Went here for lunch. Had the salmon with a garden salad. I added the kids Mac and cheese with beans and drink. 2nd time here and this time was better as I thought the tri-tip was just ok when I carried out on my first visit. Moderately priced and I had leftover for later which is nice. The 4 stars is for their absolutely fabulous customer service. Doug was the best waiter of any restaurant I have been to. It all began with a yearning for some decent fire charred meat and it ended in a confusing blur of disappointing rigatoni (more like riga-PHONY) and exceptionally mediocre tortilla soup. Pulled pork has had my esophagus feeling like the jungles of Vietnam being napalmed for 12 hours straight. Just dined in here and the experience overall was great. When we walked in we were greeted immediately and were assigned a table (since they were busy). We were able to order quickly and Bella was thorough and kind in taking our order. Having restaurant work experience, I know what ideal register service looks like and Bella definitely delivered! She explained the system for dining in using the table trackers and guided us to where we could get our utensils and fill our drinks. Superb customer service!! Everyone is so nice and friendly. They make sure that you're taken care of. It was a busy night when we came in but it didn't take long for our orders to get on the table. First time there. Went on my lunch hour on a weekday. Had the Steak & Cheese Sandwich with Nutty Coleslaw. The sandwich was hefty & delicious. Service was quick, kind & terrific! I was told about this place by my mom's boyfriend. He had nothing but good things to say about it, so my boyfriend decided to take me for my birthday. We were greeted at the door by an extremely friendly and helpful young lady. She explained how the place worked, and handed us menus to browse through. It was our fault for picking there to eat but my family and I ended up going to another restaurant where they accepted us even though it was full and we had to wait in line for only 5 minutes. I had talked to the manager about how I felt about the environment of people that were there and she brushed me off by saying, "There will always be people in this world like that unfortunately" when all she could've said was sorry you felt that way but no, she was cold and said "I personally know the girl in the register and she has never acted this way so that's suprising" Anyways, just don't go there. read more

The ribs were TERRIBLE!!!! I took one bite and deeply regretted ordering them. They had no flavor and the sauce was no help. The service was great. So we came here on the recommendation of a friend. Would give it 4.5 stars because of service. Ordered chips and onion dip- didn't care for it. Spoke to the manager, who went above an beyond to make it up to us. We're foodies so can be quite picky. My husband ordered the burger and was pleased. My son got the works pizza and enjoyed it. I decided to chance the tritip. Being from the birth place of tritip (Santa Maria!) I knew I was rolling the dice. I was pleasantly surprised. The meat was properly cooked, moist, cut correctly, and flavorful. Anyone who has made a tritip knows you HAVE TO CUT ACROSS THE GRAIN. Guys be aware this is a chain, not a 5 star celebrity chef place. Rate it as that. I live in SB wine and food country. Would I pick this over some of my local restaurants? As a disabled person, I was so impressed by the staff at the new Stone Fire Grill in Ventura. I use a wheelchair, and instead of asking my husband and me to wait in line to order, Natalia, who was working outside at the line, helped my husband to go inside and talk to a manager. The manager, Travis, reserved a table for us and took our order at the table. Another manager, Allison, came to the table and helped to take our payment. And Travis came back to bring my glass of wine! The iced tea was great, and the food was great too. I was amazed at the attentiveness and care that was shown to us to help with my disability. read more

Came here for the first time with my family and friends. We came on a Friday night so it was very busy, long line. With that being said, the greeter at the door explained how the restaurant worked and offered breadsticks to the people in line. Good service and the line moved quickly and they found us a table quickly as well. The good points: the garlic mashed potatoes, breadsticks, salad and chicken were all very good. The ribs were not very good. My daughters food didn't come with everyone else's so when the manager came to ask how things were going he offered her a free brownie because she had to wait (nice service). It was very loud inside. Not sure there's anything to be done about that. I would come again, but not on a busy evening, too loud. It is unfortunate there's no outside seating, it would have been much quieter and made for a more relaxing time. read more

So disappointed!! Stonefire Grillis one of my favorite restaurants; today was a real disappointment. Place an order online, went to pick the order up from Ventura. Girl behind the counter half-ass went over my order. I ordered the Lemon Garlic Chicken, got home to discover that I was given BBQ chicken (had my mouth all set for Lemon Garlic chicken). Called and spoke to a manager to let them know about the mess up, she tried to correct the issue by offering to fix things. I went back to Ventura from Oxnard, she have me a whole chicken and a $20.00 gift card for my troubles. My daughter started to eat the salad and she found a nasty long blonde & black hair. This just put the icing on the cake. The take- out servers were very unprofessional and joking with each other rather than paying attention on what they are doing. I thought this place was a pleasant change in restaurants. I liked how you order at the front and take a seat and the food is brought out to you. The food was amazing. The tri tip was very tender and I hate eating tri tip at restaurants never tender enough. The beans had a nice little spice to them. The garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. The ribs had a good amount of meat and were quite tasty and the bread sticks were my favorite out of everything. The ONLY thing that was odd personally speaking was the salad. The dressing wasn't to good. I couldn't taste any dressing at all. I had to put salt and pepper just to Taste something in the salad. I will be going back and hope it hold the deliciousness of the food :) read more

Employees were nice. I ordered the fire roasted vegetables. Half of the vegetables were burnt so badly they looked like charcoal. The waitress took my plate brought me a new one. I ordered take out here tonight, live close but hadn't tried it yet. Ordered the Stimulus Package, Tri-tip, pizza, salad and breadsticks. The service was wonderful, even though it was a Friday night and packed I was greeted warmly and was in and out in 5 minutes. The food was great, the Tri-tip was melt in your mouth tender and flavorful, salad very fresh, breadsticks good. Only critic I have is the dough on the pizza could have had a couple more minutes cooking but that's just personal preference. We have eaten many times at the Stonefire in Santa Clarita and missed it after moving to Ventura. Unfortunately , this Stonefire did not live up to expectations . We ordered a half slab of baby back ribs and a small side of what we thought were going to be BBQ baked beans. Although the portions were plentiful, the taste left something to be desired. The ribs were meaty but very bland unless you slathered them with the BBQ sauce which really didn't improve the taste that much. Went to Stone Fire Grill today. Ordered dinner for myself and wife. They were very professional and helpful. Ordered Tri-tip & Chicken and another Tri-tip and ribs. Ordered a salad and their amazing beans. All the food was outstanding. Being a military vet I received a discount 50%. Yes I said 50%. My total was only $17.00 with the discount. Great offer. My family was excited to check this place out since it just opened. I misread the menu and thought that the meals came with breadsticks, salad and a small side, but it was actually just a side or salad (still a good deal). Anyways, we realized once we got the receipt that they charged a small side. The line was huge so we stopped someone to ask if they could help us cancel the extra side - the manager offered to cancel the payment and just give us the side for free. We have dined here several times and have always had a pleasant experience. Our favorites so far are the tri tip and the Greek salad with salmon. Our meals came with the most delicious breadsticks. My wife and I have been to this great restaurant about 10 times since it opened in early 2018. My favorite always is the 1lb. Salmon, while my wife likes the salads - particularly the Asian Salad. She always gets the petite salad which is plenty to eat. The menu has a huge assortment of choices. Besides the food, another great thing about this restaurant is the friendly staff. We have gotten to know the manager, Danny Diamond, who likes to meet the customers when possible. read more

The service was top-notch and the prices are pretty reasonable. We had some difficulty understanding the differences in the salad sizes and so the manager brought out some sample plates and vessels and showed us the relative differences between the 4 sizes listed in the menu ( by the way, the smallest salad is the P, stands for Petit, and it was quite enough for me) read more
