First of all, WOW ! My favorites are the mashed potatoes and the ribs. You can't go wrong with that. I always get that for takeout for my family whenever I don't cook haha! Yesterday I picked up a to go order for Caesar salad and pepperoni pizza. When I arrived they said pizza would be ready in 4 minutes. In less than that, they handed me a lukewarm warm pizza. The pizza itself was as expected pedestrian. The pizza dough was tough and chewy. There was also a piece of plastic wrap in one of the slices. The best thing about the Caesar salad was the dressing. G* who was so helpful and nice. From her sweet voice, to asking all the right questions in order to get our sides and meals right, to explaining the process she was very customer oriented. She really made us feel welcome. The food, especially the chicken with bbq sauce, was tasty. The chicken was perfectly moist and each bite was delicious. It is so good! The coleslaw is so unique. Wanted some pasta and had this place come up online and decided to give it a try. I came in and was greeted immediately by the worker at the counter, little surprised that you order before sitting but I got the small chicken Alfredo. Pasta came out very quickly and was delicious, never had spinach in Alfredo before but turned out great. The employees were very attentive and checked on me regularly. The menu is not varied, and the food is of decent quality, especially for the price paid. Was a bit surprised at some of the other comments which were negative, since this is not a fine dining establishment, and more of a neighborhood grill type of place, so judge accordingly. The tri tip was prepared nicely, and the grilled chicken breast could use a bit more flavor but is good with the lemon garlic sauce (needs more lemon...). This is one of my favorite places around to grab a bite to eat when I'm feeling something really hearty and good ! They never disappoint, whether you take it to-go or eat in person. Both their wait staff and the kitchen are very efficient and professional. Best ribs in town! Portion size are very generous and the ribs are always finger licking good! We usually call in and wait times are very reasonable. They have designated parking spots for take out which make it a very easy transaction. Lemon chicken, beans, and Cobb salad are also very good. Before going to a movie at the nearby AMC Theater, we had dinner at the Stone Fire Grill. They have a wide assortment of choices from salads, pizza and meat dishes. My wife had the Petite BBQ chicken chopped salad that was very large ($8.29). She liked it, but found the ranch dressing too bland, but the server was quick in bringing a dish of Caesar salad dressing to add more flavor. I enjoyed the Tri Tip & Ribs Meal with salad ($16.79). The Tri-Tip was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was very lean. And the spare ribs were good. I only wish the BBQ sauce was more flavorful as the sauce they use is like a pineapple or sweet flavor. The beer selection is varied as is the wine. This place is my go-to spot for family meals. I've been to Stonefire dozens of times and at multiple locations - Torrance, Irvine, Fountain Valley, Brea. What's amazing about this chain is that it is so consistent, no matter what location you go to. Their takeout is a perfect 10/10. It's so efficient, always ready, and they are so accommodating if any mistakes are made (which is hardly ever). I always get the stimulus package for $29.99, and then add the BBQ chopped salad for an extra $2. The amount of food for that price is unbelievable! It easily feeds 4 people, or 5 people with smaller appetites. The only reason it's a 4 star is because sometimes their meat is a hit or miss. The chicken can come pretty dry, and a medium rare steak is prepared well done. This is one thing that has happened on numerous occasions. Walking in, you see the cashiers with the big menu located right above. This is a order and then seat yourself type of restaurant which was interesting to me. We ordered the tri tip combo (24.99$) and it comes with tri tip (1/2 lemon pepper & 1/2 bbq) , a salad (caesar) , 5 breadsticks and a medium pizza ( ham&pineapple). We also got an order of a large pasta (16.99$). Drinks are additional cost, but water cups are free. The cashier told us to just get a water cup and fill it with whatever because nobody checks. Overall the food wasnt anything I would go back for. I love the family feel of the place but the food was mediocre at best. The tri tip was very dry and had no flavor even with the sauces. The pizza was probably my favorite because the pineapples were super sweet! Pasta was average, okay for what it was. Breadsticks were very buttery so that made it tasty. You cant really go wrong with a caesar salad so that was good. Although they give you a buzzer, we had all our food brought to us so that was nice. There are busboys and waiters walking around asking If you need anything and if you're enjoying your meal. So customer service was A+! They have a rewards program where every dollar you spend you get 2 points. And every 250 points I believe, you get 5$. First time