Omg this place was absolutely delicious, I can't wait to go back. It very home style cooking. Respectfully as a Hispanic the first this I noticed was the salsa music playing. And I instantly looked in the kitchen and saw Hispanics cooking and I was like okay this place is giving "home feels". My friend and I ordered the same this 2 eggs over medium with cheese, home fries, toast and French toast. But when I tell you when I saw the home fries were orange/red I said okay that Sazon! These home fries ARE SEASONED!! And everything else that came with it was great. I'm not a big fan of going out for breakfast because I feel like I make better breakfast at home but if I had to choose to have breakfast I would come here because it feels like a real.home cooked meal! Oh and they are CASH ONLY but they have an ATM.
Strawberry Place has been sitting in my bookmarks for years - the high star average and great pics stood out but for one reason or another I never got around to checking it out. That all changed when one of my friends and I were looking to catch up over brunch; after some brainstorming we landed here, so off we went. Strawberry Place sits on one of the main commercial strips of Nyack. I did some research before going and noticed this was a pretty popular spot, didn't take reservations, and was cash only. With those things in mind, I was prepared for a long queue - but when we arrived we only had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a table. The interior isn't large and seating is kinda packed together with a combination of regular tables and stools along the counter. Decor is basic - there's some charm but isn't particularly interesting. SP is only open for breakfast and lunch, and has a good selection of items for both meals. There are traditional/basic American dishes as well as some fun selections that appeal to Instagram posters. I didn't want straight carbs, so I was looking at their omelettes and decided on the broccoli and cheddar; the dish came with home fries and my choice of toast (I got rye). My friend and I also decided to share the Nutella French toast, because fun. The omelette was fine - the broccoli pieces weren't that big and overall it was a little flat; the potatoes and toast were unremarkable. The Nutella French toast was a little underwhelming despite the description. The toast was stuffed with Nutella and bananas, and then drizzled with Nutella while also being donned with strawberries and whipped cream. If that wasn't enough, strawberry ice cream was added on top. I know berries aren't in season, but I found the textures off and the flavors overall lacking. Service left something to be desired - it was fast, however it was to a point where we felt rushed. As soon as our food hit the table so did the check, and then our server disappeared; we weren't offered to-go containers for our food, and we got into a situation where we paid but still had food on the table that we wanted wrapped. If there was a regular flow where we were offered to have our food wrapped, then the check, it would have been better. I would argue we sat there longer than if the standard flow was executed; in other words, their attempts at rushing us only led to a longer turnaround time for the table. This is where I would argue for a reservation or waitlist system so that they can keep better track of tables and enhance the customer experience. Easier said than done though - I noticed they don't seem to use any electronic systems to manage queues or print checks. Overall, I wasn't that impressed with Strawberry Place. The food was average, and the feeling of being rushed was a big turnoff (I can only imagine this being worse in the summer). I will say that the people are nice, and they did work to get us seated as soon as possible when we arrived. If I was a local I would consider returning, but I'm not running back anytime soon.
One of the best breakfast spot in town! Lots of classic diner favorites and incredibly friendly and helpful service. Can't go wrong with the stuffed French toast, literally it was packed with deliciously spiced apples and tried to perfection. Egg dishes are great too. Their iced coffee was a little on the weaker side, didn't really feel the caffeine at all. Cash only establishment but their ATM wasn't working when we went, they let us pay with Venmo instead.
I have this place 3 stars because it's average in service and food. I ordered lox and eggs wrap and it was good, the creamy eggs and avocado were really good. But after a couple bites you don't taste anything else. The potatoes are meh. The service left much to be desired. Server didn't bring water. I asked for Coffee and he brought it right away. When I asked for a refill he had to take my cup away from table which I didn't like. He didn't check on me after he brought food out. Maybe he was busy inside as I sat outside. Overall, i am not dying to come back and try more food but I didn't have a horrible experience either.
Such a cute breakfast spot. It's very small so there may be a bit of a wait but the staff are very friendly and accomodating. The bathrooms are TINY. I was told they were small and I was still surprised at the size. It's cash only so be prepared. As for the food, they have some of the best bacon I've ever had in my life! Perfect amount of crisp. I had the chocolate chip french toast. I was worried that it would be too sweet but it was very good. Strawberry Place is defintely worth the trip up from the Bronx.
