I went to Stonefire Grill in Rancho Cucamonga to dine in for lunch for the first time and had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The ambiance was great. During my stay I had an opportunity to meet the General Manager (Charlie) who was the nicest person I had ever met in or out of a restaurant setting. Charlie went out of his way to make sure my party was totally satisfied with our meal. I honestly have never received such wonderful service from a manager who genuinely cared about making sure the customer was completely satisfied with the food and service. I normally order takeout, but after such a wonderful experience and great service, I will choose to dine in more often. Tried reaching out several times, with no response. I ordered their catering for our Thanksgiving lunch at our company and once we received our food, it looked like a kids plate. Our employees were truly unsatisfied and we had to go out of our way to order more food from somewhere else that day since we didn't want our employees to still feel hungry. Was here for dinner on a Friday so it was, to no surprise, busy! Although it was busy, the person who took our order Renee I believe, was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She suggested items I didn't even think I would be hungry for. Luckily we were a big group so we were able to order quite a lot to share. Another lady dropped off our order and asked if we needed anything else. She was super sweet, I caught her name at the end, Kris! When we were leaving, the same girl that took our order, was now running around and taking the dirty plates off the table while Kris was the one taking orders at the register. So glad we came when we did because the line was almost out the door when we left. The food was amazing! We had the bbq chopped salad, Caesar salad, garlic salmon, chicken nachos, steak nachos, ribs and the most delicious carrot cake. Everything was delicious! Stonefire Grill is great place for take out or dine in. SG serves sharable family style meals. Think pizza, bbq, salads, ect. sums up what you can find here. For my last takeout order, I got the stimulus package which is the best value family meal. You get a choice of meat, bread sticks, salad and standard pizza for around 25 dollars. I ordered half and half trip tip, caesar salad and breadsticks and paid additional 2 dollars or so to get a bbq chicken pizza instead of the standard pizza. Everything comes out great and the food especially good considering the value. Some of my favorites are the bbq chicken, breadsticks and the caesar salad. The caesar salad is really good because of of the dressing has a little bit of spice or kick to it. This is my preferred salad to order when getting a salad for a family style meal. When dine in returns the place is a nice place to dine in with family and friends. The only notable difference is no TV's or sports to watch. Plenty of seating for large gatherings. If you have a large party and are coming in during the weekends you may have a wait as there are no reservations. SG is a better option for take out. It is a lot better food than what you would get from your average pizza place. read more

I've been here numerous times and I just love it. My hubby and I always order the tri tip meal for two and share half order of their amazing carrot cake! The meal comes with tri tip- we always opt for the garlic pepper which comes with this Gorgonzola aioli. We love the buttery mashed potatoes that has chunks of garlic in it, so if you're a fan of garlic you'll love this. Choice of salad- we always get the Greek! And of course served with their delicious breadsticks. You order at the front, they give you a gps tracking device so the staff knows which table to bring your food to. Everything is pretty much self serve here- you grab your own plates, napkins, silverware, drinks and choose whichever table is available! There isn't a lot of staff interaction since the environment is self-serve and very casual. However, we have always had friendly interactions at the ordering counter. One of my favorite places to eat at lately when I eat out. Can't beat the portions, price and taste of food. read more

I used to enjoy eating here but the last three times it has been really bad Today I ordered the BBQ chopped salad, it had a side of hair on the salad a small clump of hair black with several strands clumped together The person who brought the food to the table had on a bracelet with chains hanging off and when he/she gave me my salad the bracelet dragged through the salad There were flies everywhere and had too look through the flatware to find clean utensils It was also difficult to find a clean table I did let the manager know that I did not order a side of hair and $$ was refunded but I won't be going back It's sad pre pandemic the place was good read more

just now Breadsticks and garlic mashed potatoes are amazing and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Garlic lemon chicken was super soggy and had too much garlic. Didn't feel like it was fully cooked. The tri-tip steak was really good and I loved the way its cut into slices. For American food style categories i do think you should add gravy for the mashed potatoes but either way the mash potatoes are amazing! read more

