This place is really a hit or miss most times. The waffles are always pretty good. You can always get any fruit or vegetable you want as a side. Depending on the day and the server, your food can come in minutes or in an hour. The staff is usually extremely extremely friendly which is always an amazing feeling. Lucky us, the place is very clean, the service is unbelievable they have enough servers so they are always asking if you need anything. We have been served by Carlos a couple of times, and then by David who was just as professional, we live far from the diner but if we are taking a ride we make sure we make it there. Last time had the lemon coconut cake, recommended by David and it was delicious, I am a baker and thought it was one of the best cakes I have had or made. Overall this place over the many times I have visited is a 3/4 and is hit or miss. I think they are missing the home cooked food as most tastes and feels as it's from Cysco food delivery. Usually get a grilled chicken sandwich or pancakes. Place is usually reasonably busy. Very large portions of good food for a very reasonable price. The eggs were well cooked and the Salami was just the right thickness. My boyfriend brought me here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The diner was packed and you could tell because there were barely no spaces in the parking lot. The diner is bright and clean with spacious booths. Our server and the rest of the staff were very friendly and prompt. I ordered eggs, bacon, home fries and toast with hot chocolate.....very good! The booskie ordered the Greek omelette and was very satisfied. After we ate I reluctantly ordered a mimosa. I usually hate diner cocktails but I decided to give it a try. Stopped by this diner after taking care of some business around the neighborhood. Made it just in time for the brunch special. Ordered the Eggs Benedict, which came with home fries, juice, coffee, and a fruit salad. The Eggs Benefict was over-cooked! The egg yolk was not runny at all. The english muffin underneath the eggs was super soggy instead of toasty crispy. The hollandaise sauce (IF you could call it that) was terrible. The home fries were also a disappointment - bland and somewhat burnt. The coffee was not the best, not strong at all. The orange juice was very pulpy but bearable. I think I only liked the fruit salad. Overall, I did not enjoy the entire meal at all. Maybe I should NOT have ordered eggs benedict from a diner. Sigh. Unfortunately we had to make arrangements for a post-funeral brunch. We reached out to a few local diners who were seemingly uncaring and unwilling to help. We contacted Stop 20 Diner and spoke with Steve who was not only willing to accept the last minute reservation, but expressed his deepest sympathies for our loss. His only request was that we call a few minutes prior to our arrival so he can ensure that everything was set up. The service finished up much sooner than expected, so we reached out to Steve to ask him if he could accommodate our large party more than an hour earlier than originally planned. "No problem" said Steve. We arrived at the diner 15 minutes later to find an entire section set up and awaiting our arrival. The wait staff swarmed distributing ice water and taking drink orders as we found our seats. Hot coffee was poured for all. Orders were taken quickly and efficiently. I cannot imagine that a party of 25 people in the middle of an extremely busy Sunday brunch is simple but Stop 20 did it with ease. Our drinks were constantly refilled even before they were empty. The food came out promptly and all at the same time. Everything was hot. Most importantly, every order was correct. The service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We never felt rushed, even as the diner continued to fill with hungry patrons. On our way out, we made sure to stop and thank Steve for making a terrible day a little less painful. He proceeded to again express his sympathies and gave us each a hug! We cannot thank Steve and Stop 20 Diner enough for how well they treated our family today. read more

One of the men giving our table the water was creepily looking at my TEENAGE daughter and saying "HOLA HOLA" all flirtatious and kept saying it until she said hello back and was staring her down. I'm confused about this place. I heard it was great but when I went it seemed weird. I ordered a vegetable omelette and my bf ordered a spanish omelette. The waiter was nice and the coffee I ordered was good. My omelette however was bland and the spanish omelette was really bad. It was smothered in sauce- salsa actually...the salsa you use at parties for chips... the eggs couldn't even be seen. When he ordered spanish omelette he thought maybe some sauce and some veggies or other meats would be in the omelette but it was all salsa. He couldn't even eat it. This place is usually my lunch and brunch spot. My food is usually good or decent. Don't really have any complaints about the food or the place. It's clean and not too noisy even when it's pack. This place get a one star only on what one of our waiter did. His service was okay even though we keep flagging him down for a fork and napkins. But when we get the bill this man stay close to our table which we didn't understand at the moment. My bf get up pay the bill add the tips on the card since we didn't have cash. The moment we get to leave this man run to the table. We wasn't even out the first door that we heard him said " wasn't the service good, cause you didn't leave a tip". We were confused but I said in a joking manner we didn't have cash but we put it on the card and it's on the receipt but he was like "no I check nothing one the card". Stop 20 is high up on my list of diners. Their menu is extensive including a specific brunch menu, which I don't often see at a diner. They have traditional diner food - burgers, eggs, thick milk shakes. However, they also have a wide variety of others foods, from steak dinners to paninis to souvlaki. A few of my particular favorites are the waffles, Monte Cristo (turkey, ham and swiss on Challah french toast) and New Yorker panini. A must have is their signature Stop 20 burger made with a burger, cheese, sauteed mushrooms and an onion ring. Reminiscent of old school jukeboxes found in each booth of a diner, Stop 20 has roared into the future by installing individual screens that you can not only play games on, but you can also order your food straight from them. We were immediately greeted with a smile and seated in a booth. Despite taking forever to decide on food while we caught up with each other the staff was really patient with us. I ordered the south of the border burger (beef patty stuffed with avocado jalapeños and cheese-YUM),which comes with fries lettuce tomato bacon, coleslaw and pickles. My friend got the French toast with bacon. I fell in love at first bite! I had the burger well done which tends to dry out the burger but the avocado and cheese came to the rescue and revived this baby Bc it was JUI-CY! The fries were super addicting even when I was full I couldn't stop picking at them. My friend said her French toast was perfection too!