you activate the card you get breadsticks and every birthday you get something as well. Tl;dr; Mediocre food. You buy before you seat yourself. Drinks are self served. Staff is nice. So if you like that kind of thing, it's perfect. I had chicken breast and salad. The chicken breast tasted processed to me, I didn't like the texture and the strange skin texture. The salad was refreshing and a decent size. The carrot cake was luscious and I would be happy to have it again! So as long as you know when you go here that it is fast food ish and on the more processed side and with minimal service, you get your own silverware, napkins, drinks, and that's your style, you'll be happy. Not very good. I went with my sister and my father. We assumed the place would be packed, but when we got there no one else was present (1st red flag lol). We ordered our food first then sat down and waited to be served (sort of like at a sizzler). I got pizza, which was okay (it's hard to mess up pizza). My sister got the Bbq chicken club sandwich. It was barely warm, and it looked like a boiled slice of chicken with bbq sauce lathered on it. My dad got the superfood fiesta bowl which he wasn't too crazy about. As time went on, later into the night, a few more people started to show up, but not too many. A family with about 3-4 kids came. The kids were uncontrollable, running around the whole building and causing a ruckus (ofc the restaurant and staff are not at fault for this so much as the parents are, but it lessened our experience nonetheless). I've never been to their restaurant. We have been to the Stonefire in Del Amo Mall for years...until they closed. The food there was always flavorful and fresh. To bad the restaurants food was so far off. We ordered the BB Sandwich with the mini Caesar and the Lunch Marinara with breadsticks and the mini garden salad. You could tell the server was in no way happy to be at work today. But, the cashier was helpful and seemed pretty happy. The BBQ sandwich was cheese and BBQ meat, no sauce. Dry. The cheese was a bit thick making the sandwich "gross". My guest picked it off the sandwich. The salad was fairly dry, needed more dressing. There was nothing with flavor on the plate. The lunch Marinara was undercooked and was pretty dry. It needed more sauce and Parmesan cheese. The sauce was pretty thin. It was all sitting at the bottom of the plate. The salad, also dry, needed to be served in a larger bowl or with a spoon. The pieces are chopped pretty small and do not do well with a fork. The breadsticks were ok. They were thick and somewhat dense but, not inedible. One had a nice amount of the topping, the other did not. There was nothing hot or fresh about this meal. I could have had rewarmed left overs at home, would have been better. This was a tasteless meal and most likely our last. To bad because the mall eatery was awesome. Great tasting food. Really enjoy this place. Very family friendly. If you're like me with kids, I hate waiting for a check at the end when everybody's ready to go. I like that you get to pay before your meal. Plenty of seating. The place is clean and staff is friendly. Prices are comparable to everything, from $21-$23 for a combination plate of tri-tip and ribs, with a large portion side such as mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese or coleslaw. Me and my husband each got the tri-tip and rib combo, with mashed potatoes and potato salad. It comes with breadsticks as well then crisp and crunchy with a little chew. The tri-tip is cooked to order husband always goes for medium rare and I like it more medium, you get to choose either like a Gorgonzola topping which is really tasty or BbQ. The ribs are a nice portion about half a slab succulent and fall off the bone. The kids options are perfect with pasta and butter and cheese which is excellent for any picky eater. Definitely a to go place with family friendly atmosphere no long waits and plenty of seating. By the time i realize I wanted to take a pic, all the food was gone. Maybe next time. read more

I struggle with the fast casual concept. Though ordering was swift and easy, I missed a couple details that I probably wouldn't have overlooked if the ordering process was similar to a traditional restaurant. Ceasar salad was garlicky good and fresh; I could actually taste the anchovies. Breadsticks were decent but I would have liked to order a dipping sauce (this is one of details I missed.) Pulled pork sandwich was good. Bbq sauce was notably sweet and next time I'd order cole slaw to add into the sandwich to enhance it. The cauliflower salad was a nice addition...as a salad. The tri-tip was chewy. I ordered medium rare, it was perfectly prepared but I think prepared medium would have made the meat more enjoyable. Bbq was my favorite, though I did enjoy the blue cheese butter as a close 2nd. Airy, clean aesthetic made for a pleasant dining experience but I'd likely visit a different restaurant so I can get the table service I prefer. P.s. this type of fast casual service also makes tipping a traditional 20% not conducive to the amount of service you receive.