This is a cash only place !! My favorite were the fries This is a small place so waiting will be required. Staff is super friendly but I dock some points because I saw the staff eating in the kitchen. The soda was flat. Needed refueling and the food needed just a bit more of seasoning. Other than that it was a great place to stop by during our travels
I eat in a lot of cool little dives around the country and this is just another one of those local little places with counter seating and table seating it's 12:30 and the place has a wait to sit. only took 5 min to get a table. I went with the special omelet, Feliz Navidad special, and it sounded great. With a side of pumpkin pankakes to share. Let's start with the service. food came out quickly, but my omelet was not made correctly, so it went back. Took a while to get it back, so I started on the pancakes, not even a hint of pumpkin in it, and so thin it might as well been called a crepe. When the omelet came back, it was corrected, but now it was very wet and seemed a little bland, although it had salsa on it. I had to wave staff members down just to get hot water for my tea refill. Never saw our server again and still gave her 20% tip as she was working hard that day. Cash only, so leave your cards at home.
We came here again for breakfast. We were seated right away. They have a lot of options on their menu including gluten-free and vegan, which I appreciated. We ordered the Nutella French toast, strawberry French toast and gluten-free blueberry pancakes all of which was delicious. This is a cute little quaint breakfast spot just remember to bring cash because it's a cash only. We will definitely be back.
Stopped in for a nice brunch ahead of some apple picking. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes but unfortunately it was about 40. Wouldn't normally bother me, but random "regulars" seemed to be just showing up and immediately being seated. Service was really quick and friendly which was appreciated after a long wait. The omelets, potatoes and toast were just fine, omelets could've used a lot more flavor. We tried the Autumn omelet and the Apple-licious. The coffee wasn't great and I feel like at a place like this, it should be. The waffle however, was phenomenal. So delicious. I got the Apple Pickin' Waffle. Overall, would recommend if you're in the area and enjoy a sweet breakfast - that seems to be the move here.
The restaurant gives off the impression of a quaint village local hotspot. I read wonderful things about the breakfast items, so instead of ordering lunch, I ordered the pancakes with chocolate chips and powdered sugar. They forgot the powdered sugar, so I could've done with a check-in by the server to request it again, but the pancakes were great nonetheless. The pancakes had a slightly crunchy exterior with the classic soft interior, so I had trouble restraining myself! It's cash only, but there is an ATM inside for convenience. Def a great spot for a breakfast/brunch!
It was the opposite of a stellar experience. We were seated pretty quickly, but that was the only thing that was quick about it. We sat for 25 minutes before I had to flag down the waitress to take our order. She seemed confused by why I was flagging her down. Anyway, we ordered two over easy eggs with corn beef hash and rye toast, a sandwiches on focaccia, and I asked if they were able to make me a patty melt? I told the waitress I was craving a patty melt on buttery, grilled rye, kind of like a grilled cheese with a burger stuffed inside. She told me they could make it. We also showed the waitress that one of us had a Placesettings that had two knives and no fork. She laughed and said she would bring a fork. A bus boy brought the food over and left quickly. There was no toast with the eggs, and my patty melt was not a patty melt. It was overly toasted rye bread with cheese on one side. There was no butter on it, it was not grilled- nothing. We also were missing a fork! There was no flagging down our waitress or anybody. She was scarce. She was behind the breakfast bar area chatting for a bit, and we actually never saw her again! I know she was busy, but she never checked back. Someone else just dropped the check on our table! I'm not gonna say I don't know what is happening here, because I do. it was way too busy to have such few waiters and waitresses. In such a small restaurant when you have to wait 25 minutes to order your food, that's absolutely ridiculous. And we had to share a fork! She never brought one and we never could find anyone to flag down and get one! Customers are very overlooked and it seems as though people at the counter and take out orders are more important. I'm Very disappointed because I had such a great dining experience here last time outside
I took my sister to breakfast here on a Saturday morning. It was a nice day, so we opted to sit outside. Service is friendly and very laid back. The menu is mostly breakfast items, particularly pancakes and french toast with different toppings, but they have some lunch options as well. I don't like that the specials menu did not list prices, but they were pretty cheap anyway. I ordered the Hungry Man platter, which came with your choice of beverage, two eggs, home fries, sausage, toast, and choice of pancakes or french toast. I chose the french toast and added Nutella and strawberries to it. The food had a very homemade feel and taste to it, and my french toast came out with a surprisingly large amount of strawberries. Their juices aren't freshly squeezed or anything, just stuff straight outta the can. I left very satisfied. read more

