Who'dathunk we'd find authentic damn good tacos in Rehoboth Beach, and literally steps from our motel??? Shout out to my dear friends in Dover who told us we HAD to eat here. My friend recommended the fish tacos so we started with those, but had to have our faves the carne asada and al pastor, too. All three slammed. The tacos are served with sliced cucumbers and radishes, and their house pico de gallo. We washed it all down with horchata and pineapple Jarritos. We left the spot satisfied. It's a tiny lil joint with just 2-4 small tables indoors, plus counter seating and a couple picnic tables outdoors. Seems family-owned and operated, which is why it's so good and served with care. Seriously, the young man who took our orders, ran our food and drinks to us, catered to our needs, rung us up and bussed our table was super sweet and accommodating. He was putting in WERK, as were the folks in the kitchen. They deserve ALL the stars. We love tacos, and we love this place. So we will no doubt be stopping and going here anytime we're riding to or through Rehoboth. read more

I heard about Stop N Go Taco from the local barber shop. They said if you want good tasting Spanish food that's the only place around. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. The food was amazing. The cashier came out a couple times to see if we needed anything and we got to talking. The owner has a restaurant and that place has a bigger menu, everything is made from scratch for both places, food is all prepared the night before by the owner herself. Just on the outside of the canal, you will find this small joint that services up some really good tacos. We ordered a variety and they were all great! My favorite was probably the shrimp taco. FABULOUS! Seriously, so good. Service was 110% awesome. Food was 110% awesome. Hubby got the three grilled fish tacos (the tilapia) and they were fantastic. The chipotle cream sauce was perfect. I got the Campechano tacos which come in a set of two with three meats (pastor, asada, carnitas), guac, and pico. Hubby had a Horchata and I had a Jamaica for drinks. Both were good. The Jamaica was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. We've eaten here, twice, and I already can wait to go back. Prices are decent for the area. Food is off the chart. Service is great. The only real drawback is there are only a few seats (some inside and some outside). You need to be prepared to wait for a place to sit, willing to eat in your car, or read to take it somewhere else. The only food change I'd make is to add a little more salt and acid to the pico. But that's totally nitpicky. I could have done that myself with some lime and a little salt. If I had one meal left before I died, I would go to Stop N Go. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Stop N Go. There is nothing bad on the menu. They are the nicest people and give the best service. Anytime I'm even close to Rehoboth, I make a trip here. The three meat bowl is delicious and adding the three salsas to it make it even better!! The Carne Asada was cooked perfectly and when combined with the rice and beans plus corn tortillas, it was the perfect mix. I went in around 6:15pm only to find out they close at 7pm instead of 9pm. But the service was amazing! One guy on the grill and one on the counter. Now, I ordered 5 tacos, yes I know..but I didn't know they were going to be double tortillas. Anyways, the tortillas were grilled and soft. I had one pastor, lengua, carne asada, carnitas, and barbacoa. Now, usually they don't sell them individually. The taco order comes usually in 3, but he said they weren't too busy and getting ready to close so he would make an exception. I definitely recommend the lengua and pastor! Those were my favorite. Now I'm not a big fan of raw onion so I asked for it grilled and it did not disappoint. I also ordered a small side of cheese dip and they gave me a large order with chips. This place is GREAT. It's a small, family-run "stand" so to speak. They do have a few little indoor tables as well as picnic tables and an eating bar outside. All the food is made fresh to order by the matriarch of the family, and her adult children and nephews work up front. The food is delicious. We went back twice and tried nearly everything on the menu. My personal favorites were the fish, carnitas and shrimp tacos. They were all so good, I can't narrow it down more than the top three. This was the perfect stop on the last day of our terrific beach vacation! We ordered the ceviche which was refreshing and flavorful. It was filled with a generous serving of tilapia (not my favorite fish but oh well ), lime, onions, tomatoes, avocado and cilantro. The shrimp tacos my favorite!!!! Truthfully, it is "taco's" and I wasn't expecting to even give the energy to write a review....wow....I was wrong. Once again, we found a winner, thanks to Yelp reviews. We hit this place late last night after 8pm, just coming back from ferry ride. This place is small, mainly take-out, but they do have several, small outside patio seating areas, so we had the lighted patio area to ourselves. Just as previous reviews mentioned, this is authentic Mexican food & they have an extensive menu. Even though they were actually getting ready to close up early, they fully accommodated the 2 of us. I had the beef tongue tacos & my wife had the steak tacos both on fresh grilled corn tortillas. We also had their house guacamole & chips. If really good Mexican food is what you're craving, come here, you won't regret! My only reason for 4 stars, the location is small, the parking is somewhat limited with limited seating, but overall, I would recommend & definitely come back again. There is a wonderful staff/cook there and we just love the relaxed environment.
