    Retro game room.

Tried this place and it was alright. I believe that they must have just opened this location because they were not able to serve alcohol due to a transfer liquor license snag, and the restaurant was sparsely decorated with an eclectic variety of retro items. The place has a good vibe though, the service was great, and people were friendly. We had an assortment of their vegan food ranging from cheese sticks, artichoke dip, pasta, to a couple of their sandwiches. All of the food was good but not really anything that wowed me to say. I will definitely try this place again and try a couple more of the menu items because I do see the potential for this place. If you are a plant based eater I would recommend giving it a try.

I'm always thrilled and so grateful when I discover that a vegan gem exists in a location I am visiting. The distance to Corktown, is it? Wasn't enough to stop us from venturing in the sub 20 degree weather to check this place out. It is SO cute inside. We were seated immediately during brunch service on a saturday. I was really hoping to try a coney dog because my vegetarianism precludes my consumption of the OG version. They only serve that shit during lunch or dinner so unfortunately, I was not able to order it. I was mentally in denial about this possibility when I was looking at the menu so I didn't really adequately have a back up planned. I asked the server for a recommendation and she directed me to the griddler, a breakfast sandwich of vegan sausage patty, eggs, and cheddar flanked by two pancake buns. DELICIOUS. What a nice combination of sweet and salty flavors. The pancakes were so good I wanted a plate of them afterwards. GF ordered the shrimp and grits which she really enjoyed. I'm not a fan of seafood so this wasn't for me. Servers were lovely but it took a long time for our drinks to come out, we had to ask again when the food was served but we had not received our beverages. I was so dead set on ordering the fucking vegan coney dog that we ordered it for delivery the following day. It was ECSTASY. I would say better than sex but that doesn't even do it justice. I'm so grateful I was able to try this heavenly Detroit classic without eating a dead animal to do so. We also ordered the chili cheese fries which were also fantastic. What a fucking gem of a place.

I really wanted to love brunch here because I've had SUCH good experiences at Street Beet before. Their smash burger and Crunchwrap are honestly 10/10 -- I've left raving about them in the past. This time I came for brunch and ordered the shaken espresso, biscuits and gravy, a pancake on the side, and the lemon arugula salad. Starting with the drink -- the shaken espresso was very sweet. I'm not really a sweets person, so it just wasn't for me. I was hoping for something a bit more balanced and bold. For food, I got the biscuits and gravy because I was craving something savory and salty... but surprisingly, the gravy tasted sweet. The biscuits also weren't as fluffy as I expected and were a little hard to cut into. I really wanted that soft, buttery, comforting brunch vibe and it just didn't hit. I also added a pancake on the side and it was insanely sweet as well. By that point I was genuinely confused why everything leaned so sugary. I totally get that some people love sweeter brunch options -- it just wasn't what I was expecting across the board. The lemon arugula salad though? Perfect. Fresh, balanced, and exactly what I needed to offset everything else. The location itself is super cute -- it has such a cool vintage diner feel, and I loved the free arcade games in the back. That part of the experience was honestly so fun. Our waitress was nice. Overall, I'd definitely still go back -- but I'll personally stick to their lunch/dinner menu next time since that's where they really shine for me.

We had the best brunch at Street Beet. We got there when they opened on a Sunday and grabbed some nearby street parking. The service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance was casual but welcoming. They had a massive brunch menu that was executed very well - we tried a lot of stuff and it was all delicious. We highly recommend Street Beet. Hey, play some arcade games while you're there! Have a cocktail or cocktail. You don't need to be vegan, you'll love what they're serving. I finally made it to Street Beet today after hearing about it for months. It definitely lived up to its amazing reputation. I ordered takeout - shrimp and grits and tuna sandwich. Both were delicious and I will definitely be back to try more items.

First time popping into the permanent location and it was soooooo nice! We loved the decor a lot! It was my husband, myself, and our toddler in and we were stoked to have some specials they had. We got the queso burger, the infamous bowl, side of fries, and buttered noodles (of course we got a shake to go too!) The food was outrageous and I could literally eat the queso off a dang shoe! Our server was so amazing. We will absolutely be making the drive to come eat again soon. I only wish I had enough room in my stomach to try more items!