Great experience, we love the food here, and service is always amazing. On our last visit, I ordered the Tri Tip & Ribs. Unfortunately, my ribs were cold. But that isn't why I'm writing this Yelp. Lamar, the manager, came by our table and asked how things were. I mentioned to him my concern of my ribs being cold, and he sprung into action. I had never heard of this place or been to it but it was worth a shot to try it out. First off I was surprised at how the ordering system was handled, like if I were at a fast food restaurant? You have to order with the cashier first and then they give you a buzzer where they then take your food to the table. Different but for a restaurant I thought was odd . Another thing I was thrown off by was how early they closed. They close at 8:00 pm on Friday's and 8:30 pm on Saturday's maybe Sundays too? You would think for a family restaurant they would be open until at least 9 or 10:00 pm on a weekend? On to the food. The food I think it was ok. The food didn't have any wow factor for me to rave about and want to come back. Tasted like a regular over priced home cooked meal TBH. I opted for the grilled chicken breast with a side of potato salad. Surprisingly the chicken breast was supposed to be grilled but bright out on a tin plate covered in oil with some parsley and garlic seasonings over it. It was good but again nothing to praise about and technically, not grilled. The potato salad, nothing wow about it either. Just your typical potato salad. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup hoping it would be hot and with a good blend of spices for good flavor, but the complete opposite. It was Luke warm, and bland. The only thing that was decent I'd say were the baked beans. Good flavor and meat in them, with good flavor and spices. Overall I don't really recommend this restaurant for the average taste in for, service and prices. During these times, you have to say it how it tastes, and this wasn't worth it to me. read more

I love their lemon garlic chicken and ribs combo! Super Delish! I am a fan of garlic so it just hits the spot for me. I even like to drip some of the lemon sauce and garlic into my mashed potatoes! Their carrot cake is also delish! My hubby usually gets the tri tip and ribs but I do not care for their meat. It's usually cold and super rubbery. However, my husband loves it so to each his own. Solid place and will become a regular now that I've tried it. You order right near the door. It can be hard to see the menu, so I would recommend getting a paper menu nearby the door or register. Lots of options from pasta to barbecue. You pay and then bring a number to your table where the servers can track where to bring the food to. PARKING: There is a lot, it is in a plaza. TOMESTO: I got the small size to share between me and two guys. It wasn't enough for part of a meal, but was good enough if you wanted the pasta as an appetizer portion. The pesto is a strong pesto but overall really delicious paired with the marinara. Would get this again (: 1/4 CHICKEN & TRI TIP: Got this "from the grill option" and thought it was okay. Split this with two others and looking back it is a little small portion wise to split between three people. Overall flavors of both were good and tasted how I expected. Stonefire is always a great idea for lunch or dinner and the whole city of Rancho Cucamonga agrees, which is why I order my food ahead of time and just pick it up and take it home. It's also a great place to pick up food for a party or pot-luck as they have family meals or larger sizes for certain entrees. My go-to is the Golden Kale Salad but the tri-tip, ribs, chicken, mashed potatoes and baked rigatoni with meat sauce and mozzarella and roasted vegetables are all delicious. The garlic breadsticks are addicting and I could eat a half dozen just as a meal by itself. I recently dined in here with friends and one of them said it reminded them of Pat & Oscar's! I'd HIGHLY recommend Stonefire if you're with a group of people that can't agree on what to eat as they cater to vegan, gluten free and have everything from burgers, pasta, pizza, salad, sandwiches, appetizers, desserts (their carrot cake is popular so it may be sold out), etc. read more

Man oh man! STONEFIRE Grill is an absolute winner. Every time I eat here or when my hubby brings home leftovers, I am never disappointed with their food. Their tri-tip and garlic herb chicken are my favorite proteins along with their pastas and meat sauce. Their salads are extremely fresh and hearty as well -- especially their Traditional Greek. Also... is it weird to have a favorite place where they serve garlic breadsticks? Cause this is it right here. Ask for their homemade barbecue sauce and dip those badboys in there... it's AH-mazing. Then for dessert, try their carrotcake. It's a little on the sweet side, but it is so moist and delicious! You can tell it's made in house so this is a must-order if you have a sweet tooth like me.