Very busy on the weekends but worth the wait! I decided to sit at the bar instead of waiting for our table and it was just as comfortable. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. I got Challah-Ween French Toast no chocolate chips and a side of bacon and home fries. The French toast was delicious and the home fries were very seasoned. On top of the food, they made sure our coffee cups were refilled. Perfect spot to catch up with friend! read more
This is a little cute breakfast/brunch spot. There was a little bit of wait for a table but the wait was definitely worth it. My fiancé got a coffee and I tried their lemonade (while waiting I saw they make their own). My lemonade was amazing! My fiancé ordered the California omelette and I ordered the waistline waffle (gluten free) from their Valentine's Day menu. My waffle was out of this world!!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our host Carl was very nice to us and he kept us updated on when our table was going to be ready while running around making sure all the tables were doing ok. Check this place out! The food here is absolutely delicious. I have Celiac, and they take every precaution to make my food gluten free. They can be quite busy on the weekends, but it's worth it. The pancakes are delicious, and the home fries are seasoned perfectly. It's a small place, very homey and inviting, and the food is always terrific. Give them a try! read more

Pretty cool place for breakfast if your are around Rockland county NY. Parking may be tough to find as there is on meter street parking. Its probably even worst on Sundays where people will hog the space forever. They have cool and ever changing menu which makes me want to go back. I don't remember what I ordered but i took a pic. Not sure if its cash only but it's worth going over there for a try. read more

Second visit here. My friends and family all spoke so highly of this place so I had to come. Super happy I did. The food is delish! Pretty quick service, clean, 3-4 table set up for outside seating. And I believe at this point they are taking indoor seating( mask required) CASH ONLY place. read more

This place is adorable! My Airbnb host recommended it for breakfast so I had to go. And I'm glad I did. They have pretty standard breakfast fare, and a few fun specials like waffles and ice cream. I got the eggs Florentine. The hollandaise was a little loose and the spinach was served raw but I didn't mind that. It was really good! Not sure what kind of English muffins they use but they're super fluffy and delicious. Home fries were good too, I prefer them a little more well done but the flavor was nice. They are cash only! I'll definitely come back here if I stay in Nyack again. Strawberry place is a reliable breakfast and lunch spot. read more

Two stars. One because nobody died, the other because our waitress was kind, empathetic, and was deeply moved by our plight. Okay, not really, but she agreed that the uncooked French fry was gross and the burger wasn't right. Anyhow, where to begin? I ordered a build your own burger, which is kind of like build-a-bear, except you build a burger. Sounds simple? It should be. Me: I will have a burger, medium rare, cheddar cheese, lettuce tomato and pastrami with a side of sweet potato fries. Restaurant: we will cook this burger however we want (which in this instance means every ounce of possible flavor will be burned beyond recognition prior to it being delivered to you) with onion (that i didn't ask for) an albino tomato that recently escaped from Sub-Saharan Africa and some pastrami, and no cheese for you, sorry. It was flavorless with the exception of the salt and ketchup that I put on it, and frankly an insult to hamburgers on a world wide level. Hands down the BEST ketchup and salt in town! The other dish received by RF was a build your own omelette, which is like a build a burger except in this instance they threw in, free of charge, an uncooked sweet potato fry IN THE middle of this unsightly abortion of an omelette. The presentation of both plates was deserving of a 1 star review. The servers were all pleasant, they did comp the omelette and offered to make a new burger but at that point, who would want to eat anything more? Anyhow. Comedenti Cave. To boot, they only take cash or Venmo so just be forewarned. A lot of positive reviews, so maybe I hit them on an off day, or maybe 455 people have no sense of taste. Take your pick. For me, Art Cafe, directly across the street by a long shot. The owner did refund the balance due, so he made things right on his end. +1/2 star for being a stand up business owner. read more

The service changed HERE! After being seated, we ordered drinks and food at the same time. I waited for 45+ minute before getting my food. Everyone else who came after me got their food before us.... i had to ask three times where is my food before getting an answer. In that span of time, two guys who was seated right before me had their food 20+ minute before us. Also, the couple who came 10 minute after us seated at the booth was served with omelettes before us. When i asked how long before i get my food for the third time, they had to check the kitchen and said my food is being cooked now. When i got my food, my omelette did not have melted cheese and had different kind of cheese than what was said in the menu. Although they did not charge for burger, my lunch with my mom and grandma was not amazing due to the wait. read more

The food is so good and the service is outstanding! There were so many items to choose from. I decided on the Texas French toast (stuffed French toast with cream cheese and blueberry sauce), and hubby had hungry man's breakfast (toast, French toast, eggs, bacon, home fries) and we shared the chicken fingers and fries. They put up privacy screens to separate the tables. I wish I lived nearby or I would be eating there almost every day. It's that good! If you are a tourist visiting Rockland, add this restaurant to your list of places to visit. You won't be disappointed! read more

