Not very good. I went with my sister and my father. We assumed the place would be packed, but when we got there no one else was present (1st red flag lol). We ordered our food first then sat down and waited to be served (sort of like at a sizzler). I got pizza, which was okay (it's hard to mess up pizza). My sister got the Bbq chicken club sandwich. It was barely warm, and it looked like a boiled slice of chicken with bbq sauce lathered on it. My dad got the superfood fiesta bowl which he wasn't too crazy about. As time went on, later into the night, a few more people started to show up, but not too many. A family with about 3-4 kids came. The kids were uncontrollable, running around the whole building and causing a ruckus (ofc the restaurant and staff are not at fault for this so much as the parents are, but it lessened our experience nonetheless). I've never been to their restaurant. We have been to the Stonefire in Del Amo Mall for years...until they closed. The food there was always flavorful and fresh. To bad the restaurants food was so far off. We ordered the BB Sandwich with the mini Caesar and the Lunch Marinara with breadsticks and the mini garden salad. You could tell the server was in no way happy to be at work today. But, the cashier was helpful and seemed pretty happy. The BBQ sandwich was cheese and BBQ meat, no sauce. Dry. The cheese was a bit thick making the sandwich "gross". My guest picked it off the sandwich. The salad was fairly dry, needed more dressing. There was nothing with flavor on the plate. The lunch Marinara was undercooked and was pretty dry. It needed more sauce and Parmesan cheese. The sauce was pretty thin. It was all sitting at the bottom of the plate. The salad, also dry, needed to be served in a larger bowl or with a spoon. The pieces are chopped pretty small and do not do well with a fork. The breadsticks were ok. They were thick and somewhat dense but, not inedible. One had a nice amount of the topping, the other did not. There was nothing hot or fresh about this meal. I could have had rewarmed left overs at home, would have been better. This was a tasteless meal and most likely our last. To bad because the mall eatery was awesome. Great tasting food. This will probably be my last time. My lemon garlic chicken had so much lemon juice on it, it was sour. Like pucker your mouth and acid stomach sour. I can't eat it, had to throw it out. The food is good for the price. We were able to feed a party of 15 for under $200. The host J.R. was super accommodating and managed to get all of us seated within 30 minutes. I used to love this place. We went there about a month ago & again last night. What a disappointment!!! The prices have gone up a lot. No big deal if the food was good as it used to be. In particular, the tri tip was terrible. They couldn't get the medium rare correct. First it was well done then rare. Tri tip so tough I couldn't even chew it. The food was good. Service was minimal. We are not from the area and never been to this restaurant. As we stepped up to order we weren't greeted. The guy just stared at us. No question of if we'd been there before...nothing. You would think they would ask the question seeing as there is a setup to where you have to order, then find a seat,, and take a buzzer with you in order for the food to be delivered to your table. None of that was explained to us. He just took payment, and gave us the buzzer. Favorite place to get a BBQ chicken salad. Loaded with toppings and a pretty good value for being like a meal/salad.