The new place is so cute! So spacious and cute inside and they even have a little coffee bar. I went to brunch with my friend who is vegan and gluten free so this is the perfect restaurant for them because they have so so many options. I got the breakfast wrap and added avocado and they got the shrimp and grits both very good and filling since I was starving. Overall good time

This place is vegan heaven I truly haven't stopped popping up since the grand opening . The appetizers are so delicious and the entrees and super filling. The staff is remarkable and knowledgeable and super well versed in recommending the best options . My favorite vegan cuisine for sure

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and finally I had some time and I was in the area so I figured I'd step in. So here's the thing you see Street Beet on the outside and you assume that the door below the sign is where you enter no no no no my friend that is not the entrance. Let me help you out. You have two options you can enter through third Street bar and it's literally in the back where you're like. Am I supposed to be back there yep, you are because that's where street beet is. Or you can go through the alley. Enter through the back where there's outdoor seating and then street beat is right there. You'll thank me later because I was pulling on doors. I definitely shouldn't have been pulling on. Now let's get to the food part. You're here for the food. The place is entirely vegan, which was wonderful. I love a good vegan spot in Detroit. Now the pita wrap that I received was not the best. Don't get me wrong. I love the cheese. I love the pita that they used and I love the sauce however the tofu Batter that they used was a little bit too salty for me. Now the Patty melt was absolutely amazing. In fact, so delicious that I questioned if it was vegan or not. Overall, the staff was friendly. They had pastries they had drinks. The food was absolutely divine! Parking......We won't even go there. I circled the block like I was at a concert. Overall, I have to say the food was good. I recommend the patty melt. They are moving soon to a new location so maybe the whole entrance thing can be resolved. Overall, I have to say 4 out of 5 delicious. You know what I almost forgot something so when I arrive, they gave me a mega mechanism that was used to say when your order was ready I asked how far around the vicinity could be mechanism be she said around the building I got in my car parked in front of the establishment because I had figured out the whole parking thing and I waited. I noticed time had passed over 20 minutes and the thing had not buzzed. The next thing I know I go in I sit for another 10 minutes and I noticed that patrons who were there after me got their food. I looked at the order on the counter, and I correlated it with the number on the mechanism and handed her the mechanism that still had not buzzed by the way and got my food 30 minutes probably after it had been made. That's something they'll definitely have to fix prior to this move.

With the five star service they give I don't even mind the prices at all, like I would tip that much anyways because they deserve every penny they receive fr! And still tipped lmao. We pulled up to order but you have to pay online for card and they weren't accepting cash so we just ordered from the car with our phones from their website which was cool because it was cold outside lol. Fast service and I wish I would've caught the guys name working he was such a sweetheart! I love people who love their jobs and show it.

When you have brunch with the girls it's hard to get a vote in and tbh I plan everything else we do so I'm happy to take a break on Sunday because I am god after all. Anyway I went on my own accord today. The service was beautiful. I really don't love having to order off of my phone because it limits the server to customer experience but despite that my server Mary made me feel super connected to her. She had great recommendations and knowledgeable descriptions of the menu. I sat on the patio with a nice breeze and minimal bugs. Seating was spacious and delightful. I got the brekwhich and it was soooooo delish. Mary could tell I was a freak so she had the crazy idea to put their locally farmed 3 berry jam on it. I told her it reminded me of that one episode of SpongeBob and I lost her :/. The savory plus the sweet was heaven in my heart. If he could he would, and apparently everyone's afraid of heaven. I also got my fav a BM (Bloody Mary). I didn't ask what mix they use like I usually do, I had faith. And I was right to do so. McClure's! MY FAVORITE TIED WITH VIVIOS! It came with a spicy peppery rim which was aight but that's not really my thing, I'm not that freaky! But I don't yuck anyone's yum. I also got the NEW lavender mimosa. Fragrant, festive and fastidious. It was a bright light that woke me up in a way only summer light is able to do. Angels are blinding, I hope Mary can still see because she took a peak in my heart to deliver the best experience. 10/10 will be back Side note I really don't get poutine for breakfast but I appreciate people sticking with brand. I loved vegan phish sandwich, i was worried it would truly taste like fish, and I can't stand the taste of fish. But it didn't, the texture was definitely more correct flakey and moist, amazing toppings perfect ratio of bun and everything it was awesome. The kimchi chicken sandwich was equally amazing a little spicy couldn't finish way too full. THE BUFFALO CURRY FRIES ARE EVERYTHING, plenty to share. I'm vegetarian(I do eat cheese though but no mayo). All other sandwich options you can substitute the meat options for a vegan patty which I wished more places did. Also the table ordered the mushroom spread and the spicy olive spread everyone loved both. Other people at my table that order the lamb burger said it was fantastic. For a starter, the cashew Caesar salad ($8) was ordered. It came with mixed greens, house-made cashew Caesar dressing, fried shallots, and vegan parmesan. This was very tasty. For a meal, the lobster roll pizza ($45) was ordered. This was so unique that it had to be tried. It came with 6 oz. wild caught lobster, herb crème fraiche, celery and onion brunoise, Cape Cod chips, and chives with drawn butter and lemon. This was very rich, so the addition of the lemon juice and crunchy chips really helped offset that. It was also heavy due to the components incorporated. The lobster appeared fresh and there was plenty of it. The butter was not even needed, but solid for a slight dip. The crème fraiche was solid and different. The crust was crispy and great too.