Came here the other day for brunch with some friends. Loved it!! Super cute little breakfast spot. Service was great, food was delicious and the menu was totally affordable. Also loved the location, has a lot of personality. Super nice time here... definitely recommend!! Also after your meal there's a beautiful park down the hill with a nice view. Great little breakfast/brunch spot in the heart of this cute little town. With a name like 'Strawberry Place' it seemed like the Nutella stuffed challah French Toast topped with bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and strawberry ice cream (say whaaat?) was the obvious thing to get! Sure was! The fam enjoyed it every much! A huge towering plate of sinful strawberry goodness to split! They also ordered the 'Spring Fever Waffle' whole wheat waffle with melon, kiwi, banana, granola and whipped cream. Hubs said it was the ripest fruit he remembers ever having! They change the menu seasonally which I love! They also have a tons of omelettes, salads, and of course, breakfast treats. Portions were huge. Prices were fair. All employees were over the top sweet! We waited about 15 minutes on a Saturday morning on a holiday weekend. We walked into the small gallery next door to kill some time. Wasn't a bad wait. read more
I absolutely love it here, every time I come I enjoy my food. If you're coming on a weekend beware that there will be a wait but, trust me it's worth it. This time around I got chocolate chip and peanut butter pancakes with a side of home fries. Also, an omelet with mushrooms, swiss, avocado, garlic, and onions. That comes with toast and home fries. I split everything with my boyfriend like always! I'm guessing they use saźon on their home fries because they taste just like my moms, so yummy. The pancakes are always so good. Side note: you can't go wrong with Nutella stuffed in it and with their fresh fruit so I suggest that too. The omelet was super filling and the prices are amazing. You basically can't go wrong when ordering from their menu. read more

Seems like they have seasonal menu's as well. Had a pretty cool holiday festive menu today. This was a favorite go to for my friends. It's a really good place to go to for breakfast. It's got a really good and extensicve breakfast menu. We ordered from their Spring Specials menu - California Benedict (poached eggs on multigrain toast, avocado, asparagus) with side of bacon and lox, and the waistline waffle (or something like that) which had yogurt and fresh berries. Servings are not overwhelming and though we had both to share it was more than enough. read more

To start off, this place is CASH ONLY. And there's a sign right on the door you open up to enter to notify incoming customers. There is an ATM inside, too. I was looking for a spot that served great and creative breakfasts because I wanted to treat myself this past Monday. I drove 30 minutes for this spot, so it's safe to say I was really looking forward to dining in. My party of 3(including myself) stood awkwardly at the door for a few minute before someone attended us and told us to grab a table. They were quite busy, almost every table was taken on that Monday afternoon. We grabbed the table by the door and were given menus by what seemed to be the busser. Our server came to greet us and take our drink order. While we waited for our drinks, we were overwhelmed by the menu, but in a good way!! There were SO many great options to choose from and we simply could not pinpoint what we wanted. Everything seemed so creative and delicious! Mint chocolate chip waffles? Pumpkin pancakes? Nutella French toast? Peanut butter and chocolate chip pancakes? Eggs Benedict?! As a huge foodie, it can be quite difficult choosing what to order. But we finally made a decision! We ordered the classic Nutella French Toast, Pumpkin Pancakes (with cream cheese, hot cinnamon apples and blueberry purée), chicken fingers and waffle, a side of home fries, bacon and sausage. Okay, the pumpkin pancakes were REALLY pretty and cool! I was psyched about trying them out. In terms of flavor, they were okay. Not bad, but not AMAZING either. They didn't blow me away. But I appreciated how creative and different they were. The best part of them was the blueberry purée they put on the pancakes because it wasn't overly sweet. I appreciated that. My sister loooved her waffle with chicken fingers. Her dish did look a bit bland, but she ordered them plain. However, she loved it! She was really happy with her breakfast. And my cousin was in breakfast heaven with her Nutella French Toast. Out of all the presentations, hers was the most interesting! Basically, you get 4 pieces of French toast. Two pieces are stacked on top of each other with banana slices and Nutella in between. Her French toast was topped with more Nutella, whipped cream and a big scoop of Strawberry ice cream with many strawberry slices. The home fries were delish! They were seasoned nicely, I think with paprika. Maybe I'm wrong. But whatever's on them, I luv! The bacon and sausage were also on point! I gotta try their sausage, egg and cheese! While we sat and looked around at what others ordered, my mind wondered about how delicious their wraps and omelettes might be, they looked really yummy. The service was good. Nothing special but I can't complain about it. The place itself is very homey and cute! I genuinely can't wait to come back and try different things from their menu. I've already recommended this place to others because I do believe it's a place that serves food made with love. And I will always support local businesses like this. If you're in the mood for a great breakfast or wanting to try a creative waffle or pancake, this place is great! It's open 7 days a week and it's BYOB. Only downside is having cash on you, but it shouldn't stop you from trying it out at least once. Can't wait to come back! read more

Yes they have about 2-4 tables outside but also have limited capacity indoor seating with dividers between tables.

Not that I know of, but I'm not 100% sure. The best answer to this question is to call the restaurant directly.