Went here for date night with my wife and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were all wearing masks, some had face shields and the seating was in the outdoor patio area. They had heaters placed at each table which was a nice touch since we went at night. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly, answering all our questions and frequently checking on us at our table. I got the rigatoni pasta with meat sauce (personal serving which was more than enough) and my wife got the Caesar with Grilled Chicken Breast and a side of Garlic Breadsticks. As most people have stated, the service here is great. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I really like the open kitchen and spacious dining area. I also like that you order then seat yourself and get your own utensils and drinks. The breadsticks were delicious and the side Greek salad was generous and tasty as well. The tri tip is tender and flavorful. The ribs were not fall off the bone tender, but had good flavor. The chicken was tender, but lacked flavor. The real problem for me was that I got a piece of chicken that was undercooked. When we notified someone, we were told it was not undercooked but it something about that's how it looks around the bone area. I don't know if I buy that because it was pretty bright red and raw looking in the middle (see photo). I decided to just show up, walked in at 8:00 had to wait to be helped at 8:04 he couldn't find my order and said sorry we closed at 8:00 can't help you. Highly recommend for big groups! I've been to the stonefire grill in irvine before, but I don't remember it being as good as the torrance one. Also that visit to the irvine location was like 5 years ago and im sure the quality has gone up since. parking- lots of parking available, but the plaza is usually pretty busy. if you come on the weekends, you'll def have to drive a bit to find a spot. Normally this plaza isn't really busy during the weekdays. You line up and order when you enter and its pretty straight forward. The portions are def shareable. I'd recommend going family style here. I had the steak and cheese sandwich and small spinach salad. Both were really good! I got the small salad because my bf and I were going to split it but you could def split it between 3 people. It was a big group of us so I was able to try a few of my friends stuff. The garlic mashed potatoes were really good. I'd recommend getting this as a side. The tri tip was good too! but I thought the lemon garlic chicken was better. And I normally don't prefer chicken as my choice of protein. It was so juicy and flavorful. I've had Stonefire grill one before so was so excited they opened one in the Rolling hills plaza in Torrance! You order at the register, they give you a buzzer, you sit anywhere you like, and they bring the food to your table. My friend and I ordered the half ribs and brisket combo with the Caesar salad and a small side of garlic mashed potatoes. It also came with two garlic breadsticks. We chose the garlic pepper seasoning for the brisket but they also have a bbq option. Everything was delicious!! The ribs were tender and the bbq sauce was tangy, not too sweet, and well balanced. The brisket was perfectly cooked (we ordered medium) and was served with a Gorgonzola cheese butter ball which paired deliciously with the beef. We also got a side of the self serve bbq sauce (which is free to grab at any time) and it was so yummy! Caesar salad was excellent, might be my favorite Caesar salad I've had because it was so garlicky and I love garlic (as shown by all the garlic ordered in this meal). Mashed potatoes were cooked well with whole roasted garlic, breadsticks were fresh. Overall just a great flavorful meal for a reasonable price. Will definitely be back. read more

The layout was good... thought it was a weird setup cuz you order then you sit... so it's like fast food but the food is not fastfood... OK OK ok. You order your food, grab a table, get ur plate and utensils, and your own drinks. Then you wait... I mean it wasn't too bad of a wait but all good things come to those who wait. Neat concept! You walk in and order what you'd like, pay and get a lil buzzer. You're then free to choose your table/booth and help yourself to your drinks. Shortly after your food arrives. I had the french dip with mashed potatoes. It was a tad bit on the salty side but over all was pretty good. The meat was slightly thicker than I prefer but overall quality was good. The kitchen is an open type concept a lot like the macaroni grill that was there prior to this restaurant. They kept much of the lay out the same. Service was friendly and fairly fast. I liked how we were able to just leave after eating as opposed to waiting for the check to arrive. The roasted cauliflower pita was so flavorful and the chopped salad was abundant with fresh roasted veggies and meat cooked to perfection. The petite chicken breast/tri tip combo was more than enough food. I have a hard time with this place. So you walk into this place and then you walk to the counter to order but the menu is confusing. Is it Italian, american, or what? The menu is a bit limiting as well, i thigh well a nice piece of fish would be nice. So i order the salmon with mashed potatoes on the side because apparently it doesn't come with a side. I get my salmon and it's just swimming in butter and oil, was not seasoned well and had an iron taste to it which was just a huge put off. Come on guys, you're a new business so take some pride in what you're cooking. Another thing is, i was with two other people and we had four different people serve each of our dishes. The fourth had to go get my side of mashed potatoes because they didn't come with the salmon they brought. So we are all eating at separate times which makes no sense. And i must mention, we moved tables twice because all the tables were so greasy because no one wipes them down after people are finished eating. And one more thing, if i go to a restaurant and spend $18 on a piece of salmon i don't want to have to serve myself and have to grab my own silverware and wipe my own table. Updated Review: Glad I gave this restaurant another chance! This time I ordered the Stonefire's Favorite pizza for myself and the Mesquite BBQ Boneless Chicken Breast for my brother. The Stonefire favorite pizza includes pesto, avocado, mozzarella & feta, and basil. Dipping the pizza in the ranch sauce I requested made it that much better. Great vegetarian pizza but can also add meat if desired. My brother enjoyed his chicken and said he would order it again.
