food took longer than expected even though we didn't have any expectations. Offered a free dessert and made sure to come back by to follow through and then when I expressed that we didn't care for the meats we ordered(literally just for a critique) he ended up offering to compensate for our meal. I wasn't looking for anything free and he was already so accommodating I declined but that was awesome customer service. Polite, compensating, and following through. Terrible. Tortilla Soup was cold . Asked for it to be warmed twice . Still brought it back cold each time . Asked for mashed potatoes . Those came to the table cold as well .Ribs were super fatty and tasted boiled with no seasoning whatsoever. You have to go and get your own plate and silverware ,etc . Might as well be a buffet for the quality of food served and food seemed like it was kept in warmers on standby. Nothing seemed freshly prepared. Grilled chicken was flavorful . I brought my family here for the first time today. It sounded good, and I'd heard good things about it before, so I went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The booths were very small, so I felt a bit claustrophobic throughout the meal. They served Pepsi instead of Coke, and the water dispenser dispensed pure carbonation, which made me feel queasy when I accidentally drank some. My kids ordered macaroni and cheese, but it wasn't very good. The staff (graciously) let us swap the mac and cheese for chicken strips. The strips were okay, but about the quality of, say, Wendy's. My daughter didn't eat hers, and it took them about ten minutes to bring the ketchup they asked for. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich. When I bit into it, I found that there was almost no chicken inside. They (again graciously) offered to remake it. About fifteen minutes went by as I sat there hungrily and everyone else finished their meals. It finally showed up as we were ready to leave, and, admittedly, it was a little better the second time (but certainly nothing I would order again). I spoke to the manager, and he said they were having an off day. He did comp our meal, which I greatly appreciated. However, despite the graciousness of the staff, I could not recommend this restaurant. read more

What can I say this place is great! From their delicious tasting food, the incredible portions and outstanding service this restaurant is hands down my favorite place in Rancho. I come here for lunch for their amazing salads and sandwiches, like the Cartwheel salad, the Hybrid salad, the ABG salad and the Chicken Spinach salads, just a few of my favorites. For dinner it seems everyone in Rancho knows this place is happening! We love doing family dinners here and love the big family/group size platters that include their delicious entrees like Tri Tip, Ribs and Barbecue Chicken (try the garlic chicken too!). Let's not get started on their sides. The garlic mashed potatoes are incredible and the cauliflower salad is always a must. Don't forget to try their pizza , especially our favorite " The Traditional" They're all GREAT and made just right- the perfect blend of fluffy and crispy. Move over CPK and Wood Ranch, this place has got you beat! The service is top notch. Everyone has always been friendly and so accommodating. It definitely comes from the top. Management is their to please. The Manager, Theodore, is always there to make sure you're taken care of and goes the extra mile to make you happy in any way he can. We visited last night for the first time. We had a party of 10 and we're able to be seated on the patio in about 15 minutes. Not bad for a sat night in rancho! The patio is nice. It's included but has big windows and lots of fans. The food was delicious!! Super fresh and flavorful. I love their options for large parties too. The only issue was that our sides took forever. we didn't want the meat to get cold so by the time we got our sides we were almost done with the salad and meat. Kind of disappointing, maybe they are still working out the kinks since they just opened recently. We will definitely be trying this stonefire grill again! read more

All your food comes at separate times. My tri-tip was cold, my mashed potatoes came when I was half way through with my meat and we're steaming hot, so I know they know how to serve food at a proper temperature, just not my tri-tip. we were in the area and decided to give them a try. very crowded place. you walk in Oder your food and then if you dine in you go in the seating area tons of seating options. in fact I thought it was a bit much . there was too many tables and chairs that could have been used for other purposes like a game room or actual order food at table with a waitress and all. it's a family type of restaurant and it just didn't seem to be inviting for someone to bring theit kids. lots of wasted space. food was mediocre at best. we had pizza and got a bbq chicken sli by the pound and beef brisket. chicken was over seasoned and the beef was so so. considering this place is supposed to be a bbq joint. pizza was ok a frozen pizza would be about the same as far as texture and flavor profile goes. don't think we'll be running back here to eat at this restaurant in the near future. food was just meh. food was kind of expensive too. read more

First off, the concept is confusing, so many options on the menu, almost too many. Is it a pizza restaurant? A BBQ restaurant? A Mediterranean restaurant? We decided to try a little bit of everything. Number one negative was that none of our food came out at the same time, first my chicken mediterranean bowl, 10 minutes later my hubs got his tri tip and lemon chicken, without the mashed potatoes, then 5 minutes later his mashed with my son's pizza. And lastly my daughter's plate came out and it was wrong, we ordered a kids chicken strips and they brought out a kids Mac and cheese. Eventually towards the end of our meal they brought out the strips. The scattered order really set the tone, and the food itself was not good. My chicken patties tasted like they were made mostly of celery and the hummus was watery, like liquid. My husband's tri tip left a weird after taste, and the mashed potatoes had whole garlic cloves in them, 3 whole cloves, so gross, I don't know if that's on purpose but it was not good. The pizza was the best part, and the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Nothing else was redeeming about this place. read more

Dine in prices for a fast food experience. When I go out I expect to be served on. Fill my drink when it's empty, bring me my utensils, stuff like that. Well all they do is bring your food which is bellow mediocre!! I was actually kinda pissed I spent that money on such horrible food. Baby back ribs taste like what I expect dog food to taste like. Tri tip (medium rare like it should be) was tough and chewy. Mashed potatoes were clearly powdered with a very weak attempt to doctor them up. Also got a roasted cauliflower dish that had the WORST sauce on it, making it inedible. The chicken was clearly boiled and odd. At a "grill" they boil their meat?
