The hot chicken sandwich was very good. Very tender and seasoned well. right up there with Chic-fil-a. Definitely a reason to return.

I've never had a bad thing here. I've been a customer since the beginning, and even though they had some timing issues early on, they ironed those out and things are so much smoother now. I love that the owner doesn't like to sit and stagnate on a static menu. Things change, items come and go, and I think the restaurant is better for it. Not only is the food stellar, but the ownership and management are really passionate and dedicated. The owner always gives out his direct cell number on social media posts, a move that could easily go wrong, but which proves just how much he loves this business and the product he makes. My go-to meal here is the three-strips meal with secret sauce and the white chicken chili as my side. Perfect meal! The little baby donut you get is a great way to polish things off, too. Food is just average. Gave 1 star for the poor value. $49 for me and 3 kids to eat chicken strips and fries. I'd understand $30-$35 but not $49. Save your money and get some chicken nuggets at a gas station. I called the owner as he wanted. I was expecting professionalism. Instead I got aggression and an attempted guilt trip for complaining. I went here because it was rated high on Yelp. I realize now that through follow up, aggression and guilt by the owner the results have been skewed. This is another establishment that leaves our family confused. We do not really understand all the fuss about it. The owner raves about the food and quality which makes you think it's going to be outstanding. Well we have tried it a total of three times and something always leaves our tastebuds begging for more. I'm not usually one for fast food but when we saw the words "pork burgers" on their sign, we had to try it as soon as they opened! (Spoiler alert: we've been there at least 3 times and stopped through the drive thru a few times as well!) Their chicken strips are not the tenderloin...they are actual breast meat, pounded thin, and then battered and fried. The breading to chicken ratio is on point!!! Juicy, well seasoned, tender... The pork burgers are amazing! They are so flavorful and surprisingly not greasy...perfectly cooked and seasoned. If you've never eaten a pork burger, you don't know what you're missing. This place locally sourced as much as they can, including their chicken. Not to mention that they used an existing building (the old Wendy's) that had been sitting vacant. They even grow their own herbs in the store! You don't get much fresher than that. The prices are right, the food is flavorful and fresh and the staff is really nice. The owner was sitting next to us one day while we ate and we had a wonderful conversation with him. He's doing his best and I really hope this restaurant hangs around! Due to all the hype I decided to try this place out. I went on Monday and got the Mac-chicken-bacon bowl. Side of mashed potatoes and gravy. And a kids meal with chicken strips and french fries. I felt like on every dish there was way too much pepper used. It really took away from the actual flavor of the food. The mac & cheese tasted pretty good but the noodles were definitely under cooked. I did like how the chicken with the mac & cheese tasted a little sweeter than the chicken strips. But again, too much pepper used. Fries were good, and the seasoning reminded me of Cavender's (which is my fave) --- with extra pepper. LOL. I did like the little doughnuts! The mashed potatoes were not creamy but instead very very thick and solid. The flavor of the gravy reminded me of a real chicken gravy... But again the pepper. I will most likely not be back since it's a 30+ min drive. read more

This place is great for people with Celiac- good gluten free menu- if you like cold food. I keep returning and trying it and every time my fries and chicken nuggets are cold. At first I thought I was ordering it online too soon. So I started ordering online in their parking lot and waiting. Still cold. I've ordered in the drive-through and received lukewarm food. I'm not exactly sure how long they are holding the fries and the chicken but it's long enough that it's not hot. It's really disappointing because eating out for someone with severe celiac is a hard thing to do. But I think I'm going to have to start passing on this and going over to Vaders Bar. I went here with a group and everybody was stuffed. It really ruined productivity the rest of the day so obviously we've been back. I don't know if they have anything healthy but everything I've had so far is delicious. They have online ordering and you can pick up at their drive through window or go inside. The menu at this new restaurant features chicken strips, pork burgers, and baby donuts. My "strip's meal" ($5.99) was ready five minutes after I ordered at the counter. The three strips had a crunchy, tasty exterior, and the meat was white, but the pieces were irregular and the amount of meat was on the low side. The strawberry BBQ sauce was surprisingly good, and went well with the strips. The "superfood slaw" was somewhat sweet and creamy, but had just a small amount of kale. The baby cake donut was good. The service at the counter was rushed, and somewhat disorganized, while the dining area was Spartan and clean with upbeat background music. I can't say that I have ever had a bad experience at Strips. Back when they first opened they forgot to put sauces in our togo container, but a quick message to the owner Todd, and he had me fixed up for free sauces the next time we came in. This place uses all fresh ingredients, they are VERY favorable to anyone with a gluten intolerance, and everything they offer is delicious! Their batter for the chicken is not like any other place you could go, they use a zesty pretzel batter and it is great. Their pork burgers are the bomb, and did I mention the sandwiches are HUGE? You definitely get your money's worth no matter what you order. If you want dessert, they have that covered as well! Ice cream, baby donuts, or baby donuts with ice cream! They also have a punch card reward for ordering ice cream, so if you go often for dessert you should definitely start a card! My husband and I come here at least once or twice a month, and we have convinced our parents to try it as well! read more

This place does the DETAILS great! Which when there is a large crowd of competition in the fast food chicken industry with chic-fil-a, slims, canes, zaxbys, KFC, Popeye's ect you've gotta do the DETAILS correctly to stand out! I'm a regular here and I try to come after their lunch rush hour around 1:30 and their food is always super hot and fresh! They're light on the breading, in a good way, which then you can taste how good their actual chicken tastes, where as any other competitor kills it with their excessive breading to give you the look of a large chicken tender, but Strips just does everything morally correctly! Great quality and generous quantity versus their competition for the price! I either get 7 piece strips or 14 nuggets and they're both equally great! Their sauces are super delicious and tasty as well. This is a type of moms and pops place that you'll come back to and will gain your confidence to try something new on their menu! This place is so good. I got the chicken sandwich. Now that's a sandwich. The chicken strips are good sized and delicious. They did slide out of the bun while I was eating, but that was ok with me because that gave me a reason to dip them in their strawberry bbq sauce. Life changing. The Mac n cheese was also good. Very creamy. Needed a tad bit more salt, but would definitely get again. The best part of the meal came at the end with a cute, little powdered sugar donut. Yummy!! The service was also great. Ok, from the outside and location this place looks a little sketchy. But the reviews were good, so we gave it a shot. I will totally admit, this place really has some legit food. While chicken strips are their namesake, they actually offer other healthy options too. From salads to double meat to lettuce bun and various sauce choices, options are available. I love this place but this visit was a bit off for me. The guy at the register was a bit smug and off-putting. He did come by later and ask how our meal was though. The fries weren't hot so I definitely wish I had ordered a different side. As for the strips, they were perfect. My son thought the wings were just okay. Called them when I arrived and within 5 minutes I had my order and on my way home with very little contact.
